Pregnant after 2 consecutive losses

Hi looking for some reassurance or advice from any pregnant again after consecutive losses. I took a test 17th it was positive and have taken daily since. Other than sore boobs and sleepiness loads of cramps I've no sickness. I'm only just 4 weeks. I'm paranoid every time I go the toilet that I will see blood. I didn't even get excited when I seen the two lines just numb. I don't even want to get attached because it will probably happen again. How did you get through it ? I'm going crazy already.

Getting there, had a lovely visit today from Sarah one of the honeysuckle volunteers brought a lovely card and a angel ornament with faith on. How long til your next scan? Xx

ChesMum2019 · 10/04/2019 23:37

That's nice. It's not till 13 wk 5 days. So 13 more days. It's late because the recurrent unit monitor me for longer then fit in scan as late as possible. Are you back at hospital Friday? X

Ahh I see it's good that you get monitored for longer, how come they do the scan later? Yep back on Friday not looking forward to it. X

ChesMum2019 · 13/04/2019 09:55

Hope you got on ok yesterday Laura. Been thinking of you x x

Hey Jenn, they tried abdominal scan first then said they needed to do the internal one which was hoping they wouldn't have to but was clearer, they were very thorough and checked everything, said they couldn't see that any of the pregnancy was there so didn't have to make anymore hard decisions, did find a cyst on my left ovary so will be writing to my GP to book a scan in 3 months time and to book an appointment with my GP for few weeks time to have a check up. Xx

ChesMum2019 · 13/04/2019 14:22

I wouldn't worry about the cyst I had the same after my miscarriages and they cleared up by time I had a follow up scan. Glad your doing ok hun and the scan went as well as can Be x

Will try not to, reassuring to know that yours had cleared up when you had your follow up scan. I'm doing ok just getting by day by day. Thinking of getting a tattoo done. Xx

ChesMum2019 · 13/04/2019 20:04

Ahh I did. I have 3 tiny hearts on my wrist for each of my losses. It was actually comforting and I love it x

That's so lovely, I have a tattoo on my arm of a butterfly and also a tattoo on my wrist of my brother's name which came from the last birthday card he gave to me, he passed away in 2014 it is really comforting, was thinking of getting a tattoo on my other wrist or on top of my chest, maybe footprints or a branch with little birds on. Xx

ChesMum2019 · 23/04/2019 10:45

Hi Laura. Just thought I would pop on and see how you are doing x x

Hi Jen, came back from Anglesey today which was nice, feeling a little down last few days. Still waiting for the appointment letter to come. How you doing? Xx

ChesMum2019 · 25/04/2019 07:27

Glad you had a little break. There is no right way to feel after loss just go with how your feeling My referral appointment was about 3 months later. Seemed to take a while. Here if you need to talk hun. Big hugs

They did say it could take I think up to 12 weeks I think for the appointment seems ages away but I know there would be no point seeing anyone until results are in. Trying to distract myself with organising my little boys birthday in June. Thanks Jen big hugs back to you. Xx

ChesMum2019 · 25/04/2019 18:54

Hopefully it will be sooner. On your first visit to the clinic they will run a load of blood tests. They take 8 weeks. And they ask you not to try while waiting which is frustrating. It's both my daughters birthdays next week so ive been busy organising them. X

Here's hoping so, everything seems to take so long I remember Ann Maria saying they ask you don't try whilst waiting which is fine with me cause I can't face going through what I did, want to wait til everything has been done first. Ahh how lovely a welcome distraction for you, have you got more follow ups?. Xx

ChesMum2019 · 25/04/2019 22:10

Yeah I had scan yesterday 14wks. Another scan and app at the clinic at 16 weeks. Can't fault the way they keep such a close eye on you. I had a major bleed a week ago. ( flooded floor bed pjs never seen anything like it ) thought it was game over. They said it was because my placenta is lying low and i May bleed again but it's ok and that hopefully it will move up as I grow. Never easy and straight forward. But happy to have them being so helpful and reassuring. I found the wait hard when they did the tests and frustrating when they said they found no cause. But equally reassuring. I hope your app comes through really soon. X

They certainly sound like they keep a close eye on you which is what you need. Oh no way that must have been so scary for you! Never is a easy time, like you say bet you're happy to know that they are there for you. Can see where you are coming from when there is no known cause for something, I know what that's like I have an ongoing neurological condition and I've not been able to find out why. I'm really hoping so too. Xx

Stephmarson · 27/04/2019 21:36

Really struggling - currently miscarrying for the 6th time in a row (no children) and I feel all hope of ever holding my baby in my arms has gone. Just need people to talk to x

Stephmarson · 27/04/2019 21:39

I'm ok Hun, I think I've had my first AF started yesterday so will be able to key them know when we go next week. Feeling anxious about what next week will bring but know it's a step in the right direction. Glad that you are ok 🙂 x

Lauraliverpool · 07/05/2019 17:48

Hey Jenn, how are you and bump going?, Hope you are ok. Just wondering could you give me an idea of what to expect on Thursday, feeling a little anxious. Xx

ChesMum2019 · 07/05/2019 18:05

From what I can remember they took bloods and ran through my history. Explained about the tests they would do. They take what bloods they can while you are there and then at different points in your cycle you will go back for more blood tests. Then an app for I think 8 weeks later. It was Ann Marie and Linda Watkins and both were lovely and reassuring. Let me know how you get on. I'm doing good thanks hunny x
