Friday now better for me than thurs. Dare we do an outside meet up? WHat's weather supposed to be like on Fri? Have to get a meet up in before MD junior arrives and Ambi goes back to work.

Nemo - have you been trying me on landline or moby? Don't think I've missed any calls. Car Boot was cool in the end, despite 3.45am start . We were there at 4.25 and in front row of queue. DH started saying that Nemo had been taking the p* but then we looked behind and the car park was already full! We would also have gone to the wrong multistorey if I hadn't have spoken to you so thanks for all the tips. Made £200 . Kept expecting to look up and see you and DCs loaded down with Car Booty! DH wants to do it again soon as we had loads of good stuff left so if you fancy a day out... He's caught the bug. OMG, I've created a monster.

JustJaamy · 21/07/2008 23:24

Just looked at forecast. Weather supposed to be good until Fri then rain. Let's make arrangements for Thurs at Calderstones or somewhere similar and if I can't make it then at least everyone else has met up. Play places are just too busy at this time of year.

Ambi · 21/07/2008 23:49

I've just multimapped calderstones, it's just off the M62 isn't it, not far from Speke Airport. It won't be a problem me getting there at all. I'm looking forward to my first MN meetup - god I sound like a right newbie!

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 22/07/2008 00:00

hi ladies
thursday or friday is good for me too il do a little search for calderstones park as its a bit of a hike for me but im sure a taxi will know how to get there friday is better than thursday as DD is usually in the childminders on thursday but hey ho il just ring in sick or something haha
looking forward to seeing you all oh and browny i will definitely formally introduce myself this time as the last few times i have met you i have not and then we get confused maybe a name tag?? either way i will stop being so blardy rude and say hello
hope you are all ok
xx ei xx

gigglewitch · 22/07/2008 00:05

oooh. will keep an eye here for what's going on. I've got a meeting first thing on Thurs, free lunchtime and free-ish on Fri, which is Officially My Day Off
is it park and picnics?

MyDingaling · 22/07/2008 09:21

Hello still here, no sign of baby wanting to make an appearance yet! Picnic at Calderstones sounds good and not too far from home just in case!
DD went for her first nursery visit yesterday, she loved it. So next step will be buying her uniform. She seems too small to be going!

browny · 22/07/2008 11:16

Hi all, I've just checked on Metcheck and Thursday is supposed to have the nicest weather this week . Queeny, I won't need a badge (just look for a hassled mum with a bump, with four kiddies following her! Please don't forget to say "hello" .

Ambi, look forward to meeting you there, we usually meet at the swings by the cafe .

So if we are going on Thursday, what time shall we say?

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 22/07/2008 16:43

hi ladies
right thursday it is then i am not at all familiar with calderstones park (i dont even know where it is) so i will need some directions i think not how to get there but where to go when i do arrive
ok so we know the place how about the time?? is afternoonish time good for everyone? it is better travel-wise for afternoon for me
xx ei xx

JustJaamy · 22/07/2008 19:06

In the past we've just camped out by the swings and people have come and gone as they wished. Should we say about 12.30-1-ish for picnickers and if the weather's good they'll probably be thowing us out by midnight!.

For anyone who doesn't know Calderstones - Ei and Ambi - it might be best to get a number from someone who does so they can talk you in when you get there. Otherwise, the (biggest) best car park is on Yew Tree Road. If you head into the park from here and turn left and continue left around the pond you should be able to see the playground from there. The cafe is in the big white building on the right. We will be camped out somewhere in between. Ambi - I would like to say I'll be the one in the floppy pink hat, except that I don't have a floppy pink hat and that I am also notoriously late...for everything! Who is usually on time and can wear something distinguishing so that Ambi can spot us??? Nemo????? [cheeky ]

Nemoandthefishes · 22/07/2008 19:12

my distinguishing sign is 3 children under 5 and me screaming like a banshee with a blue camoflauge phil and teds...yes I know what you are thinking and yes you are probably right that I am best avoided

Nemoandthefishes · 22/07/2008 19:13

oh and I have pics on profile ds is a ginger nut with a newly semi shaved noggin[dont ask]

MyDingaling · 22/07/2008 19:34

Ambi -You won't be able to miss me, I will be the one waddling! Very heavily pregnant (1 week to go) with a blonde DD.

JustJaamy · 22/07/2008 19:37

SHhhhh, Nemo, don't put Ambi off! Semi-shaved noggin?????? Do tell! You've not let DD1 loose with the kiddies scissors again, have you?

JustJaamy · 22/07/2008 19:38

ROFL at how MD and Nemo think Dcs will be anywhere near them in a park...

JustJaamy · 22/07/2008 19:39

...with swings...

JustJaamy · 22/07/2008 19:39

...and slides...

JustJaamy · 22/07/2008 19:39

...and bushes to get lost in and give us all heart attacks!

JustJaamy · 22/07/2008 19:41

Nemo - re photos on profile - will ya be wearing your wedding frock on Thurs, then????

Sorry am in very funny mood. Trying to put off another HPT!

Ambi · 22/07/2008 20:06

lunchtime-ish sounds good. I don't think it'll be hard to miss you lot! Thanks for the directions jaamy, should be fine. Ding you are brave venturing out so close to popping.

Nemoandthefishes · 22/07/2008 20:11

well my dd is at her rehearsal till 8pm!!!...im gonna find her curled up in a corner somewhere!! (she wont be dancing for 4 hours but its all the excitement for 4 hours is gonna knock poor DD out!)

browny · 23/07/2008 17:50

Hi biglips, yes, it has been really muggy today hasn't it, I've just walked back from the park and I feel like hopping under a cool shower! Bet you can't wait to see your little dd dancing . Pity you can't make it tomorrow, it would be lovely to see you both.

biglips · 23/07/2008 17:53
