Hope you ladies had a great time on Sunday and didn't miss me too much

Race for Life was amazing, I was really ill on saturday night/ sunday morning and thought I would have to drop out, but the adreneline kicked in and I got round in 34 minutes

I did however sleep from 3 that afternoon till 6.30 the following morning, but these things happen

Hello! I've been lurking away on this thread like a freaky deaky stalker. Sounds like you all had fun yesterday!

I'm moving up to Edinburgh at the end of June and was wondering if I could crash in on the festival meet up?

gomez · 02/06/2008 20:39

Hello All,

A pleasure as always and DH was very surprised at my (relative)sobriety! Lovely food - good call Nailly.

Festival meet-up good, Stobo meet-up good - Finding time perhaps not so good but can only try!

Was nice to meet you Heididrink - shame didn't really chat to much (although you may disagree).

Glad the Race for Life (great weather for it, huh) went well and look forward to meeting you another time.

More then merrier Adamant, we are a very friendly and all wax specially for the occasion.

May I add that I was inordinately pleased to be called glamourous - DH managed to almost stifle his laugh at that one.

Cheerio

nippersnappers · 02/06/2008 20:39

Hi AA,

I've never managed to make a meet up yet!!!

But it's always the more the merrier, where are moving to/from?

heididrink · 02/06/2008 20:55

It looks like you will have to count me out of the Festival meet up.
I have just been diagnosed with my 3rd bloody hernia.
My op is scheduled for the 23rd JULY after I return from holiday.
I will then be out of action - again - for at least 6 weeks.
I just cant believe it as my last op was only in DEC hence the reason why I didnt make the Christmas meet up.
SOOOOOO if you are all meeting up after Sept I WILL be there no matter what.

nippersnappers · 02/06/2008 21:41

Ouch Heididrink,

sounds painful, look after yourself and make the most of the holiday (if you can).

If it makes you feel any better, I have missed every meet simply cos I'm crap [grin}

Feel better?

No I thought not

heididrink · 02/06/2008 22:11

perhaps we should set up an alternative meet up then for the incompetent and the infirm - altho I am in both categories these days

Sorry to hear about that Heididrink. It must be annoying fro yuot have to go through it all aagain.

BTW - here is the link to dh's website. www.thewineschool.com/ He's not really been working on it while he has been studyign for his exams - but once they're done, he'll be putting more effort into it.

heididrink · 03/06/2008 12:07

thanks for info prettybird I have bookmarked it

prettybird · 03/06/2008 12:10

Even better - why not register. That way tyou'll get an automatic updatefr om him when he does go "active"!

gomez · 05/06/2008 14:55

Ah, Heididrink that is a shame. But never fear we will organise an appropriate event to celebrate your return to health.

Do you weight-lift?

PB - hope your DH is sailing through his exams this week.

prettybird · 05/06/2008 18:00

Gomez - not sure "sailing" is the term, but he has found them a useful exercise and says that even if he doesn't pass either the practical or the theory this year, then he knows what he needs to do for next year

He's going to start "studying" again from July, even though he doesn't get the results until September.
