i recently moved to the reading area: i have one 2 year old daughter, a shi tzu and a workaholic (joke!) husband, looking for similar to meet up with and share sloshings of wine, food, chats etc! anyone out there?

Where do you live now then? Don't think you mentioned what age your dd is??? As for the pub, do you mean READING station? Trying to think as I've heard of it but can't picture it???

dd is 3.7 and ds is 13months. They're a handful!! We've just moved to Southampton for dp's work. It's ok but i miss reading now and then

sorry I didn't get back sooner, tying up stuff at work, and 5 & 6 year olds got too much sun on their sports days. I'm 38, and have moved to south Reading after having lived in Lower Early for several years, and been single parent to my three since last November. They're good kids, but this parenting lark is hard work, so I'm taking a career break in three weeks.

i lived in lower earley all my life till a few years ago, now moved to Swindon (purely for house prices) but still love Reading it will always be HOME, all my family and friends there still and i visit loads.

we used to hang out at sol joel. Some of the people i knew were a year or two above me - julian willis, colin morris, nick ramsden, tony&paul whiffin, debbie and daniel ford, kate hamilton.....do you know any of those?

Trying to think of some others in your year.... nathan porter? Daniel Mattock (he died a long time ago)

daniel died in a car crash with a couple of people i knew

I tried to 'join in' with the skating crew but didn't feel quite cool enough to enjoy it. my mates went and i hung back cos i was so shy in those days.

Don't know anyone from Bulmershe i don't think. What was the other school in woodley?

The other school in Woodley is Waingels. There was only 3 of us from Bulmershe who used to hang around with maiden erlegh because my best friend was going out with Julian willis and the other friend went out with Dean Midgely. I ended up with colin morris and daniel ford - lucky me!!

Were you in the 'cool' gang then.

I was in the 'middle' gang with a few 'cool' gang mates.

How sad does that sound, but that is what it was like.

Was there a school reunion, i would love there to be one for our school to turn up and show all the people i hated how much better i am now. (and pray they're not rich etc)
