sounds good, you can cat me or email me on vickimyers at msn dot com

i'm not a yorkshire lass, just a wannabee, i'm quite fed up with life down here at the moment and looking forward to going back oop north! we moved back to reading as we were offered the deposit on our house if we came back down, but things don't always work out as well as you hope do they?
anyway promise not to talk depressing talk all morning/afternoon if we do meet up!

Hi,
also living in Reading, single parent of three, aged 3, 5 & 6. However I'm a daddy, not sure if these meet ups are just for mummys. Shortly taking a career break as the wee terrors are keeping me busy. Are dads allowed to meet ups?

HellyBelly · 14/07/2005 08:16

Hi Kama & SSD. Where do you live then? I've met up with one person from Spencers Wood already and would be nice to meet up with others. Only problem is that I'm a childminder so can be quite busy with a house full so am restricted as to when I can meet up.

i'm 29 with 2 ds age 8 and 3. you're all going to say that you are v young now aren't you?

HellyBelly · 14/07/2005 11:36

ah at least hellybelly is the same age, although saying that because i'm at uni a lot of my freinds are younger, just feeling older than my years today!

HellyBelly · 14/07/2005 13:50

I normally feel quite young as my hubby is 44 however today I'm feeling very old (hardly any sleep, too hot, having a slobby day as day off!)

I need a huge SLAP to wake me up!!!

Hello, how about heading to the Thames Valley park area, by the river & having a picnic ?

Or Hellybelly & I are meeting up next Monday afternoon ?

CAT us for details ?

HellyBelly · 14/07/2005 14:18

Ouch, that hurt - only joking, just what I needed Kama - Thanks!!!

I met hubby at Sindlesham Mill night club (how tacky!) when I was 20 and he was 35 . I wasn't supposed to be there as was over 21's and hubby was one of the oldest there!!!

I'm up for meeting up, better when minding less kiddies though!

Must go as silly ds reckons he's 'broken his hand!' (because he touched something - keeps saying hurt himself and wants a bandage! )

vickiyumyum · 14/07/2005 14:29

i'm a student midwife! my dh is older than me too hes 38 i met him on holiday in Turkey.

I'm at work on monday (currently on placement in special care at the RBH)

would love to meet up. if its before the summer hols will only have the one ds with me as the other one at school. and to be honest would be much easier although could palm him off to his nans for the day as he can be abit of a hand full attention seeking if he is the eldest by a long while. although if ssd meets up to there will be someone closer to his age!

HellyBelly · 14/07/2005 14:39

Well I can't get rid of my ds (2) so he'll have to come. For me the best days are Friday's as I mind a little girl (2) Mon - Wed and also an 18 month old boy on a Tues & Thurs. AND, in the hols I'll also have another boy (5½) and girl (9) on a Tues & Thurs (yes, 5 kiddies on a Tues during hols ). At least I have a day off on a Friday.

TBH, I know this makes it harder to get round so feel free to meet up without me as Friday's aren't good for everyone.

Mumtomygirlsx · 15/07/2005 14:40

Mojomummy · 16/07/2005 12:59

Hi Mumtomygirlsx how old are your little girls ?

Mumtomygirlsx · 16/07/2005 13:24

Hey, Sophie is 1year 1month 1 week and 4 days old and Amelia is 2months and 2 days old.
Morgan xx

HellyBelly · 16/07/2005 18:21

Wow Mumtomygirlsx, bet you've got your hands full then with 2 little ones under 2!! Having said that, they'll probably end up really good friends being so close together. I'd really love another one but at the moment my little monkey and the little kiddies I childmind keep me pretty busy - maybe next year! x

swiperfox · 16/07/2005 18:24

Hi were any of you born in/go to school in Reading? I did and always wonder if there's anyone I know on the Reading thread!!

HellyBelly · 16/07/2005 18:38

Hi Swiperfox

I was born in Chesterfield (up north) and spent most of my childhood in Doncaster. Moved down when I was 14 and went to school in Woodley. What about you?

swiperfox · 16/07/2005 18:43

Hiya I lived in woodley from age 5-22 and went to Bulmershe! I had friends at waingels too. You would have been in my year i think! i'm 28 in 2 weeks...

HellyBelly · 16/07/2005 18:46

I went to Bulmershe too!!! I'm actually 29 (30 in Feb) but my brother and sister (twins) are 28 in September so you may have been in their year???
