Just posted a review of Lovebeing...'s book.
Will pop book in the post to you, flyingcloud, tomorrow. Buy tissues before you open it, or have toilet roll in your left hand!!

Hope the posting is going ok with everyone for this month. Holidays may make things a little delayed, so keep posting on here and letting us all know where we are with it all. I have received my book for August.

WhatTheFrack · 03/08/2010 13:42

Have posted today, I think to Loler. I think it would have worked out cheaper getting the book sent to her from Play, will definitely get DH's work to do the posting from now on

jamaisjedors · 03/08/2010 23:02

have done a review on the facebook site.

lovebeing, your book from the last swap will be in the post tomorrow.

I posted to HC yesterday and received this morning - swap this end complete!

serial name changer jason - feel very sad that you didn't get to read the book - if I'd picked up the message would have said to keep the book for longer - I'm half way through the last dragon tattoo book - the new book looks great, you'll have to get it back at the end of the swaps?

WhatTheFrack · 05/08/2010 11:56

That's amazing Loler I only posted on Tuesday morning so only took two days, takes longer for the books to get to me when JJ posts within France. Won't complain about the price anymore then, I've got my money's worth.

MajorPettigrew · 05/08/2010 17:08

HC - received the book today. Thanks.

I'm reading Stone's Fall at the moment, so after I finish that, I'll crack on with this months.

By the way - the envelope was completely torn when it arrived, but book still in package and doesn't look any worse for it!!

Hope you're all doing well.

All grand here. We've inherited a cat - called Felicity (very grand here!) Children are beside themselves with her. Poor animal hasn't been left alone.

Anyway - tea to sort out...

PositiveAttitude · 09/08/2010 17:38

Flyingcloud have you received yet? Should have done, I posted early last week.

Happy reading of the August books. Grin

jamaisjedors · 09/08/2010 21:51

FC thanks, got mine when I got back from UK.

Looks like a nice easy read!

Is anyone else struggling to find time to read during the holidays? If I'm not working, I'm entertaining children or doing housework. No me time (boo hoo) Sad

jamaisjedors · 15/08/2010 15:41

Yes, I was expecting to have lots of time to read but haven't really, our youngest has stopped having afternoon sleeps (and so we have too! Grin) and the DS are sleeping in in the morning til 9am but going to bed at 10pm so no time at all to ourselves (but the lie-in is welcome).

I am having lots of lovely reading time. The joy of DH being unemployed we are sitting down of an afternoon and reading for an hour or so...... I have read my July book, my August book and another book, now reading a really thick tome which would normally take me weeks, I'm rattling through it. Older DCs help too and lack of summer weather, its been too foul to be doing much else!!

Hope youa re all enjoying the holidays still. I presume eve3ryone has received as expected?????

WhatTheFrack · 15/08/2010 19:21

Well PA and JJ I'm jealous of you both, my DS2 is waking up without fail at 6.30 every morning and is demanding breakfast by 7.00 and going to bed later too! And PA all that reading time, I've had no time whatsoever, so am very, very jealous - I'm on a guilt trip though, I work from home, so I say to the DC's let mummy work all morning in peace and then I'll play with you all afternoon. So then once they've been played with and entertained I've still got to finish off the day's work so end up working into the night, roll on la rentree and getting to sit in the car park at school for 15 mins with my book.

jamaisjedors · 19/08/2010 17:45

Hope you are less frantic?

I have sent this month's book on, because I am away next week and then back at work from Friday 27th so thought it best to do it while I got a chance.

Hope everyone else has been enjoying their summer?

We have finally got some sunshine today after 2 weeks of drizzle.

WhatTheFrack · 25/08/2010 09:01

Thank you book received, DH will post mine on next week.

jamaisjedors · 27/08/2010 16:37

Anyone else around? I was back to work today Sad and am manic next week.

OP posts:
HC1 · 30/08/2010 19:16

MP - I haven't quite finished the book yet - not a lot of time to read at the moment.
I should have posted it by the end of the week hope that is okay.

MajorPettigrew · 02/09/2010 15:33

No bother at all HC.
Just send it on when you are ready, there's no rush.
Been busy too, so had to skim read the end of Loler's (Sorry Loler!) to get it in the post, still late with it though!!

jamaisjedors · 04/09/2010 20:56

OK, bossy hat on, it's the 4th of September, how is everyone getting on?

I sent my book on a while ago to FC.

Have others received/sent?

OP posts:
WhatTheFrack · 06/09/2010 07:44

Hi JJ my book was sent to Loler last Thursday so she should have received mine now and I received my book which was sent from you. You receive from FC you don't send to her Grin.

Have just realised I never got my Salman Rushdie book back after the last swap does anyone have it or is it with that Cariboo person? JJ is it you who has her email address? If so can you forward it to me, that book was a birthday present from a close friend in the UK so I'll have to ask her to return it to me.

Hope everyone is OK and enjoying that back to school feeling.

jamaisjedors · 06/09/2010 12:57

duh! good job someone's on the ball!

Don't think cariboo got your Salman Rushdie, because that was the first one I got, before she joined.

loler · 06/09/2010 14:24

Yuck - school back tomorrow - having a break from naming stuff!

Sent to HC and have got my book. Deeply into the very trashy trueblood books left over from the beach so will have to drag myself away from them to do slightly higher brow reading!

WhatTheFrack · 06/09/2010 16:29

Loler I'd do the True Blood ones first, if you don't you'll be drawn straight back to them with that book.

Besides they're fun!

PositiveAttitude · 08/09/2010 22:14

Sorry for going awol. - bit of a health issue going on here, so a bit like mush brain!!

Thanks for keeping it all on track JJ.

Thank you to Major for the book and lovely chocolate! Grin

I send to FC!!!
FC - Hope you got last months, I never heard that you had, but I assume I would have heard if you hadnt. Wink You should have this months now, too.

Just to keep you all updated, Ilove.. has been by-passed for now, but may jump back in. Therefore, I have a book a month in hand, IYSWIM. It wont affect anyone else and you will all get a book each month - we have one more book then person doing the rounds.

Hope you are all getting back to the Autumn routine and DCs have started school without too much stress.

jamaisjedors · 09/09/2010 08:26

Oh no, hope it's nothing too serious, facebook if you want to chat?

I haven't had anything from FC but will keep watching the post - am nearing the end of my current book so would be good to know whether to start a new one yet or not.

Back to school/work is turning my brain into mush at the moment too, instead of reading in the evenings I am watching a box set of Blush Grey's anatomy!

loler · 09/09/2010 13:22

PA - hope everything sorts itself out soon xo
