Hi all.

£20

MNetters booked for:

For Katzguk:

Your 45 minute bump massage has been book for 3pm. The rest of the time you are able to enjoy the facilities of the relaxattion room. Your treatment was £40. Cheque

I have secured all treatments/Spa on my credit card for now. But they would like us to pay before hand if possible. Cheque is fine.

  • You can make a cheque payable to Spa 1877
  • Please e-mail me on claireandrich(at)beeb(dot)net for my postal address.
  • If you can try and get them to me asap, I will take them over
  • I will also need your full name at that time for the Spa - can't really book in MN names!!!

On arrival at the Spa, if not been before, you will need to fill out a short medical/health form. Just tick no to everything - Joking!!!

Hey Hula! Kids loved the party, and DS was pleased he could fit through the equipment!! Loved the letter from your DD too!!!!!

Not on much as am bit busy and stressed in the evenings and still feeling a bit fragile after DS's dx. I do lurk a lot to keep an eye on everyone though!!!

Looking forward to the 23rd!!

Hulababy · 10/04/2005 20:33

Nice to hear from you; fully understand why you don't get online so much

OP posts:
roisin · 10/04/2005 22:24

I want to talk food - does no-one else?!

I particularly like the sound of the new curry house, but that is the sort of thing that is strongly disliked by some. So I'm happy to be outvoted.

What does everyone else like?

Aw sorry, I did know that

Hulababy · 11/04/2005 08:46

Yorkiegirl; we will have a spare seat at the place we eat and put your picture there - so you can be there in spirit ;)

Thanks for telling me about this on the other thread! Sorry, I can't make it as I'm spending all my weekends looking after my mum and aunt over in Rochdale/Halifax for the time being. Hope to meet you all again sometime soon.

clary · 13/04/2005 11:03

hiya all, really looking forward to this. Re food: I don?t mind as eat pretty much anything. Like curry, Italian all the things Hula mentioned. I?ll happily go with the flow.
Hula I?m coming by car up from Derby, can we park nearby (don?t mind paying of course).
Know how to get to Sheffield but don?t know city at all!!!
MIL coming to babysit smalls, she?s gettgn a bit nervous but ds1 has a party which s/one else is picking him up and dropping off for so that?s no hassle!
looking forward to meeting everyone

Hulababy · 13/04/2005 20:29

Sorry you can't make it Dotte;; hope we can sort something out soon

Clary - I promise to do the directions this weekend - keep reminding me!!!

There is parking right next to where the Spa is. It is pay one, but on a Saturday it is only about £1.50 all day! It is rough ground tye pne though. The pay and display at the opposite to my apartment (3 minutes walk) is more open, better surface and more lit - but dearer.

Huka, if I come on the train, what is the best way to get to the Spa from Midland Station? (or would it be better Meadowhall/Tram?)

gingerbear · 14/04/2005 22:29

sorry HULA not Huka!! (Thats what NZ rugby team dance isn't it?)

Hulababy · 16/04/2005 09:45

gingerbear (and anyone else coming by train from North)

I would get off the train at Mesadowhall and gram a tram from there. Get the yellow route one - will be the one going to Middlewood I think. You need to get off the tram at West Street - outside Tescos/Royal Plaza apartments.

If coming on train right into Sheffield:

Head to back of station to the tram stops (opposite side to the normal exit). You need to get the blue route tram, the one that goes to Malin Bridge. Again get off at West Street.

Then all of you:

Walk further down West Street now (follow where the tram is heading). Keep walking and eventually (not far) you will pass another big block of apartments (West One). Cross the road after these and you will pass the Weatherspoons pub (the Swim Inn) and also a chinese. Take your next left - this is Victoria Street, which is where the Spa is. Head down that road and the Spa is a little doorway - has signs, etc outside. The walk is no more than 5 minutes or so

Now for the road routes for those coming in cars!!! Eeek.

Where are you all coming from? Who needs directions?

OP posts:
MadameButterfly · 16/04/2005 13:31

Hi there,

We should be there on time now as my pal is finishing work at 12. She will pick me up and we will set off(hopefully) about 12.30.

I have got the directions from the RAC site.

Hulababy · 16/04/2005 18:29

OK MB; if you need any advice on when you hit Sheffield centre let me know - may be able to help you with the horrid one way systems, and parking.

OP posts:
jnbsmum · 16/04/2005 19:32

I'll be getting tram from meadowhall so if you like gingerbear i'll meet up with you. And anybody else who's going that way. Just let me know what time you'd like to meet

Hulababy · 16/04/2005 19:42

Oh nearly forget. I want to the Spa to have my hair cut today (had loads taken off too and now have shoulder length layered hair ). They are having a big photo shoot in the Spa on Monday - with lots of the Sheffield Wed and Utd stars, and some of the Calender team (ITV news) will be there too. Bound to be stuff on Calender news in the evening; maybe lunchtime too. Have a look out for it and see what you are going to!

OP posts:
Hulababy · 17/04/2005 17:05

Where do I need to do directions from, for those in cars???

OP posts:
roisin · 17/04/2005 17:41

Hula, I'm coming in with WM. I think we're coming on the train from Chesterfield, but she knows the way anyway (I hope!)

Hulababy · 17/04/2005 17:44

Yes, she will do roisin - she's been to my apartment and to the Spa so should be fine. I presume you'll gran a tram from the station maybe anyway - if a nice day the walk fromt he station is fine too if you know the way.

OP posts:
piffle · 18/04/2005 13:52

I'm hoping to get dropped off by dh and he will be off to see his parents that day, I may not be able to make meal though as we have to get back home to Lincs for babysitter...
what time are we meeting?

Hulababy · 18/04/2005 21:28

Spa session is booked for 2:30pm. There is very little waiting room though, so I would say no earlier than 2:15pm. If anyone is arriving particularly early for whatever reason, then you are more than welcome to call in at my apartment (opposite the Spa) to wait.

Infact, if anyone wants my mobile number - in case they get lost, arrive too early, running late, whatever - then please e-mail me for it

Did anyone catch site of Calender news then to see the Spa??? I missed it!
