Welcome back nemo, thought you had fallen out with us!

I think in future i will leave the meet up planning to somebody, not many takers for my first one!

Nemoandthefishes · 17/07/2008 21:20

aww MD maybe its the fear you will go into labour!!!How are you enjoying last weeks with DD??

JustJaamy · 17/07/2008 23:13

Oh MD - it's not you. I'm never very successful at meet-ups!

Would love to see you before other distractions(!), though I guess time is running short.

Ambi · 17/07/2008 23:35

Hiya scousies, I live near Warrington and I don't know Liverpool very well but i'd like to join a meet up, as it's not far away at all.

gigglewitch · 17/07/2008 23:52

ambi hi and welcome yay im no longer the newbie
xx ei xx

JustJaamy · 18/07/2008 11:36

[guilty emoticon] Sorry I'm not able to do the meet up. I can do a meet up this week if anyone else is able. School hols and all. DD1 will be going stir crazy by, erm...Monday!

Ei - how did the interview go? Was at your treatment by your GP on the TTC thread. Hope you've sorted them out now.

Welcome ambi! I'm in Whiston so the right side of Liverpool for you. What age(s) are your DCs? We tend to be a bit better at getting together during the day as most of us struggle to sort out arrangements for the DCs in the evening/are strapped for cash have such a hectic social life! But we will persevere and get togehter some time soon.

biglips · 18/07/2008 12:16

what a sad say for us here as one of my friend (well it is more of my dp's close friends wife) died last night from MSRA . All the women had DD's school were talking about it. RIP Karen

Ambi · 18/07/2008 15:25

DD is 6mths, so daytime would be great.

MyDingaling · 18/07/2008 16:24

EI maybe we are best rearranging meet up for another week!
Hello ambi.

JustJaamy · 18/07/2008 23:17

BL - so sorry about your DH's friend's wife. How awful. Really makes you count your blessings.

MD - yes, let's re-arrange. When's good for you MD since you could be very slightly...err...popping...very shortly!

Ambi - you will be more than welcome with your DD. We can all brood over her! Don't know whether you've gathered but we have one poster (MD) due in the next couple of weeks, one due in Sept (Biglips), I think and Browny due in November. Most of the rest of us are either TTC or thinking about it. Yes, we are trying to boost the Northwest population!

Re: daytime meet ups - the usual haunts are out because of weather and school hols. Anyone got any ideas? Depending on numbers, I could host a daytime meet up but worried that I wouldn't have anything for the older DCs inside.

Re: Evening meet ups - I will gladly volunteer chez Jaamy as a venue for a take away/glass of wine (juice for the pg ladeez, obviously) though Nemo has first dibbs on the spare room! DH is starting a 6-week stint in Paris but will be home at weekends so at least he will be out of the way! and . And yes, I will be joining him for at least one of those weeks so anyone who has any ideas as to what an unaccompanied-lady-about-town does in Paris all day, please let me know!

Night night all x

biglips · 19/07/2008 05:34

jaamy - i took a look on seftongov (thats my local council) and typed in childrens centre. it gave me the timetable of all the childrens centres so now DD's social life is looking fab!!........there are alot of under age 5's groups on there too. DD will be back to her preschool on 8th September.

Yes i am due 12th Sept so welcome Ambi .

thanks about my friend as she was sooo young, about 37-38. She had been in and out of hospital all her life and then caught the bug! she leaves behind 3 kids age between 9 - 18.

Nemoandthefishes · 19/07/2008 21:48

MyDingaling · 20/07/2008 21:05

Sorry about your friend BL
I can do meet up on Thurs or friday this week (as long as I am not in labour!)
I don't know what everybody else thinks but I think we should maybe avoid soft play areas over the summer holidays.

JustJaamy · 21/07/2008 03:58

Thurs or Fri good for me too...but where, though???

stoppinattwo · 21/07/2008 04:10

OP posts:
biglips · 21/07/2008 07:11

s@2 - what are you doing up too???

i managed to sleep thru last night as went to see my friend's new born baby girl...aaawww she is so tiny! as her birthweight was a 6lb 8oz. DD was being gentle with her and saying hello to her too!...hope she is like that with ours. Gotta get DD up soon for her preschool as she got a fancy dress party to go to! and tmrw is the last day

browny · 21/07/2008 10:45

Morning, I can meet up Thursday or Friday too, (would need to bring kiddies though).. how about Calderstones Park, at least we could sit down there and have a cuppa or something to eat (I could put my three on babysitting duty on the swings!) .

JustJaamy · 21/07/2008 10:45

Getting up at stupid oclock on Sunday morning for car boot has wrecked my body clock. Woke up at 3 to go to loo and couldn't get back to sleep!

What were you doing in the wee small hours, SA2???????

Don't suppose you want to go too far from home, do you MD?

biglips · 21/07/2008 11:02

hi all!...

im just having a 5 mins break before i hit the bedroom again....(just one more day before DD is finished her preschool for the term). Just munching on an apple and raisins to keep my energy up!

i wont be able to do any meet ups this week as my DD got a dance rehearsal on Wed night for 4 hours!! and got her dance show this Friday so i want to keep her in on Thurs and also to have a afternoon nap too or otherwise she'll be ill from the rehearsal!!

anyway hope you all have a lovely time and the weather keeps up too xx

Jaamy - my mum does the car boot sale too at Burscough..she had to be there at a stoopid hour - 5am and there till about 12 - 1pm. i wouldnt even dare attempt to go anywhere at that hour!!!

Nemoandthefishes · 21/07/2008 11:48
