Bluewater older mums?

Noidea · 12/04/2005 20:29

New to mn, not exactly new to motherhood - ds1 is 13, ds2 is 11 and dd is 9m.
Are there any older mums living in Bluewater area who also thought that if 40something Madonna can do it , so can I, only to discover that you forgot to put in place the army of domestic staff first?
If there are, and you can tear yourself away from that attractive pile of ironing, could we meet for coffee and valium?

Hi Noidea,

I'm 35 in August, 1st time mum to dd 10months and live in Greenhithe (2mins from Bluewater). If you're interested would love to meet up for a spot of lunch (and valium)!!

Hi momo30uk,

Lunch would be great. Next Friday any good? Otherwise Tues, Wed or Friday of following week?
Nothing too flash, dd's table manners don't extend to serviettes and multiple cutlery settings!

fatbirdtoo · 25/04/2005 16:58

Hi all, have been watching thread but can't do any of dates mentioned so far! but hope to meet on a future one if ok with you. [Almost] 38, have ds almost 13, baby due in August, live about 45mins from bluewater!Hello Beachyhead, have seen you post on 'due august' thread!

Noidea · 25/04/2005 21:43

Hi fatbirdtoo, congratulations and it's good to know I'm not the only one around with a 13 year gap between my kids! I'm thoroughly enjoying being an older mum - I've got so much more patience than first time round and both my boys adore my dd and vice versa. Hope we can meet up soon!

KBear · 25/04/2005 21:48

Blimey, I'm 37 and didn't think of myself as an older mum but now I realise I am!! I have a DD of 6 and a DS of 3 and would love to meet at Bluewater for a coffee sometime. I work part-time so I'll keep an eye on this thread in case I am able to join you, if you don't mind!

Kbear

Noidea · 26/04/2005 12:49

Hi KBear, not sure you can officially be classed as an older mum - I'm 42 with a baby: now that's old!!!! If you and fatbirdtoo want to say which days you're free I'm always up for a bit of socialising and, hopefully, the others will be too.

KBear · 26/04/2005 20:35

Mondays and Tuesdays only for me - if I've got the car. Complicated arrangements in the Kbear household - DH works shifts, I work part-time. If you arrange a day that I can join you I will!

angelp · 27/04/2005 12:08

Excellent - there are more and more of us each time I look at this thread! Have emailed you Noidea - unfortunately DD has come up with chickenpox today so I can't make Friday. I'm quite pleased she has got the pox to get it over with, but was really looking forward to the meet up. Mext time please......

Noidea · 27/04/2005 12:48

Sorry you can't make it, angelp. Let us know when you're available again and we'll organise something.
lunarx - didn't receive an email from you. Can you still make it??
