Thanks Longest, my hormones probably don't help matters haha.

Wow Purple I missed your post but that is so exciting!!!! I shall look forward to hearing about your new arrival very soon Smile

Catlover2014 · 11/05/2015 15:17

Thanks for posting the link Baking. As someone who has suffered both I'm always interested in the link between infertility and miscarriage and am sure there is much more for science to learn about it. How is little Faith? x

Hi all
Surprisingly just had my coventry results back (wasn't expecting them til next week) and I have elevated unk levels of 9.16% (normal limit is 5%). Feel a bit strange, don't think its sunk in yet. After my blood clotting disorder was discovered recently, I was thinking that would be it and these would be normal...Confused. baking I know yours were high too, did you get steroids from BFP?
I have my phone consultation tomorrow at 8pm with Prof Quenby...need to get my questions sorted!

girlie sorry you've had spotting. Really hoping it's nothing to worry about and your scan is positive on wed. But I understand the need to plan for the worst. It's terrible the things I'm reading about testing of the foetus. Disgusting this post code lottery! Angry

Thinking of you today Pop FlowersBrewCake xxx

Good luck for tomorrow purple, looking forward to reading the big announcement. Smile

brummie think you've most likely nailed it on your timing of dtd! Wink

bakingtins · 11/05/2015 15:56

cheesy my NK cells were 16% and I was prescribed 20 mg pred from BFP until 10 weeks, then weaning off between 10-12 weeks. I'd expect some side effects for you - increased appetite and thirst, insomnia, irritability, slight 'moon face' (only noticeable to me, not dramatic) - which go away when you stop. For baby, there is a small increase in risk of cleft lip and palate, which they check for at 12 and 20 weeks, and a link with IUGR and low birthweight, though unclear if this is due to the steroids or the underlying condition affecting placental function. Faith did end up low birthweight of 5lb3oz, but she was small all the way through and growth scans showed she was growing along the low centiles. My other children have been 6lbers, had she stayed put another 3 weeks she'd have been 'normal for me'. I'd do it again without hesitation.

Marchgirl · 11/05/2015 15:59

Good luck for tomorrow purple, so exciting!

My Coventry results are also back and also abnormal at 7.9. Feeling totally shocked. I know that's the whole reason i was tested, because they might be raised, but after all the normal results recently i just thought mine would be too. I think this means I'll have to leave the response trial and take pred, but will need to discuss at my consult tomorrow.

Jady77 · 11/05/2015 16:02

So I've arrived at Coventry, just waiting for appointment 4.30pm. My results have come through too uNK above normal at 7.82%. Just spoke to Kerri and sounds like they'll give me the steroids today, bit worried it's too late after bfp though. My appointment must be the one before you Cheesy at 7.45pm.

Cross post March. How strange 3 of us above normal. Hope it means an answer for us and more hope for a successful pregnancy. Feeling emotional.

I went the week before Cheesy and March so 5.5 weeks for me, 4 for them I believe. No blood test, just the biopsy.

bakingtins · 11/05/2015 16:14

They take 4-5 weeks sasha and it's uNK cells. Whether that correlates to blood levels is controversial. The Coventry team don't think blood levels reflect what is going on in the uterine lining. AFAIK nobody does both tests would seem to be an obvious research project for someone

longestlurkerever · 11/05/2015 16:15

Gosh big news on the thread. Hope you get all the answers you need from your phone consultations and this is the answer for you all. Good luck xx

bakingtins · 11/05/2015 16:16

bythesea82 · 11/05/2015 16:38

I hope that works! Technology appears to be my enemy today!

cheesy, jady and march glad that you all have results. I hope that once it sinks in it means a positive treatment plan and approach for the next time. Well jady for this current time! How far are you? Hopefully they can reassure you that it will be soon enough. Flowers

Frecklefire · 11/05/2015 21:37

Pop** - really sending you loads of live and comfort for friday. Youve been through so much, i hope this meeting gives you peace of mind xxx

Minnie** VERY EXCITED ABOUT TOMORROW! Please can we have a running commentry of the day??!!

Wecome red** sorry you have this hateful, shitty situation, but glad you found us. I think you shoukd ask for trsts to be updated, your body will have changed a lot since then as well as medical practices and theories will have moved on too. Coventey is def an option. My consulted recently theorised that losses up to 6 weeks are usually implantation issues, 6 - 8/9 weeks are hormonal and 9- 13 are clotting issues. That holds some weight when you had dd when taking baby asprin, hey? There are, of course, lots of us on this site who are 40 so we know the monstrosity of that tick tick ticking!

Bubblybubbles80 · 12/05/2015 09:55

only 24 hours left for my scan i had nightmares yesterday thinking i missed it.

there is a small part of me that is hopeful that tomorrow will be ok and the baby has grown loads and everything will be fine. deep down I'm trying to prepare myself for the worst.

Marchgirl · 12/05/2015 10:01
