Hrt patches and ads?

My go thinks I am in menopause/peri menopause.
I am 42 and am having lots of troubling symptoms, and my periods are now slightly irregular and only last 2/3 days (instead of 7)
I am getting horrendous hot flushes.
Headaches, nausea, need to wee all the time, almost psychotic rage the week before my period, hugely sore boobs, palpitations....it's really really affecting the quality of my life.
I have had a blood test and an ecg andI am hoping to see her again on weds.
Has anyone used patches and ads together?
That's her suggestion.
I am all for anything that could make me feel better tbh :(

Hello. Thank you. It's hard to see straight when things have become out of your control & the pain is so engulfing Been to see gynaecologist. Having MRI to rule out nerve problem. He has given me vagifem to try. If this does not solve anything then he will refer me to a place that specialises in pelvic pain but I don't know if they look at the cause or try to eliminate the pain.

Hello. I wanted to ask since this began I haven't been able to feel my bladder is full. I only feel the sensation of pain low on the left hand side. Could this be nerve or problem from low oestrogen. It's strange because after hours I tjbkn I should go (i suppose I don't rush because I burn after) I so full that I should feel it

I'm sorry that you are suffering so much Flowers but I also don't think anyone has any answers. If you have no bladder pain it is unlikely to be IC because that is usually pain, frequency and urgency or at least 2 of those- look at the COB website.

There is a condition called 'urethral syndrome' ( google) which is an umbrella term for the kind of problem you have ( the pain) and which may or may not be a sub-condition of IC- no one really knows.

If you read the IC forum on the COB site you may find that it often takes a very long time to get either a diagnosis or treatment. The US is ahead of the UK with research and many women in the UK read up on it then ask their drs to try something. There is a hospital / specialist in Birmingham who does a lot of work with IC- you can always try that if your insurance would cover another opinion.

If you can't feel that your bladder is full then that seems to say that there is something not right with the nerves, and there are various conditions where this can happen. You should tell the dr about this and see what they suggest re. further tests.

Hello. Thank you. I mentioned it when I was in hospital & to the gynaecologist today. Didn't seem to register. I will try the vagifem & have the MRI & go from there. It's like no one is listening. I know it's not right.

pinkfrocks · 22/07/2015 20:19

This is where you might get help if covered by your insurance

Thank you. I can't remember if that was what happened when I had pelvic congestion years ago. I will try the vagifem to see but I know things aren't right. I have told all the doctors I have seen. If only really noticed it since I've been drinking water non stop. Thank you for replying. I should probably not post anymore as it's not really then menopause

Hi everyone

Have stopped the hrt today...am bleeding heavily (again) and have been really dizzy for the past week.
I am going back to Dr in a couple of weeks and will see what she suggests
