Just keep thinking positive BL - that is all you can do, as whatever will be, will be! You will cope - no choice if that is the only option - us MNers will help where we can!

I think we should have a new thread, as this one is so out of date - whe is 'head of great thread titles' - not me - I am practical not creative!

dd was 9lb 1oz at birth - 12 days late. the reason why im hoping for a natural is that im not in agony on my own with the baby and DD. Dp will have to take a week unpaid holiday but he wont be helping me but looking after DD. mum will able to come down but not till the end of the month as she is working. i dont really know anyone/mums who would take DD to school as im not from round here. i do talk to them but just a natter type of thing. So im still hoping. (i had an emergency c-section last time so i dont fancy having that again).

Biglips - big babies - dont hurt if you have a c-section!!!! Wouldnt wish that on anyone honestly, although second time round it was easier than the first - not sure if it was becuase it was a different surgeon, or what, but I felt better after a couple of weeks - DD was 10 14 (on time) and DS was 8 8 (2 weeks early, so would have been 10 +). You will have what you have - I was always lead to believe that it was around 8oz per week, but again those scans are not too accurate - could be around 10% out - I would guess that you may have a 8 and a half pound baby - no probs! What was DD when she was born? I have about 3 or 4 tops for your DD and a pair of brown cords - they are all 5-6 or bigger, so should be ok!

MD - how are you getting on with your new baby? I hope your DD1 is getting used to the idea and hasnt asked for her to go back where she came from!!

Nemo - won anything lately??

Jaammy - how did you manage to avoid classes in the hols? DD swimming and gymnastics go through the hols, only her dancing has stopped,. so we are still up early sat and sun mornings - we even went to church this week (DS is getting christened on BH weekend)

Just been and ordered his cake today - my mum is paying for it, and the person who was doing it has let me down, so I have been to Davids Cakes in Crosby - he does all the posh cakes and is well-known in the well to do circles - so that will give mum something to brag about to her mates!! "Same place that Jamie Carragher (the footballer) got his 30th birthday cake from....bah blah!". They are lovely cakes, but you pay for the privilege! I did get his outfit off Ebay for a tenner, including shoes and DD got her dress in a sale in a posh designer type shop in Ormskirk!!! Me - I have Primark trousers and a matalan top - one extreme to the other!! Just need to sort out food now for the 15 adults and 5 kids!

Hope everyone else is ok and surviving the hols - a grown up evening out would be great!!

by both
I had scans at 38wks with both and at that time DD1 was said to be 9lb5 ish and dd2 was supposed to be 10lb already. Was told I would need a c section with both and with DD1 they also told me when I was in labour that the reason she was not engaging was due to her being so big when in fact was the opposite and she was engaging but so little she was sort of popping in and out.

BLS dont forget I was told both DDs would be over 10lb from scans at 38wks and both were 6lbs 14 even though A was 9lb1..can sometimes go the other way

Jaamy lovely to see you and dont forget to drop the girls 10am on fri!!!!!

Hope everyone else is ok..

by the way is anyone interested in buying a litaf seat to go before I chuck i on ebay. Cost about £40 in tescos but we only used it about 3 times before H refused and we went back to the double. Only want about £10 for it?

BLs - I think MD posted DD2's weight a bit further down...

Not long to go for you now. 'Twil all be worth it!

Hope everyone else is ok.

We're alright here [waves at Browny]. Just busy busy and with school off and all our little classes/swimming/ballet finished for summer I don't even know what day of the week it is. You'd think we'd have more time but by the time I get myself motivated in the morning, it's nearly lunchtime!

Lovely to see you and the clan yesterday, Nemo!

Hope all settling down in your house MD.

You know you're all welcome here for a meet up anytime. DH is away w/c 18th Aug for a week in NY so maybe we could do a grown up meet-up one evening that week. Takeaway and bottle of wine (for those who can!). Or a littles meet up during the day. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Hello to Andy, SA2, Ei, Gigglewitch and Ambi!!!

Biglips - not long to go now!!! If you have a boy I have a carrier bag of stuff for you here - 6-12 months stuff mainly, but will suit the seasons!

I also have a few tops for L if you are interested - giving them away as we were given loads of stuff for T, so feel the need to pass stuff on to someone else!

DD is enjoying her shcool hols - staying up late, trips out and lunches - great life!!

Hiya, came back from the Lake District yesterday, the weather on Sunday and Monday was glorious and the children played by the lake in the dingy, but then the rain came down and down and down, we still went to Carlisle, Keswick and Hawkshead for little trips out... the washing machine (and the dryer) hasn't been off since we came home!

MD - hope you're feeling well after dd2's birth, I'm sure it won't be long until your dd1 settles down... I've got that to look forward to when my ds2 meets his new baby sister.

ei - congratulations on the new job, hope you enjoy it!

BL - only 5 weeks to go , glad to hear that the placenta has moved now and you got to see your baby again (did you ask what you were having, or could you see?)

Nemo - how did you manage to win 2 cameras?? You lucky thing, can you pass some of your luck down here please, I need bunkbeds too!.

Jammy - hope you're all o.k., haven't seen you for ages .

MD- ive got 5 weeks to go!!...due on the 12th Sept. Now ive woken up as Dp told me that his SD is coming down in 2 weeks time to stay for a week and ill be looking after her as Dp wont be able to have time off - ie cant afford to. So ive woken myself up and thinking "what can i do to not have SD bored!!"...as i cant go really to anywhere apart from the small park down the road and do some arty stuff at home im praying like mad that its gonna be sunny for that whole week so i take them to the park everyday!. Pictures - forget it as i dont fancy running around the cinema with DD, beach - its a half an hour walk to there and i wont be comfy anyway. errrrrr!!!

Congratulations Ei
How are you feeling BL? How long have you got left.

We are coping well (ish!) DD2 decided on thurs that she wanted to be fed every 2 and half hours so we were shattered but she seems to be back to between 3 and 4 hours.
DH goes back to work on Thurs. My mum is having DD2 on wed so we can have a special day with DD1.

I have been out today which did me good to get some fresh air and partake in some retail therapy!

Stoppin - how did the face painting go?
