Hi I am 33 years young and live in Copthorne near Crawley, West Sussex and looking to chat to other mums/mums to be in the Surrey/Sussex area and maybe arrange a meet up sometime. I used to be on the Redhill or nearish thread but that seemed to die a sudden death so thought I would start a new one.

I have a daughter of 17 months and am expecting another girl in October.

Hi everyone

Would be good to meet some of you, could try for the flying fortress if anyone is going there again soon. We went on Thursday morning recently and it was a toddler morning which meant it was quieter. Got a free cup of tea with the entry ticket and they were doing two meals for the price of one ! The Weald and Downland place I agree is really great on a nice day. :)

Thanks for the invite Littlepickle but a bit far for us!

Hello Mummies. Just moved to Crawley with DH and DD (12 months). Do you have any meet-ups planned in the Crawley area that I can join in with - don't know a soul around here and now we're unpacked I'm looking for people to talk to!!

fatbetty · 28/03/2006 10:40

Hi Brambles! Hi Hoges! Congratulations on your move. I'm in Reigate which is kind of down the road from you. If you even want to meet up sometime and go to the park or something just let me know.

brambles · 28/03/2006 15:46

Hoges · 28/03/2006 17:19

Hi fatbetty and brambles. We've been here about 2 weeks and are in Maidenbower - so very close to you brambles. Would love to meet up for a coffee some time.

brambles · 28/03/2006 19:17

sounds good to me Hoges, hope you dont mind me asking what made you move to crawley?

Hoges · 28/03/2006 21:35

Bambles - to answer your question, I'm British, but have been in Australia for the last 9 years. My Australian husband wanted to come over here for a few years and work in London. Crawley just happens to be convenient for him to commute to London and also for me to get to my family who are down in Eastbourne. It's as simple as that!

gosh, how does it feel to be back here after being gone for 9 years? I'm American and my DH is English and we talk about moving back to the States but don't know if I could really move back. Nice to visit but this seems like home now.
