Hi all.

As promised I have booked the Spa for us all this morning.

I booked the Spa Experience for:
Saturday 23rd April
2.30pm - for up to 3 hours
£20

MNetters booked for:
Secur
Hula
Roisin
Wedgiesmum
Gingerbear
Madamebutterfly
MB's friend
Chocfreeclary
purpleturtle
Yorkiegirl
Piffle

For Katzguk:

Your 45 minute bump massage has been book for 3pm. The rest of the time you are able to enjoy the facilities of the relaxattion room. Your treatment was £40. Cheque

I have secured all treatments/Spa on my credit card for now. But they would like us to pay before hand if possible. Cheque is fine.

  • You can make a cheque payable to Spa 1877
  • Please e-mail me on claireandrich(at)beeb(dot)net for my postal address.
  • If you can try and get them to me asap, I will take them over
  • I will also need your full name at that time for the Spa - can't really book in MN names!!!

On arrival at the Spa, if not been before, you will need to fill out a short medical/health form. Just tick no to everything - Joking!!!

Call for Piffle and secur...

Going to go and pay the other cheques into the Spa on Friday (by next day off).

OP posts:
roisin · 08/03/2005 13:18

Hula when you go to the Spa on Friday (thanks again ) can you ask whether there is still more space, then we will know whether we can encourage any late-comers to come and join in the fun? (Presumably they could contact the spa direct and book by credit card or something?)

Now do we start thinking about where to eat ...?

Is everyone (except YG ) staying for a meal afterwards?

katzguk · 08/03/2005 13:28

hula don't forget me!!! i'm not on your list

Hulababy · 08/03/2005 13:55

Ooops, sorry Katzguk. Haven't forgotten you, promise. Must have just copied the list of Spa only people. I have you booked in!

OP posts:
Hulababy · 08/03/2005 13:56

I will roisin, and yes they can just call the Spa and pay direct themselves then. Good idea.

I am up for the meal afterwards

OP posts:
roisin · 08/03/2005 14:11

So what are the eating options? What does everyone like?
I like Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian ... err, pretty much anything really

Hulababy · 08/03/2005 14:14

There is plenty nearby. Under my apartments (where I actually won't live by then all being well) there is a South American type place, an Italian and a Noodle Bar. There is also Revolution bar. Also round the area there are other smaller italians, indians, tapas, ... pretty much anything.

Who likes what? I can try and pick some menus up if you like.

OP posts:
piffle · 08/03/2005 16:14

Have amiled you Hula
Will it change anything if I turn up to be pregnant?
Can I still laze around the pool?

I eat anything esp adore thai though
Where can I stay? where is everyone else staying?Need to book that asap too I guess!
The in laws live next to Meadowhall so dh will stay there with the kiddies while I get a proper night off!!!

roisin · 08/03/2005 19:09

Piffle ?! Is that definite news? Or are you trying? I don't keep an eye on ttc threads so don't know who's up to what!

Re hotels on this thread Madame Butterfly said on 18 Feb at 10.30 am that she has "booked a room (for 2 people)at the Hotel Ibis. Anyone wanting to share is welcome."

I seem to recall Secur was thinking about staying overnight, and maybe Gingerbear too ... but my memory's going a bit hazy, so can't vouch for any of that!

HTH

I'm staying at Hotel Wedgiesmum

purpleturtle · 08/03/2005 19:14

I eat pretty much anything - though I don't think I've ever had Thai. I'm happy to eat wherever. (though if it were up to me, we'd all trot through the red light district for a balti at Butler's! )

Hulababy · 08/03/2005 19:46

piffle - if you fall pg, then you can't go in the Spa - but so long as we have some advance warning there is no problem and you get your money back. I will recheck that when I go on Friday though. I am in same boat. But there is a lovely relaxatioon room next to the Spa - where everyone can chat and have freebie drinks, and you could always have a facial or get your nails done instead - that is what Kaztgut did first time we went.

OP posts:
Hulababy · 08/03/2005 19:47

MB is bringing a friend along, so suspect they may already be sharing. Hotel Ibis is in city centre though, so very close.

Hulababy · 08/03/2005 19:50

Posted this in SWAPSHOP, but as most of you guys are local, thought I would add it here in case anyone wants it.

FREE day pass to Esporta, for 2

Anyone want it? I won't get chance to use it.

It is a day pass for 2 people (I am assuming one has to be female as for mums) to Esporta Heath and Fitness Club, on Archer Road, Sheffield, S8.

It has to be used by 23rd March.

You do have to call in advance to book your day, but that can be done over the phone.

Anyone fancy it? I can post it out to you asap.

piffle · 08/03/2005 22:49

Aha am I preg?
af is 7 days late but still neg testing, unsure as had ectopic in November so so confused and hate not knowing!!!!
Nails and facial sounds great, when would I need to know for definite?
Right off to locate hotels!!!

roisin · 09/03/2005 08:42

Oh Piffle! Hope you get some definite news soon

On the Spa Brochure downloadable here it says 24 hrs notice required for cancellations (and refunds), so I presume you've got loads of time. But obv would depend on availability for nails/facial.

Anyway I'm sure Hulababy knows exactly what the situation is, as she would like to be in the same position. So I'm sure she'll put me right if I'm spouting rubbish!

Thinking of you

katzguk · 09/03/2005 08:44

Piffle - just to let you know the manicure was very nice when i had one at 10 weeks PG!! then i just sat around in the relaxation room drinking the very yummy hot chocolate!

Hulababy · 09/03/2005 09:13

I will check all the details on Friday, when I pay in the cheques Piffle.

MadameButterfly · 09/03/2005 10:38

Hi there

I now have someone to share the room as my friend is coming too, but follw the link on the previous thread to the hotel Ibis the rooms are fairly reasonably priced and it would be nice to know someone else n the hotel too.

maddy17 · 09/03/2005 12:47

hello i left a msg b4 just wanted to say hi but no 1 wants to talk to me

roisin · 09/03/2005 14:42

Hi Maddy! Sorry, we weren't ignoring you.

Unfortunately I actually don't live anywhere near Sheffield (other side of the country actually). People are coming to this Spa thing from all over - Leeds, Derby, Lincs, Birmingham I think ... So there aren't many who are local to you. Are you going to come to the Spa to meet us all?!

If you keep an eye on the 'meet-ups' threads there are some regular meet-ups in the area ... like this one recently

HTH and Welcome to Mumsnet!

Roisin

Hulababy · 09/03/2005 17:51

Hi maddy - I replied on your other thread. Didn't see this one.
