Welcome to our new home Berrie, Zebedeedoodah, Oggsfrog and Binkleandflip.
Hope you all find your way here.

oh dear, I'm clearly having some kind of mental seizure today

I hate it when my fingers wont co-operate with my brain!

Wonder how Lyra got on..

Berrie · 15/11/2007 14:34

Methinks Lyra has been arrested for pinching the chancellor's bottom!

LyraSilvertongue · 15/11/2007 14:52

Hello!
I'm still recovering from the bucketfuls of white wine I consumed last night. I had to go back to bed once I'd seen the boys off to school this morning and only got up at 11.15 to get DS2 from nursery
Last night was fun. My sister who was babysitting was an hour late so it was a bit of a mad dash. Met DP outside the gates to Downing Street and he escorted me in. Twas very strage walking into this place that you've seen on the TV countless times.
Anyway, we spent the next couple of hours chatting to lots of people including the chancellor, Sarah Brown, other journos (inc Kay Burley and Nick Robinson from ITN) and a couple of other ministers. One of them I hadn't recognised and was just blathering on to him and after he left DP said 'you do know who that was don't you' and it turns out he's quite important (not famous though so you probably wouldn't know the name).
Then the boss's wife and I got a taxi home and I went on to the pub to meet DS2's nurdsery class mums.

LyraSilvertongue · 15/11/2007 14:53

Oh, and I wore a lovely new Zara dress, which DS2 helped me choose.

Berrie · 15/11/2007 15:19

Glad that you had fun Lyra!
We will be mixing in esteemed company next January!

Berrie · 15/11/2007 15:23

I am completely recovered by the way. Yesterday I was fine whereas the day before I was feeling dreadful. Nothing had changed, I just suddenly felt normal again. I've been convinced for a long time that my depression is hormonal but the Dr just doesn't seem interested in that train of thought and there isn't an awful lot online around it. It was a shock to suddenly feel that bad again as I have been fine for a few months now. Ah well.

Berrie · 15/11/2007 15:24

Link to dress please!

Berrie · 15/11/2007 15:24

Were you peed off at sister?

Zebedeedoodah · 15/11/2007 16:03

Good for you Berrie, I'm glad to hear it. I guess if you know it can happen like that it's a bit easier, but one hell of a shock if it's out of the blue. Here's to the happy pills

Lyra, will you still deign to speak to us mere mortals now you move in such exalted circles?

Binkle?! Doh!!!!

LyraSilvertongue · 15/11/2007 16:17

I tried to find the dress online but failed. The Zara site is very flash but essentially useless.

OP posts:
Berrie · 15/11/2007 16:29

Oh that's a shame, nevermind.

LyraSilvertongue · 15/11/2007 16:38

I'm glad you're feeling better btw. I wouldn't be surprised if it was hormonal. I feel better and worse at different times of the month. I've only just realised (after 25 years of periods ) that I suffer from PMT. I'm really irritable in the couple of day before my period.
It's not the same as depression though, I know.

OP posts:
Berrie · 15/11/2007 16:58

High strength evening primrose oil worked like magic on my pmt. I get depressed for a few days around ovulation but because I'm expecting it and I know it won't last it's ok. This is a different time of the month though.

LyraSilvertongue · 15/11/2007 16:59

Bloody hormones. They should be banned.

OP posts:
Berrie · 15/11/2007 17:02

Yup.

Berrie · 15/11/2007 17:03

Am going to try dd at playschool next week

Berrie · 15/11/2007 17:04

DS didn't go until he was 3 but he is very shy. The thought of having a couple of hours to myself every week is great! The things I could do! ? !

LyraSilvertongue · 15/11/2007 17:15

I'm sure DD will hve loads of fun. DS2 started in September and he really didn't want to go at first, but within a couple of day he loved it.
And it's fab to have some time off (but it does mean there's no longer any excuse not to go to the gym).

OP posts:
Berrie · 15/11/2007 17:20

How old?

LyraSilvertongue · 15/11/2007 17:33

3.3 but he'd been to day nursery before when he was 2.5 and loved that too.

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 15/11/2007 19:50

Helllloooo

Can't stop now, but just wanted to say thankyou for your concern. (Thanks too Berrie, for throwing me into utter confusion when I rec'd an sae with no covering note/letter etc (got the card today - thanks))

I've not actually been having problems with the internet connection - more like problems with my head . I've been in a funny headspace these last few weeks (jealousy, depression, misunderstandings amongst other things) and have had to sort out some issues. During this time I have not been on the internet at all and am ashamed that I didn't consider that you might be worried about me .

I'm feeling a lot better now and will be gradually breaking myself back in .

Thankyou all once again. I'm touched that you were thinking of me.

Now, I don't normally do this, but...........

Right, before I go, a snippet of info - Lee's run has been extended until Oct 2008

Berrie · 15/11/2007 20:45

Oggs! So pleased you are not dead! Can admit now to googling your real name and address to look for local accidents.
Sooooo sorry you are having a tough time. I think we all have our horrid times. We are all here for you (I'm sure I can speak for us all) and we are here for you even if you are not in the right place for us too.

Did not let on to everyone else that I was stupid enough to send an envelope only with sae and the card in a seperate envelope when I found it on my fireplace! They should have arrived together though!

Berrie · 15/11/2007 21:01

Bah...shows how much my mole on the inside knows..he reckoned Lee would leave at end of his year's contract. It was when I got excited that he was going to audition for the new cast next year and I started to imagine him and Lee in same theatre and my chances of a meeting...that was when he dashed my hopes by saying he didn't think Lee would stay on...Berrie goes to bed planning her Lee moment and wishing for Lee dreams..................at which point suddenly remembers random dream last night in which Lee was in the other room at childhood family home playing the violin and everyone was moaning about it......how odd

LyraSilvertongue · 15/11/2007 21:27

Phew! Glad you're back Oggs. We were getting worried. If you want to talk about what's been going on with you, we're all here to listen
I'd have thought Lee would be thoroughly bored of Joseph by June 08. Apparently not though.

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 16/11/2007 07:40

Lee admits to flirting with DVO. (they've just nicked it from the NOW interview)
Wonder what sort of "aftercare" DVO is referring to??
