does any one else fancy lunch at harvey nichols?

OP posts:
Lilliput · 23/04/2008 18:28

I would love to look at handbags and drool at the chanel counter.......but I fear it will start yet another rant about how I can't afford ANYTHING to treat myself anymore. Okay I wouldn't be able to afford stuff from harvey nicks but I can't even get the imitaions from new look anymore.

I am quite prepared to have lunch and pretend I have money though.

beansmum · 23/04/2008 18:28

can I come too?

nailpolish · 23/04/2008 18:31

lilliput i wont be buying anything either

i am on first name terms with the VERY camp handbag counter salesman tho. dd1 sometime sgoes to the art club at the portrait gallery round the corner from harvey nicks, i drop her off andthen go and stroke the handbags. i thought i was being discreet until the sales man announced that he "seen me a few times, would modom like any help?"

you get loads of free samples if you corner the make up girls. they are so much more friendly than jenners

All welcome beansmum.

Oh Lilliput poor you. Families are hard eh?

Lilliput · 23/04/2008 18:33

Not really NP, I am feeling skint, trapped, frustrated I haven't heard anything from Uni, and slightly regretful that we gave up the restaurant. My scummy parents house is doing my head in too. Their house is so effing dirty ds has had the squits from staying there on Sat night.

beansmum · 23/04/2008 18:33

saturday is best for me. any saturday, I don't have a social life!

nailpolish · 23/04/2008 18:35

oh lilliput its difficult sometimes isnt it?

why dont you give uni a call?

OP posts:
aGalChangedHerName · 23/04/2008 18:40

It's hard when you don't have anyone to help other than parents.

I hate asking mine to do even an hour cos it is always done grudgingly. I have to really work up to asking my mum

The girls are not allowed at their house (by me)as they have 2 fecking annoying westies, one of whom has to wear a muzzle and my mum won't put them in another room even tho the dd's are scared of them

nailpolish · 23/04/2008 18:42

id ont even have any family at all to ask. unless i include my mothe rwho i see every 2 months or whatever

lillput if yo wnat i can come down and see you, meet up with the children, they have school hols may 5th and 19th if weekends are shite for you

keep it in mind ihate to see you glum

yuk i hate dogs!

OP posts:
Lilliput · 23/04/2008 18:46

In so many ways they are great and will have the kids at the drop of a hat which is amazing. But there are just too many people living in their house. They have a family they have 'adopted' from Nepal, two adults, three teenagers and an 8 year old boy my kids play with a lot. My two brothers live there too, they are 29 and 35 and then of course my mother and nutty professor father. But the house is squalid and I sound like a right miss goody two shoes pollyanna if I complain about the hygiene for my kids.
Oh I forgot the five dogs and one cat too.

nailpolish · 23/04/2008 18:47

oh my goodness lilliput! that is a lot

OP posts:
aGalChangedHerName · 23/04/2008 18:48

Well i don't hate them as much as i think dogs should know their place, which imo is bottom of the family you know.

My mum calls them her babies slobber slobber

Take care Lilliput xx

Off to collect ds2 from youth club.

Lilliput · 23/04/2008 18:54

Don't worry, I'll snap out of it, I just somethime get really frustrated with my (not really that bad) lot. Thanks for the love though girls.
