WANTED: 12 lovely mums for a new book club

Hello, My name is Dominique, I am a keen reader and I just find this idea of a book club fabulous. I was too late for joining the last thread s I guess the best is to start a new one. I am a mother of 2 (3 years and a great reader of 12) My house is full of books (in french and english.....

Do you think we need to start the selecting a new round of books - took us a while to agree the lists last time (and I want to get rid of a load of books hanging around so when I have it agreed I can belatedly spring clean!)

Good idea on the list, don't have many books around the house have tended to stick to library lately. Will have a good hunt.

Anyone fancy the True Blood books? Got loads of those

Good idea to get the lists sorted out on the chat.

I have also jotted down a couple of things that we need to get sorted between us to ease this whole process.
Feeling knackered tonight after a crap day at work, but I will post these before the chat time, so that everyone can have a good look and think about what we all want to agree about. Does that sound OK?

Guess what.. I have finished my book!!!! Can't remember the last time i read one so fast.

Now just have to try and find some in the house i ahve read for the selection process

Laptop problems here over the last week. Our Agenda is on my old laptop and I now have a sparkly new one! I will sort it and post it soon. Dont get too excited, its only a few random notes.

My birthday is on sat 33 is year of unemployment and now I am having to find a job.

Don't you dare change your name it is one of my favourites, if I had a pound for everytime I had used your name when I was at work I wouldn't be looking for a job!

Hope the job hunting goes well. DH is currently looking for another job and its not easy. He will be unemployed at end of July and it is hurtling towards us at a real pace of knots. Eeeekkkk!! Large mortgage, 5 DCs and my part-time jobs not bringing in a fortune, actually bringing in peanuts!! But I love them, so really dont want to have to change my job, unless I have to. Hay Ho!! All good fun and yes, POSITIVE ATTITUDE definitely needed at the moment!

I had asked Wiseoldelf to come along and post on here, but nothing from her yet. If anyone "sees" her out there, grab her and drag her kicking and screaming in this direction!!!!!!

Fingers crossed for your dh, I can't believe how quickly the last year has gone tbh. Everything happens for a reason, so I'm sure he will find something better. Glad to have made your day, happy to do it anytime!

Right, I have posted a discussion on facebook with lots of bits in - Including the much awaited for "agenda". - Very grand for basically a list of things I think we need to get organised and agreement on.
