PhoenixFirefly · 26/03/2009 20:30

lol i want a name that gets ewwws but i think if it was an obvious eww it might put people off talking to me

dragonbutter · 26/03/2009 20:31

My nappies list.
I need 4 more
Littlelamb, what size for your friends?

Littlelamb 21 lb
Phoenixfirefly 4 or 4+
Dorisisapinkdragon 5+
Diedandgonetodevon 3
19Fran76 4
Dragonbutter 4

PhoenixFirefly · 26/03/2009 20:32

i expect you to be the complete opposite of the type of person you would expect to have that kind of name dragonbutter (does that even make sense?)

dragonbutter · 26/03/2009 20:33

you're probably right.

19fran76 · 26/03/2009 20:38

That would be good because I don't want you to put me off my cake

littlelamb · 26/03/2009 20:40

Dragonbutter, 1 friend has a ds the same size as my ds so whatever size a 21 lber would wear. My other friend is probably in a size 5 I would say, but I will ask them both tomorrow

dragonbutter · 26/03/2009 20:40

i'll brush my teeth.

belcantwait · 27/03/2009 10:30

ladies, i am really nervous. i dont know any of you and more than likely will come on my own- shall i bring dd maybe?- i have met fennel v briefly once and i know greenie as well but shes no longer a MNEr so be gentle with me.

oh and if i say something really really inappropriate or swear or something just ignore it its just nerves lol

diedandgonetodevon · 27/03/2009 10:54

Don't worry bel, I feel exactly the same!
Can't imagine i will turn up and find I actually know any of you in RL so it will be like the 1st day at a new school [eek]

Am getting excited about it tho.

OP posts:
belcantwait · 27/03/2009 12:44

oh yeah me too definitely. so have we decided yet whether we are going to introduce ourselves as mn name or rl name yet or both??

i second what someone said about everyone being unlike what you expect. the mners i have met have been NOTHING like how i imagined them to be!

19fran76 · 27/03/2009 15:56

Dear Bel, Double don't worry, I don't know anyone either. So I'm definitely using my DD as a social prop ( it used to be ciggies!?) Actually, I'm hoping you'll all be somewhat like your online selves i.e. friendly & humourous 'cos then it will be fun meeting you all.

littlelamb · 27/03/2009 15:59

I think it would be wierd not to be a little nervous though. I don't know the lot of you from Adam, and you could all turn out to be hairy truckers called Dave wierdos

diedandgonetodevon · 27/03/2009 18:15

[now devilishly tempted to dress as a hairy trucker and introduce self as 'Dave' ]

Dragon can I hijack you a second please? You know you said you knew an architect? Does s/he do good rates? We need drawings of our loft in order for builders to give a quote for stairs and floor to be put in...our architect friend is not coming over for a while now and we need to get going on it.

We were initially thinking of not bothering, cobbling together something ourselves as we don't need an architect to do it, but I can't draw.

We only need some basic drawings to visually show what it is we want, rather than to go away and design something for us. We only want a simple design, and perhaps some professional input if what we want will be impossible.

pavlovthepregnantcat · 27/03/2009 18:18

Oh and can architects do load bearing and stuff?

PhoenixFirefly · 27/03/2009 19:50

im actually getting quite nervous now. belcantwait we can say inappropriate stuff and swear at each other then, because i do exactly the same when nervous so i wont mind

littlelamb · 27/03/2009 22:39

Oh balls, Sunday is when the clocks go forward. That'll make for some interesting nap times So who is bringing their dc, and what age are they? I obviously didn't explain this very well to dd as she now thinks every child in the city is coming to meet her
I'm bringing dd, 4.5
and ds, 9 months

PhoenixFirefly · 27/03/2009 23:37

i'm bringing ds 2.4

pavlovthepregnantcat · 28/03/2009 08:57

bringing DD aged 2.8. I say inappropriate things when I am not nervous. Oh dear

diedandgonetodevon · 28/03/2009 11:09

I'm bringing DS 6mo.

Pavlov, I'm like you. Say inappropriate things whether I'm nervous or not and I'm a bit crap with names too.
Can guarantee I will remember all the childrens names but sometimes I get a mental block with adults . I will be trying very hard to remember tho!
