Warning photo! Is this a miscarriage or a big blood clot

So so so sorry for photos - I've been bleeding for weeks - honestly can't even remember the last time I had sex (1 year old in bed with us hehe). I've had some small clots - but this one just come today-
I was on antibiotics last week because when I contacted the doctors about the clots and a smell they said it was Bacterial vaginosis which I had a few years back so I knew it was the same- anyway this has just happened. I have had a closer look- can't see any 'form' of a child or little bones etc..
what do people think? Xx

Manda95 to me that does look like a miscarriage, get a pregnancy test ASAP & tell your doctor if it is positive, it could be a complete miscarriage or you could need a scan to check it is all gone, it could even be a twin pregnancy & you could have lost one baby, otherwise you need to be checked out for other problems like endometriosis, PID etc.

It looks like a clot to me. I had a miscarriage not long ago and I passed it at home, I had a big clot, then a few days later the baby passed and it was very dark brown tissue with a little sac with a baby inside. Stopped growing at 8 weeks but sac a carried on growing so it was very noticeable what it was.

I was really worried I would t know the difference as I didn’t want to flush the baby down the toilet, but it was very different when it passed, it depends on how far gone you are though.

Hi im so sorry for the pictures but i have been bleeding heavy and i just want your opinions on if you think Miscarriage or blood clots.

I will add i have put on weight recently and had people ask if im pregnant but when ive taken tests at two different times both were negative.

I have had a lot of cramping pains but i get that on a period anyway. I normally suffer heavy periods but this one concerns me.

It has a thick jelly like consistency and it hurt like hell when passing.

I keep feeling dizzy and sick and very fatigued.

I will of course see my doctor when i can but just want some opinions first thank you.

P.s i had a baby 18 months ago not sure if thats even relevant but thought i would mention anyway.

I passed this clot ??? This huge the first time in my life. Almost the size of my thumb!!!! Usually I do have clots but they’re jelly like? This time this is quite hard? & doesn’t disintegrate when I press it. Should i be worried??

@Worriedplshelp are you pregnant? I would get a GPS advice. Life is to precious to take medical risks. I’m sure you are fine but a MOT would put your mind at ease. If you’re pregnant contact your local EPAU for advice! Good luck and we are here if you need a rant/chat.

Is this a regular period blood clot? It was pretty big and usually they’re round blobs but this one is like stringy and looks thicker towards the bottom. Could it have been a miscarriage somehow?
period did come a bit earlier than usual and this time I got bad acne around my chin which is never as bad as it was this time.

I started heavy bleeding and then a day after and i got these 3 clots all within an hour from each other, and a really sharp pain in my stomach and cramps
I am on birth control but all the symptoms indicate that it could be a miscarriage so i was wondering if anyone knows what it could be

Hey, Just wondering if anyone can possibly tell me if this is a normal period blood clot or a miscarriage ? I am on birth control but i’m not great with it and I am sexually active. I haven’t taken a pregnancy test yet but I will soon. I have severe cramps that I have never had before and back pain.

@haleykim23 I really couldn't tell - all sorts of unusual things can come out in a period, but it could be part of a miscarriage too. Did you take the test?

This is a really gross post but Just wanted to ask a question, I’m 6 weeks pregnant and had really light spotting for the past 6/7 days , the last 2 days it’s been more heavy, bright red and there’s been blood clots and I had one that was really large , I had a private scan on Wednesday when I was only lightly bleeding and baby was all good , we see the heartbeat , I went to A&E last night and they done an internal examination, couldn’t do no scans, and he said my cervix was still shut and he couldn’t see any active bleeding but could see I had bled but today I am still bleeding and having tiny clots and “stringy bits”, all my blood tests were good , just wanted to know if anyone had this before and they had a good outcome ❤️‍🩹

Did you have blood clots in general or only on period

Only on period never this big tho

My miscarriage didn’t look like that. Mine was blue grey rather than red, and had the shape of a sac, approx eight weeks.

hello I have a question ? I am currently pregnant this is my first pregnancy I been to one ultrasound so far everything was okay now Lastnight I was asleep n kinda felt cramps and they were getting worse and worse so I went to the bathroom n ah little blood was on the tissue when I wiped. I went back to my bed start bleeding heavy more then my period it wouldn’t stop ! Then that’s when that big blood clot came out of me and I just kept constantly bleeding and getting really sharp cramps worse then my period I also threw up afterwards and another clot came out but it was a little smaller then that one ! I’m still bleeding a little bit n have mild cramps is this a miscarriage?

I’m 5 weeks 4 day pregnant so I don’t know if this miscarriage or blood clot, I went to the er last night they said the baby is fine and baby is in right place I wasn’t having no high risk miscarriage at all they had do the ultrasound it’s say everything look normal , I been bleeding since yesterday till today I had a blood clot came out I had some pain earlier . I’m going to the doctor in the morning to do the ultrasound.

I'm sorry to see these recent posts, I think with any unexplained bleeding in pregnancy you need to contact you midwife or local EPU (early pregnancy unit) for advice and hopefully they will see you. If the worst has happened I'm really sorry for you both

Hey yall I need your advice. I went to the ER yesterday morning due to bleeding while 6w2d pregnant. They checked me out and said that the baby is perfectly fine and they found a heart beat. However a few hours later while at home I passed this with no pain and bleeding has slowed down. Idk if it's from having 2 internal ultrasounds the past 2 days or what. Any advice on if this is a blood clot or is it possibly my baby?

That’s 100% a clot and not your baby.

it’s quite noticeably different when the sac passes, it’s like a small ball which is grey/pink/red in colour and has a sort of membrane down the side.

thats experience anyway. I used to take a sieve with me when I went to the toilet as I was too scared of it being flushed down the toilet as I wanted to bury it. I used to hold the sieve under me.

@Fairylightsandstuff thank you for your advice with everything that has happened I was shook. I was unsure and freaking out. So I called the ER that I went to and asked them about it and they said it sounded like a clot. So we are praying we see the baby at our first OB appointment. 🙏 no bleeding after I past that thing. Is it normal not to have any symptoms like morning sickness or nausea? I just feel tired most of the time.

@Alexus95 ive had 8 baby’s and two miscarriages, I didn’t feel sick with one of miscarriages but then I didn’t with one of my babies either so it can e a sign but it can mean nothing. Fingers crossed everything is fine x
