Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Think there’s a shadow of a line and need to know to start meds - after many losses

I hope someone can help. I’m convinced there's a shadow of a line. I’ve had many losses and have been prescribed high dose prednisolone, progesterone, aspirin, clexan injection etc. as I have issues with NK cells. Most of my losses have been at a very early stage so it is time sensitive to start the meds; otherwise I’d just wait until I know for sure I’m pregnant. We cannot seem to get a decent pregnancy test. FRERs are nowhere to be found. DH is trying to get a boots 5 days early. I hate all the blue dye ones. Any other decent tests? I think a FRER might arrive from Amazon tomorrow but I’ve heard Amazon FRERs are dodgy. I don’t want to start that type of medication unnecessarily as it’s strong, progesterone messes with my cycle etc. But I’m also worried if I don’t ‘get in there’ early it will be another loss. Thought I saw a tiny shadow of line last night but it didn’t come up on a picture and I’m convinced today’s is noticeable (if you look closely). Any thoughts? What would you do?

Yup, can definitely see it! I know nothing about the meds so can't help there, but you're not alone in seeing a line :)

I have overactive nk cells and my protocol is steroids from ovulation so it's not going to harm to start them now along with your other meds. I do think there is something there, good luck.

I can't tell if that's a line or it's just where the end part meets the stick if that makes sense? You need a digital one, as those types are unreliable. Although, I didn't use a digital one this time, but did use a Clear Blue early detection (waited until 4 days overdue though). Good luck.

Thanks so much everyone. @VenusStarr do you mind me asking what dose prednisolone you're on, and what the protocol is if you're not pregnant in terms of when to stop/how to taper down or cold turkey?

I can see a line. I had lines like that with my second for a while and he was a successful pregnancy. Obviously I don't want to get your hopes up but I'd start the meds if I was you.

I think there's a very very faint line

Thanks @mrmagpie
DH managed to get a boots 5 day early test so will do that as well, depending on the boots test I'll start the meds I think

Thanks @Olika. Expect one person everyone who has posted has agreed with me. DH doesn't seem to see it but he's not done hundreds of tests like I have...

@DancinOnTheCeiling 25mg pred, I've only had to taper when I've been on it more than 4 weeks, so short term you would be fine. Buy hopefully it will be a moot point and you'll be on it for your whole protocol. Mine is to 12 weeks then taper by 5mg every 5 days, so fully off by 16 weeks.

Take in the morning after today as itcan affect your sleep x

🙏 ❤️

Have just taken another easy@home; about 3.5 hours later than the first. My PM tests have always tended to be more reliable than earlier in the day for some reason. I am sure the line has got darker

If anyone is on treatment for NK cells - please feel free to share your stories/direkt me to the right thread

There’s definitely a line. I don’t understand the medication side but there’s certainly some pregnancy hormone present within your urine

Thanks @TheRosesAreInBloom @elcee23 @MotherofDogs3 @CoffeeMama89 and everyone else I might have forgotten to tag. I see other threads with very faint lines where the OP asks for line eyes and lots of people say they can't see anything, so it is reassuring to see that almost everyone on this thread is saying they can see something.

Does anyone know if easy@home tests are better/lower sensitivity than boots five days early ones?

Definitely a line there OP.

I also took pred from ovulation and cyclogest from just after so I’d get started on those right away and keep testing (x 1 per day, no more than that).

best of luck!

Thanks @harrietm87. Yes good point about testing just once a day.
