Well, the theory is that if your baby is under 6 months, exclusively BF and you haven't had a period yet Bf is as effective as the mini-pill i.e 98%. In my case this was true. Had I had periods they wold have been when DS1 was 9 months and DS 2 a year. But you could easily be in that 2% and just because you haven't had a period it doesn't mean you can't get pregnant.
What sort of contraception were you thinking about? We used condoms and I still got pregnant and the pill can impact on milk supply so if you want a larger gap would you go for the coil?
Next LLL meeting is tueday by the way at Saint Luke's church centre.

Hi - sorry RL interfered with MN time. Have a baby totally full of cold, snot dribbling out the nose unable to breathe while feeding/ sleeping etc. Anyway. I'm not too keen on the idea of the coil. Does the mini-pill affect milk supply? I was always on the mini-pill (Cerazette) before baby anyway.
When and where is the next LLL meeting btw? Haven't been able to go anywhere, as I haven't wanted to spread the little man's cold to any other littlies. And then I caught it as well.

Sorry to har you've been full of colds. I'm afraid its one of the results of having children.
Next meeting on tuesday at 20 Ridley road.
mini-pill in theory doesn't affect milk supply but I think it can sometimes. Probably a case of trying it.
got to go as children wreaking havoc.

Hi all! My hubby and 2 kids are moving from Australia to Kent area and are thinking of Maidstone - we are both teachers (hubby a police officer here and teacher but just teaching over there) and I'm getting so confused as to move or not move to Maidstone areas. We are liking the idea of being 'closeish' to South London without actually living there, but also close enough to visit my relatives in Whitstable. We would mostly be needing somewhere that is close enough to trains as we will only have one car and need to have transport. Any spots that we should look at? We are open to main areas or villages and as we are not from the UK, the areas are very unfamiliar to us so any advice would be amazing. Thanks so much in advance! Lou
