Warning photo! Is this a miscarriage or a big blood clot

So so so sorry for photos - I've been bleeding for weeks - honestly can't even remember the last time I had sex (1 year old in bed with us hehe). I've had some small clots - but this one just come today-
I was on antibiotics last week because when I contacted the doctors about the clots and a smell they said it was Bacterial vaginosis which I had a few years back so I knew it was the same- anyway this has just happened. I have had a closer look- can't see any 'form' of a child or little bones etc..
what do people think? Xx

I passed something similar to your picture. My first 3 days I bleed brown blood. I passed what look to be blood clots for week straight but im still bleeding its going on a week and half. I missed 2 period even had some pregnancy symptoms but there longer present. Plus no one confirm if i was even pregnant. I’m just feeling sad because i think i was.

Hi I’m new on here and have a question? I’m 11weeks and 1day pregnant by my last period this is my 4th pregnancy including 1 miscarriage, I have been experiencing bleeding since Tuesday night with some cramps not server enough for me to take pain relief, It started brown with a few little clots but now I’m wearing a pad and it’s like a period with red blood and clots size of 20p? I have to wait for a phone call from early pregnancy unit? Any one have any ideas what could be going on with me?

@ @WoWsers16 what did your doctor say about passing clots vaginally while having a bowel movement? I am having that same issue.

Hello! I'm so sorry I never got any notifications to say people had commented -
Well they were blood clots - after I'd been to the doctors I had ultrasounds that were clear and clear swabs, I then got an appointment at the hospital.

It ended up being cervical cancer. I was stage 2B and I had radiotherapy and chemotherapy. It's been a difficult year- the pandemic didn't help!
So my word to anyone is if you're having blood clots see the doctor ASAP for checks. This was my only symptom (and bleeding after sex). I was so lucky to be diagnosed as my smears have always been clear! I also have never had HPV. Any questions please just ask xx

I don't know if this was aimed at me or another poster but I wasn't pregnant at all - these were blood clots as a cervical cancer symptom unfortunately :(

When I miscarried it had a blue tinge, and was in the shape of a sac - nothing like this.

I'm now in remission! I had chemotherapy and radiotherapy, been a tough year! I've never missed a smear and they've always been clear so a massive shock!

But all good hopefully- my year scan was clear but obviously it's a worry it will come back at some point

Early menopause isn't the best either! Xxx

Sorry about graphic content. I was wondering if I miscarried? I suddenly had urgency to pee and I had very sharp lower abdomen pain when I gone to urinate. Last night, I was cramping so much and had severe lower back pain too.

It looks like a blood clot but normally when I pass clots there's two or more at same time. Yet, this one is only one at time.

Hello I'm 34 yrs old, I have no children. I would love to have kids but don't think I can. I had a miscarriage in 2010. Which I knew I was pregnant at the time. Well I started my period 2 days ago my period are very painful but this time it's worse then normal for me. I went to the restroom and I'm not sure what happened, I always have clots but I literally felt this just fall out

Did you find out what that was? I just had something by similar pass while using the bathroom..this makes me nervous 😐

However I recently got a positive test. Now I am bleeding heavily and passing large clots. The embryo hasn't come out yet. Yes I have pelvic pressure with it as well as abdominal pain with cramping. When will it come out and is it possible to have all the symptoms and yet it still hold on going on to have a normal pregnancy?

Basically I’m after some information/advice.

Me and my oh was dtd a few weeks ago and when we were finished I passed a biggish clot it was firm almost felt like a stone. I do bleed in between my periods but had tests done 2yrs ago and everything was normal. I’ve had a baby and an ectopic since and it’s gone back to bleeding irregular.
Anyway tonight I went to the toilet for a number 2 and passed a big hard clot (painless) obviously I’m totally freaked!

Ever since the first clot I booked an app with gp he put it down to cervical ectropion which I’ve never had he told me it was from contraception but I haven’t been in contraception for 8yrs (little one is IVF baby) and never swabbed etc he referred me to gynae and she took some swabs but only to rule out infection. I haven’t had any results back but my smear is due and booked in for 9th March. I guess I just want answers I’m so scared. This isn’t normal for me.

Should I have had bloods done and a urine sample?

Hey so sorry to hear about this!
Just to mention that smears only test for HPV now not cancer cells so a clear smear doesn't mean no cancer!
Blood clots were a big part of my diagnosis to be honest -

I would see what your smear says - however I would also try and ask for bloods and note down any other symptoms you may have.

If you bleed during your smear too check that - as when I had an interval ultrasound I bled loads.
Are there any smells too?

I will wait for my smear I have bloods booked in for this coming Monday. I bled whilst gynae took swabs and afterwards. They’ve now ruled out infection as they came back clear. I’m unsure on smell cos doesn’t blood just smell anyway?

I have 3 children but now can't have anymore due to my treatMent - so I'm lucky in that aspect that I've already got children.

Good morning ladies I was having bleeding for a week with little cramps last night I felt really wet when I went to the restroom I had blood on my underwear and I had a passed something it looked like a blood clot it was red in color I am currently 8 weeks and six days after I passed the clot I had a little bleeding but since has stopped can anyone tell me if this is normal

I found out I'm pregnant 5 weeks ago and suddenly a strange clot fell out while I was going to the restroom and I had intense pain 😫 bleeding and brown spotting also happened and I'm confused 😕
