Bluewater older mums?

New to mn, not exactly new to motherhood - ds1 is 13, ds2 is 11 and dd is 9m.
Are there any older mums living in Bluewater area who also thought that if 40something Madonna can do it , so can I, only to discover that you forgot to put in place the army of domestic staff first?
If there are, and you can tear yourself away from that attractive pile of ironing, could we meet for coffee and valium?

I was planning on coming but dh passed his cold to ds and me - hope you have a great time and we'll try for the next meetup!!

angelp · 09/07/2005 07:28

Hope you had a great time. Was so sorry to miss it but felt I should be home for DP. Was also told A21 was gridlocked so probably wouldn't have been a good journey anyway. Did you have a good time? Thought of you all.....

Noidea · 11/07/2005 10:39

Hi all,
Nice to meet everyone at long last!
Angelp, I'd definitely have done the same thing in your situation, but it was a shame not to meet you after so many attempts!
Hope you and the family are feeling better, Jen.
I'm happy for a meet up pretty much any time you're available, if anyone else wants to suggest a date. Away first 2 weeks in August though.
Look forward to meeting you both, and anyone else who wants to join us, some time soon.

For those of us who met up on Friday - if anyone would like to meet up at A Whale of a Time that would be great. Let me know.

I'm free for another meet whenever! The groups I go to finish this week for the summer hols so diary is pretty free! Whale of a Time would be good so kids aren't confined to buggies.

Micku5 · 11/07/2005 16:51

Hi, it was nice to meet some new people.

I'm up for the meet at Whale of a Time and I am sure dd would be too. Am away for the first two weeks in August though.

jenweber630 · 11/07/2005 18:29

Looks like lots of people are on holiday in August - should we shoot for last week of July maybe??

angelp · 12/07/2005 06:45

Wheres Whale Of Time? Last week July great for me - just not thursday please

lozinkent · 12/07/2005 08:13

It is in Greenhithe - a couple of mins from Bluewater.
Last week of July good for me too!

Noidea · 12/07/2005 13:23

Can only do Monday or Wednesday of last week in July. Any good for anyone else??

OP posts:
lozinkent · 13/07/2005 12:56

Actually can we say Monday as something has come up for me on the Weds?

Micku5 · 14/07/2005 17:06

Monday is good for me as well.

jenweber630 · 14/07/2005 18:05

Yep - last week of July on Monday is good...

lozinkent · 18/07/2005 06:46

Just bumping this up a bit!

What time suits everyone? 1.30pm like last time?

Micku5 · 18/07/2005 08:11

Sounds good to me.

Noidea · 18/07/2005 10:54

Hi meggymoo

I've met Micku5 and Noidea once before. I am planning on going on 25th. I'm Laura, live in Bexley and have a 14 month old ds.
Where abouts are you from? WOuld eb good to see you there!

jenweber630 · 18/07/2005 13:23

So - if I've got this right - the next meeting is at 1:30 at Whale of a Time... Hope you can make it lozinkent and meggymoo - I think some people have met each other... I've met kbear and beachy but no one else on this thread as I missed the last meet due to illness...

I can't believe our bad luck with summer colds this year! Ds and I had just gotten over a cold and got another one late last week that is even worse. I'm better but now ds is hacking and coughing. sigh Anyway, I'm sure we'll be better by next Monday and I look forward to meeting you all then!

Noidea · 18/07/2005 19:59

Hi Jen, that's about right. Will you be able to find Whale of a Time or do you need directions.

Can you still make it, angelp?

Bad news - found a leaflet on Whale of a Time and they're shut Mondays except during school holidays. Tried to ring to see if that includes next Monday but can't get an answer so guess we'd better assume they're shut.
What do you all want to do - different day or different place??????

OP posts:
lozinkent · 19/07/2005 12:42

Oh no!!! I can do Tuesday, Thurs or Friday of that week too.

Noidea · 19/07/2005 13:31

I can't do any of those .
If the rest of you meet up, I'll join you next time. Have fun!

OP posts:
lozinkent · 19/07/2005 14:15

How about the following week? I can't do Mon or Weds.

Noidea · 19/07/2005 15:03

Thanks, Laura, but I'm on holiday for 2 weeks from the 30th. Another meet up later in August maybe?
