OP posts:
heididrink · 23/04/2008 19:39

Nailpolish - you are not old!!

heididrink · 23/04/2008 19:42

OK off to have dinner - will check later to see if any dates have been suggested

nailpolish · 23/04/2008 19:42

sometimes i get a fright when i remember how old i am

like when someone asks your age - for wahtever reason - and you are astonished when you realise...

Ok these are my possible dates that i would have childcare for.

3rd or 4th of May (prob too soon for most i think)
Sunday 18th of May
Sunday 1st of June
28th of June

The 28th would be good as i would have Sunday to recover (if need be)

But if another date is better for everyone i can/will do whatever

beansmum · 23/04/2008 20:46

I can't do 1st June, it's ds's birthday. Can do any of the other dates and pretty much any other date except 14th June.

aGalChangedHerName · 23/04/2008 20:54

Ok what about everyone else?

nippersnappers · 23/04/2008 21:02

I've never been to Harvey Nics before. Is it Uber Posh?

I'd love to come along seeing as how I always miss the meet ups.

If you decide when I'll try my very best to get along :0

beansmum · 23/04/2008 21:07

I've never been either...hope I'm not too scruffy.

rookiemater · 23/04/2008 21:14

Oh can I come too ?

I have been to Harvey Nics for lunch once, clearly pre DS, and my friend had the card for their, they do a fab pre christmas shoppers evening with a different alcoholic beverage on every floor, I have the Laura Mercier brush set to prove it ( again clearly pre DS)

I think I can do 1st June or 28th June.

aGalChangedHerName · 23/04/2008 21:17

Right off to see my friend who is a newly qualified manacurist(sp).

She needs lots of practice so i of course voluntered. I am having a parafin wax treatment and a manicure.Lucky me hey?

heididrink · 23/04/2008 21:19

I am doing Race For life on 8th June - any other weekend is fine for me

heididrink · 23/04/2008 21:25

rookiemater PMSL in the nicest possible way about your experience at Mother and Toddlers.
I absolutely hated it but one Christmas night out I bonded with 6 like minded souls and never looked back.

rookiemater · 23/04/2008 21:33

Oh heidi I have been bricking myself ever since in case someone from our group is on mumsnet, if they all blank me next week I know whats happened and another disclaimer I really like the people, its just the situation thats difficult.

Agal , if your friend should need any more practice then my knarly old hands with cuticles up to my tips are free....

mawbroon · 23/04/2008 22:12

Hmm, my diary is completely empty! How sad is that.. There are a couple of family birhtdays in May/June though, so something might possibly come up at a later date.

Lilliput, that does sound a bit mental at your parents' house! When you were talking about it on Saturday, I got the impression that you were ok with it all. Are the Nepalese family there to stay do you think? And your grown up brothers for that matter!

I have actually had lunch in Harvey Nicks before believe it or not. It was when sausage and mash was trendy a few years back. It was very nice sausage and mash, but it was still sausage and mash IYSWIM!

prettybird · 23/04/2008 22:48

I'll try and make whatever date is decided.

3/4 May is no good.

18th May is the weekend of our 10th wedding anniversary, but I suspect that if we do anything it will on the day itself (16th) and the Saturday.

1st June I think dh will be on London for wine tasting practice papers (his MW exams are from the 8th), but I am sure I can get childcare (wonderful SIL )

28th June should also be OK (day before dh's birthday)

Heididrink - if it makes you feel any better, I was 47 just over 2 weeks ago!

aGalChangedHerName · 24/04/2008 07:04

The 28th is looking good for most of us so far then by the looks of it.

Is the food fab then at Harvey Nicks?

aGalChangedHerName · 24/04/2008 07:06

I was thinking the 28th would be good too cos the schools will have broken up on the 27th.

Can you tell the 28th would really work for me???

liath · 24/04/2008 07:50

28th looking OK for me.

The food isn't bad, there's a brasserie bit which is cheaper than the restaurant proper.

nailpolish · 24/04/2008 08:44

right its the 28th then

i was slightly panicking when earlier dates were mentioned cos i am broke just now

OP posts:
heididrink · 24/04/2008 08:47

28TH June is fine for me too

mawbroon · 24/04/2008 09:36

Pencil me in because I'll need to wait and see about 28th. MIL and BIL have birthdays on 26th and 30th so there might be some birthday stuff going on over that weekend.

mawbroon · 24/04/2008 09:50

Prettybird. Glad you had a great holiday. I can't believe that you are 47 No way!!
