Pregnant after 2 consecutive losses

Hi looking for some reassurance or advice from any pregnant again after consecutive losses. I took a test 17th it was positive and have taken daily since. Other than sore boobs and sleepiness loads of cramps I've no sickness. I'm only just 4 weeks. I'm paranoid every time I go the toilet that I will see blood. I didn't even get excited when I seen the two lines just numb. I don't even want to get attached because it will probably happen again. How did you get through it ? I'm going crazy already.

So sorry to hear you have went through something so similar. The female body is definitely something of a weird sort. The waiting game is the hardest part I think, once I found out I was pregnant after our first MC I was over the moon. However, next time it happens, (if it happens) I will be super cautious.

Hey, I just wanted to say I had my youngest child after 2 consecutive miscarriages in the late 1st trimester.

I was terrified but everything was ok. Please try your best to treat this completely separately. It is a different baby and it is far more likely to be healthy than not.

Sending lots of warm wishes xx

BabyPending · 29/06/2019 09:13

@Whatwillhappentomorrow thank you for your story, this really does give me hope for the next!

Good luck ladies! Xx

Hi Jenn, how are you?, We had our appointment at the clinic with Dr Watkins, nothing picked up from the blood tests I had and couldn't pick up anything from the cytogenetic testing, said it was more my tissue than the babies. She has prescribed cytologest pessaries and high dose folic acid. I just don't know how to feel right now, it's like if something had of being picked up and could be treated I would have felt more positive but there is still this uncertainty and wondering. Dr Watkins gave me the number to ring if I become pregnant and Ann Maria did say they'd book me into clinic. Xx

Hi Unicorn9,
I’m so sorry for everything all of you strong women are experiencing, I am someone else who is with you also.
I have just had my second (consecutive) miscarriage (this one was mmc) and am staying hopeful and positive for 3rd time lucky also.
I am 29 years old, and was put on thyroid meds at about 5/6 weeks of this last pregnancy. Having got lost in the google hole of unsuccessfully trying to find answers... I was wondering if with your DD you we were on the meds during pregnancy? Sending lots of love and prayers to you all

BabyPending · 13/07/2019 15:28

@Unicorn9 Have you heard any more about your referral appointment? I hope things have moved forward for you! X

Unicorn9 · 13/07/2019 18:30

Hi BabyPending
I have been referred for a hysteroscopy but not sure about doing it. Had some private tests done as was tired of waiting but they found nothing. Said everything was fine with us which is good news but it’s just an age thing so to keep trying.... told us I was ovulating on the day we went but I’m sure I’m not pregnant again this month and so desperate that I’m finding it really hard. How’s u?!?

Unicorn9 · 13/07/2019 18:35

Creative 7, I wasn’t on meds for DD but after speaking to the consultant she assured me that my thyroid meds didn’t cause a miscarriage, that was more likely the case if u had really high tsh levels but mine were only borderline... hope that helps.

BabyPending · 14/07/2019 09:40

@Unicorn9 I am pleased your results came back clear! That must be some reassurance. How did you go about getting these tests done if you don't mind me asking?

About the hysteroscopy, glad you got a referral for this but ofc only go through what you are comfortable with. The clear tests are quite reassuring :)

I'm okay thank you, looks like my first cycle was anovulatory (had a lot of pain when my body was trying to ovulate) and my first AF arrived 3 days earlier than normal and it's very light so not sure what to think but trying not to overthink things. Going to TTC from this cycle onwards! Xx

ChesMum2019 · 17/07/2019 00:23

Hi Laura glad to hear you are ok and all your results are back clear. Sorry it took me a while to get in touch we have been away for 2 weeks in la I am absolutely shattered. It's good but I know how frustrating it is when results come back clear as I was also in the same boat. As soon as you become preg they take such good care of you through the miscarriage clinic. I keep everything crossed your little rainbow will be on it's way soon x x

Hi Jenn, hope you had a lovely time away. Feel bit better knowing that there will be more support this time if I do become pregnant. Thanks Jenn so do I. Hope you're keeping well. Xx

ChesMum2019 · 05/08/2019 22:13

It'll happen hun. Keep the faith and your rainbow will soon be here. I know it does not feel like it. I am good thanks. Weeks flying by. Just down in Cotswolds for a week. Much needed relax. The hospital will take great care of you. I'm still under them now and go every two weeks for scans still. They have been amazing. Keep me updated and take care x x

Helensss · 12/08/2019 14:02

Hi everyone I hope you don’t mind me joining! I’m 31 and have just gone through 2nd mc, both were at 5 weeks. I think I had a chemical in January so they have referred me. Feeling so lonely and scared I’ll never get there. Nice to hear some success stories xx

BabyPending · 15/08/2019 13:52

Hi everyone, I am pregnant (4w5) after 2 consecutive MC. I'm not experiencing spotting and absolutely terrified!! Would appreciate people's stories around this :( xx

Helensss · 15/08/2019 15:15

Hi @BabyPending

Did you mean you are experiencing spotting or not sorry? Spotting can be very normal in early pregnancy! I can totally understand your fear though xxx

BabyPending · 15/08/2019 15:49

@Helensss thank you for responding and correcting me! I'm all over the place haha! Yeah I have, I've been having watery light brown CM with the occasional small string of CM (sorry TMI). Nothing red yet (fingers crossed) but still scary all the same! Especially as my last 2 MC had spotting associated :(

Helensss · 15/08/2019 16:11

@BabyPending if it stays brown then there’s every chance you’ll be absolutely fine, gosh you poor thing with all this worry!! You are super early though so might be late implantation or something? I keep my fingers crossed for you! Xx

BabyPending · 15/08/2019 16:13

@Helensss thanks so much lovely. I am sorry you have been through all this too, life can be really cruel :( I hope you have your rainbow soon, sending you baby dust xx

Helensss · 16/08/2019 09:11

@BabyPending how are things today? Xx

BabyPending · 16/08/2019 09:47

Hi @Helensss thank you for checking in. The spotting got a little better yesterday but started up again today, still only light brown though. Going to ring the docs later for my hcg blood test results but I'm also concerned about my line progression, not much has changed the past few days and still not as dark as the control line at 19DPO, so it's all adding up to be pretty bad news and I'm preparing for the worst :( xx

ChesMum2019 · 18/09/2019 18:04

@Lauraliverpool how are you doing ? Just thought I'd pop on and let you know baby Jude arrived 9weeks early in August. He's doing great and we came home finally on Sunday x
