Bluewater older mums?

Noidea · 12/04/2005 20:29

New to mn, not exactly new to motherhood - ds1 is 13, ds2 is 11 and dd is 9m.
Are there any older mums living in Bluewater area who also thought that if 40something Madonna can do it , so can I, only to discover that you forgot to put in place the army of domestic staff first?
If there are, and you can tear yourself away from that attractive pile of ironing, could we meet for coffee and valium?

would have been nice is someone other than just me turned up!!lol.

Noidea · 07/06/2005 11:37

Melminx, soooooooo sorry!!! No one seemed to be able to make it so I didn't go either.
How old are your kids? I'm meeting some friends from my post natal group at Cheeky Monkeys on Friday morning. All the babies are between 9 months and 1 year. If you have a baby or toddler would you like to come then if you're free?
If not we could try for another meet at Bluewater? Anyone??????????

depending on the next meet-up date/time, i might be able to come along!!

DaisyB · 07/06/2005 16:28

I live in Gravesend with 10 month old and would love to join next meet!
Noidea - what's Cheeky Monkey?

Hi DaisyB, Cheeky Monkeys is one of those places with climbing areas and ball ponds and a small soft play area for the little ones. It's in Ash, near New Ash Green. You'd be very welcome to join us on Friday too - there are definitely 3 of us going, possibly up to 7. Are there any places like that in Gravesend - the only other ones I know are in Strood?
As far as Bluewater goes, I'm busy next week but pretty free so far the following week. Does anyone want to suggest dates good for them and we'll try again!!

Hi all - Kbear told me about your thread and I would love to join in at the next meet up - the only time that really doesn't work is Thursday at mid-day. I've not been to Bluewater yet but drove by it once and can't wait to go!

Noidea · 20/06/2005 13:02

Hi again,
Had pretty much given up on arranging a meet up, but it seems such a shame as so many people have expressed an interest in a Bluewater meet.
One last try, giving everyone enough notice hopefully - how about Friday 8th July? Any good for anyone???

OP posts:
KBear · 20/06/2005 17:04

I work on Fridays, so no for me I'm afraid!

jenweber630 · 21/06/2005 11:52

That's fine with me.

Noidea · 28/06/2005 15:13

Hi Jen,
Looks like it's just you and me! I'd thought about joining your Greenwich meet up instead but have got something on now. Do you still want to go for it or try for another date?

OP posts:
angelp · 28/06/2005 20:17

I will be there! I promise. Lets go for it.

momo30uk · 29/06/2005 08:57

Hi Noidea,
Was due to meet you first time around but we decided to wait until more people could make it. I can do Friday 8th but can't do morning. What time are you meeting?

Noidea · 29/06/2005 12:07

Hi Momo, nice to hear from you again! Doesn't matter to me what time we meet. Anyone else got a preference?

OP posts:
happycat · 29/06/2005 12:26

how old is an older mum then?

lozinkent · 29/06/2005 16:33

I can make that day too - only 27 tho! My ds is 13 months.

Noidea · 30/06/2005 09:09

We're all sorts of ages now - everyone welcome!
Lozinkent - be great to meet you as my dd is close in age to your ds, she's 1 next week.
Momo30uk, what sort of time is good for you?

OP posts:
momo30uk · 30/06/2005 09:36

Noidea, is 1.30 ok?

Noidea · 30/06/2005 10:01

1.30 is fine for me. Everyone else?

OP posts:
happycat · 30/06/2005 12:22

I may be able to come if that is o.k with you.what day and time?

Noidea · 30/06/2005 13:16

Of course you're welcome Happycat! It's next Friday, 8th July probably 1.30 if that time is ok for everyone.

OP posts:
lozinkent · 30/06/2005 13:42

That is fine by me although ds will be snoring in his buggy by 1.30! Where are we meeting? Looking forward to meeting you all!

juicychops · 30/06/2005 20:02

Hiya all. Im gunna come next friday too if thats ok? Bluewater at 1.30pm. Where abouts are we meeting?

Noidea · 30/06/2005 20:21

Well, the original plan was outside John Lewis by the coffee place so shall we stick to that?

Bit worried now - 3 months ago, when I first posted, dd would sit quietly in her pushchair and watch the world go by. Now that she's learned to walk, sitting still isn't in the scheme of things! When we meet I'll be the one with the noisiest child in Bluewater!

Micku5 · 01/07/2005 00:15

Hi, Am new to the site and noticed there was a meet up at Bluewater. I live quite close by and was wondering if I would join the meet up. Would love to have a chance to meet other mums in the area and take a break from cbeebies and the Disney channel.

Noidea · 01/07/2005 10:58

Hi Micku5, the more the merrier!
If you've managed to read through this entire thread you'll have seen that I've got 2 big sons, now 12 & 14, and a dd who's 1 next week! How old are your children?
