Hi
My name is Jan and I have a 5 month old dd - just extended my maternity leave for another 3 months (hurray!) - anyone fancy meeting for a coffee in Stoke Newington one afternoon?

Just realised I have to go to work for a meeting on that Friday so won't be able to come out to play - maybe I'll get Rob(partner) to take Frida to meet you !

Janx

Tottenham Green Pool is just off Tottenham High Road, its is the 1st main left as after Tesco's on the High Road, after the college and in the same building as the Library. There is parking outside not sure of the cost as I walk.

I am looking for free things(maternity pay has dried up)on Monday/Tuesdays an ideas?

Cheers

Wendy

Hi
meetinhg has been changed - so stayed an extra day in devon. Back now after loooooooooong hot drive. Went to a nice baby music thing last friday - in a nursery called grasshoppers off clapton common....anyone want to go next friday - it's free

Chickyboo · 24/06/2005 22:41

ooo janx i like to go. Did I sell you a Bumbo?

I just started going to local baby things cos i go to uni and stay in kingston most of week.

I'm looking for baby music things..we went to our 1st one on Thurs 11am South library Essex rd also free it was really good.

whereabouts is the one clapton common

janx · 25/06/2005 12:59

hi chickyboo
yes you sold me the bumbo!! welcome to the thread
the music and storytelling is in Grasshoppers next to St Thomas's church on c common. If you go right to the top of Kyverdale road and turn right onto clapton common it is there _ I think it might be on the corner of oldhill road. The guy that runs it is very good - although it is aimed at older children, my dd was quite transfixed by his trombone!! He comes around 11am and there is storytelling before hand

sounds good

zammo · 29/06/2005 13:40

Hi janx
We'd be up for the music thing on Friday. What time are you aiming to get there? Hope you enjoyed Devon!

Arabica · 29/06/2005 18:54

Hi ladies.
Would anyone like to meet up at the paddling pool in Clissold Park one afternoon next week? We're free every afternoon next week except Thursday.

frogs · 29/06/2005 19:21

Might well be up for this, arabica -- the kids would love a trip to Clissold Park. I could do Wednesday, but it would be about 4pm before I could get there after the school run. That might be too late for some people?

janx · 30/06/2005 10:02

Hi Zammo
I aim to get there around 10.45 - do you know where it is? Devon was great - beautiful place.
arabica - love to go to paddling pool - free from Tues onwards 3.30pm ish

gossifer · 30/06/2005 10:57

janx/zammo - was just thinking i might go to a music thingy to see how we get on - where is it?

Charliepw · 30/06/2005 11:10

Hello everyone
I live in Stokie and my friend Kate (who lives in Highgate) told me there were lots of mums who live in Stokie on this board so here i am.
I want to meet up too.
My little girl (Daisy) is 14 monts old now.

Please can i join in and meet you.

Charlie :-)

Arabica · 30/06/2005 11:40

Hello Charlie. Yes, there are a few of us in Stokey! My DS is 4, but there are plenty of people with younger kids.
Clissold Park, how about Weds, 6 Julywe will probably go to storytime in the library (2pmabout 3pm) and then amble down to the paddling pool.
Once again APOLOGIES in advance for my utterly appalling memory for faces!!! I'll have to rely on people finding me and DS.

zammo · 30/06/2005 12:45

Hi janx - had a look on the a-z. Is St Thomas' church on the corner of Clapton common, Rookwood road and Castlewood Road? If so then Grasshoppers is next door?

Welcome to the Stokey thread Charliepw. Hope to meet you at something soon!

janx · 30/06/2005 19:31

No it is on the other side of the rd - does not seem to be marked on my a-z. Just found the address - it is St Thomas's hall, 37 Clapton Common. Do you want to meet me - how are you coming - by bus?

OP posts:
zammo · 01/07/2005 08:49

Yes I'll be coming by bus janx. Probably good to meet you somewhere, not sure where though. I'm going to check the a-z again.
Anyone else coming along? Gossifer - I hope your nan is OK.

frogs · 01/07/2005 09:05

Paddling pool on Wednesday 3.30pm-ish onwards sounds good to me.

janx · 01/07/2005 09:30

How about you get off the bus where you thought it was - I think I have your mobile number - have you got mine? shall we say around 10.40am -
gossifer - are you heading up this way to music??

OP posts:
zammo · 01/07/2005 09:38
