Hmmm...time to try and get some more details from my friend Lee's freind re.DVO

binkleandflip · 16/11/2007 09:10

Oggs!! So glad you are back, we were all getting a bit frantic!

And sorry you've been having a bit of a wobbly time but you know we're here anytime you want to talk it out

Anyway, I am purposefully ignoring all references to Lee and DVO as it is too much to bare..Lyra, you sound like you had a great time and what a fab choice of outfit - anything from Zara is class as far as I am concerned - just wish more stuff fit me

I'm off to York for a night out tonight (off to hypno lady now to be reprogrammed so will let you know how that goes ) so I will back on after the weekend, hope you all have a good one

oh and sshh cos dont usually do this but I've had a couple this week and it feels surprisingly gooood!! So.... ((hugs)) for Oggs

LyraSilvertongue · 16/11/2007 09:11

"He added that his ideal woman was "just someone who's herself"."

I'm myself. That makes me his ideal woman! Woo hoo!

I can't see him and DVO together. He seems a bit too innocent and she's a bit of a maneater.

Binkle, do we have to start calling each other 'hun' and 'babes' from now on too?

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 16/11/2007 09:17

yes of course and adding kisses to our posts - xx

LyraSilvertongue · 16/11/2007 10:36

I'd like you gals to rule on my dilemma please.
Do i take my lovely Zara dress back to the shop?
Reasons to keep it - it's lovely, it hides my lumps and bumps and I've already worn it.
Reasons to take it back - It's in a larger size than I'd normally buy and I'm losing weight, so will be too big soon, it cost £60 that I don't really have atm, I don't go to enough posh dos to justify a lovely dress.
Whaddaya think?

OP posts:
Berrie · 16/11/2007 11:12

Have you left the labels on?

Berrie · 16/11/2007 11:14

What are the chances of you losing weight and it staying off for the rest of your life?

LyraSilvertongue · 16/11/2007 12:21

For the rest of my life? The chances are slim. But the dress will date so it won't look good when I'm 50 anyway.

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 16/11/2007 12:41

I'll take it back
Maybe in a few weeks I can buy it again in a smaller size.

A good frock should be a timeless classic!

Berrie · 16/11/2007 13:45

I'm told...

Berrie · 16/11/2007 13:46

Can't wear dresses I'm afraid...I am the wrong shape.

Berrie · 16/11/2007 13:49

Do you think Oggs thinks I am a mad stalker?

I am mad, but not a stalker...I like Oggs, that's all...

....unlike the rest of you!

LyraSilvertongue · 16/11/2007 14:29

I don't like you either, Berrie
And yes, you are a mad stalker, hun

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 16/11/2007 14:36

OP posts:
Berrie · 16/11/2007 14:46

Aw, wasn't he good? Still not much cop at interviews though
DS1 did a poo right in the middle of the performance and I had to go and wipe his bum . Talk about bad timing.

OP posts:
Berrie · 16/11/2007 19:24

Did you miss it when the mic went?

LyraSilvertongue · 16/11/2007 19:36

No, I saw that bit. Poor Lee

OP posts:
Berrie · 16/11/2007 19:43

Dh was very scathing because he didn't turn it on...we almost had a row about it as it was obviously the woman's job not his

LyraSilvertongue · 16/11/2007 20:20

I thought his mini mic had gone and the woman had to rush out and hand him a hand-held mic. Or di I misunderstand that?

DP's come out with a complete shocker this evening.
He says he was talking to the showbiz guy at work, telling him how we'd been to see Joseph and had hung around afterwards waiting for an autograph. So showbiz guy says something along the lines of "bloody hell, why were you waiting around on the pavement to meet Lee Mead? You want to meet Lee Mead, we'll take him out to dinner at The Ivy."

Apparently all we have to do is say the word and he'll fix it up.
I'm having a cold sweat just thinking about it. What would we talk about? Would my brain wither and die if called upon to make conversation with such a sex god? Is there a way to turn dinner into lunch on January 30th with some of Lee's 'fans'?

Berrie · 16/11/2007 20:55

Oh I think so Lyra!
