So so so sorry for photos - I've been bleeding for weeks - honestly can't even remember the last time I had sex (1 year old in bed with us hehe). I've had some small clots - but this one just come today-
I was on antibiotics last week because when I contacted the doctors about the clots and a smell they said it was Bacterial vaginosis which I had a few years back so I knew it was the same- anyway this has just happened. I have had a closer look- can't see any 'form' of a child or little bones etc..
what do people think? Xx

It really looks extremely similar to a blood clot I passed when I was 9 weeks pregnant. I described it as 'liver' like. I thought it was my baby and carried it around A&E for hours so the doctor could inspect it when I finally got seen. Mine was definitely a blood clot.

Sunnydayshereatlast · 03/07/2020 22:33

When I passed an intact 8 week old foetus the 'tissue' was clearly tinged blue. And clearly a foetus and sac..

ComfyCosyGood · 03/07/2020 22:35

Blood clot. TMI but I've had 3 miscarriages and both of the two that were that size I could see the beginnings of a baby shape and it was more see through (like an egg would be).

Have you had any cramps? In my experience severe cramps = passing the actual MC, but you can pass huge blood clots relatively pain-free that can be the result of many things

To me anyway this seems like a clot, but as always if you're worried get in touch with your GP or Early Pregnancy Unit for tests

redwoodmazza · 04/07/2020 11:02

I think it's a blood clot too.

VenusStarr · 04/07/2020 17:41

I think blood clot too - I passed lots like this during both my miscarriages but it was very clear when I passed the sac and it was a very distinctive shape and greyish in colour

dogloverx · 05/07/2020 00:26

I think blood clot I had a miscarriage around this far gone a few weeks ago and I knew it was the baby as could tell the shape inside the sac xx

Iggi999 · 05/07/2020 00:34

Agree with others, it is not the colour of a pregnancy sac, and I'd be surprised if you could pass that without a lot of pain. You shouldn't be bleeding for weeks though?

WoWsers16 · 05/07/2020 09:00

Thank you for all your replies - I agree I think it's a blood clot now- I think I was just a panicky initially as I've not had clots so big before and was a shock!
After this - I have stopped bleeding which is good so hoping now this clot has passed it will be all normal again: however I've kept photos and will ring doctors if any more issues.
Again thank you everyone for replying xx

Just so you know @WoWsers16 - during MC you can pass clots the size of a tennis ball, or your own hand. :s

I dont say this to scare you Thanks and mine even at that size weren't painful, but if it happens don't be scared, its quite common, wishing you all the best going forward my dear xx

Persiaclementine · 06/07/2020 18:34

It's a blood clot, a pregnancy you will pass a sac that is grey and red, oval shaped with a stork like thing on one side, you can feel the membrane of the sac and water inside

Iggi999 · 06/07/2020 19:33

To be fair a mc needs to be off a certain duration to pass a noticeable sack. I've had one that's were just extra heavy bleeding and clots, and one with a clear sac (which was a bit further on).
Flowers to all

Iggi999 · 06/07/2020 19:34

Sac not sack, it's not bloody Santa Blush

WoWsers16 · 12/07/2020 10:17

Well I've been having lots of clots coming out - bigger one today - I know it's not a miscarriage. I seem to pass blood clots and blood out of my vagina when I have a number 2! So I'm off to doctors tomorrow for an examination xx

I'm glad you're going in, that's been quite a long period of time now they might do a scan to have a look at what's going on

So this happened December 2019 and I just can’t move past it. It was Tuesday and I started with horrific cramps, so painful, I was loosing lots of blood, a massive loose clot came away, then about 20 mins later I lost this.

Now I went to the doctors but they didn’t indicate anything. Has anyone ever experienced loosing anything like This. I’m almost 99% sure it’s a misscariage but I’m unsure of how far or anything.

Any advice is helpful, so I can start to heal properly ♥️

@FARROW87 no one can say for sure, but pregnancy /miscarriage tissue is usually greyish not red. If that was all that came out with blood, I'd say it's more likely that there was a build up of uterine lining that just all got shed at once.

MixedUpFiles · 06/03/2021 15:24

I pass clots that look like that every single period.

The first time I passed an especially large one I wondered the very same thing.

mrsbyers · 06/03/2021 15:43

As a previous poster said a miscarriage tends to produce a grey output , one of mine looked just like a very premature baby rabbit - grey in colour

They’re blood clots
BethJadee · 30/05/2021 14:06

Hi,
About two and a half weeks ago I had taken a couple pregnancy test strips and they came back with faint lines but visible, thursday just gone around 6pm I started bleeding and getting really bad stomach pains just below my tummy,it hurt to walk and I couldn’t do nothing but put myself into a ball and cry,I rang 999 and they sent a ambulance out at 20 past 2 in the morning,I got up into hospital they took loads of bloods from me,everything came back normal and fine except the pregnancy one it came back negative💔 I stopped bleeding this morning but only started bleeding again maybe 15/20 mins ago and I’m passing clots again,I have pains again,I’m so hurt and confused,I don’t understand what’s going on with me and my body,if this is me going through a miscarriage or not😭 I’m not sure not to upload pictures,as I’ve just taken a couple of a clot I have just passed :(

Alyssasbackrolls · 30/05/2021 14:09

My 12 week miscarriage was bloody but smooth and bean shaped, inch and a half tall, not irregular if that's any help. I Presume it was the sac. I'd say that's a blood clot OP.

Hello

MatelaD · 26/06/2021 21:42

Hello. I would like to add some photos. Can someone help?

GigiMcLovin · 23/07/2021 06:28

Hello!
Can you please update me if this was a miscarriage or a blood clot and the outcome.. I’m having exact same looking discharge today and very nervous that I’m having a miscarriage 😞
