Welcome to our new home Berrie, Zebedeedoodah, Oggsfrog and Binkleandflip.
Hope you all find your way here.

OP posts:
Berrie · 13/11/2007 15:14

Not that he ever took me out...

Berrie · 13/11/2007 15:15

I had my £2 pocket money which was enough for the bus in, a pint in happy hour (50p), a share in a bag of chips and the bus back...

Zebedeedoodah · 13/11/2007 15:23

If DH let his hair grow it would be curly. And he's very very dark, hardly going grey at all. Wistful sigh.... he's got it in a boring 'City' cut instead.

Berrie · 13/11/2007 16:22

Humph!

binkleandflip · 13/11/2007 16:23

Oh happy days when pints were 50p

binkleandflip · 13/11/2007 16:28

...not that I drink pints, I'm far too delicate and ladylike, like

Berrie · 13/11/2007 16:43

Are you really?

binkleandflip · 13/11/2007 16:49

well, ..ish

When we went to Dublin I insisted dh get me a pint of guinness so I could be authentic and get into the spirit and it took me 4 hours to drink it lol - I was so hammered that I trashed the hotel room when we went back - mini baileys tipped all over the bed and toilet roll over the light fittings - dont ask - and this was at 5 in the afternoon

Needless to say didnt make it out for dinner that evening

Berrie · 13/11/2007 16:53

eh? You got really drunk on one pint of guiness drunk over 4 hours?

binkleandflip · 13/11/2007 16:55

yes.

I know, I am a complete lightweight...but I've been building up my stamina a lot since then with plenty of practice lol. Dont worry you wont have to lift me off a bar stool and put me to bed before you lot head off to the performance

Berrie · 13/11/2007 17:04

Yikes!

Berrie · 13/11/2007 18:00

I have posted a card and an sae to Oggs but I missed the post so she should get it on Thursday and we'd hear back earliest Friday.

Zeb...what is 10 days to go?

binkleandflip · 13/11/2007 18:02

ok hopefully we'll here from her soon.

Berrie · 13/11/2007 18:39

Even Dh is asking if Oggs is back yet!

LyraSilvertongue · 13/11/2007 19:26

Doh, I'm always out when you lot are chatting. You all know Tuesday is my busy day from hell, don't you...
Funnily enough, DP was also curly waaaaaaay back in his younger days but he's got hardly anything left now. He has an almost-bald number one cut.
Berrie, well done for writing to Oggs. Hope we hear back soon.
Binkle ((((hugs))))
Can't believe you trashed a hotel room after one pint though. That's beyond lightweight

Was going to enquire what all your dh's thought about our meet-up? Mine is quite intrigued by the whole thing seeing as he is an unsociable sod at the best of times so the thought of having actually made decent 'virtual' friends who I now want to spend an outing with is quite a lot for him to take in

My mum and my sister did warn me the other day that they were worried about me meeting people from the net and warned me of 'stranger danger!' I said that you were hardly likely to want to abduct me or anything and I should be pretty safe because you all sound fairly normal and sane - just like me

thanks for the hugs all feeling a bit brighter now.

LyraSilvertongue · 13/11/2007 21:42

You can assure your mum and sister that you are in no danger from me (can't speak for the rest of em though ).
I'm really not a 6ft 5in psychopath disguised as a mum of two, honest.

Lyra, you remember my man from Basil Brush? Well, apparently, he was up for the role as none other than ..... Sean Slater before your OH () got in there! Apparently he was in Eastenders briefly recently - something to do with MrS - but I dont know who as cos I dont really watch it.

I hvent got round to banking your cheque yet - is it ok to do it tomorrow?

LyraSilvertongue · 13/11/2007 22:22

Yes, tomorrow's fine.
I still haven't decided what to wear to Number 11 tomorrow. I nee to go shopping asap.

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 13/11/2007 22:24

Oh yes of course, forgot about your date at No 11...how exciting! Is it a lunch thing? If so I'll be thinking of you, lording it up while I'm having my soup for one at home....

....get the violins out

LyraSilvertongue · 13/11/2007 22:29

Not lunch, early evening Champagne and canapes. Hopefully I'll get to have a nose around too.
I'll send you some virtual canapes to go with your soup for one.

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 13/11/2007 23:07

Well have a great evening Lyra, I'm sure you'll find something fantastic to wear

Berrie · 14/11/2007 07:47

Ooh yes. Come back and tll us all about it tomorrow!

Zebedeedoodah · 14/11/2007 09:09

Oooh, I forgot all about No.11. Hope you have a fab time. We need to know who's there and what all the gos is.

Berrie - it was 10 days until the album's released....5 days now!

And for those of you with a new-found thing for all dark, curly-haired, handsome men, I highly recommend Dangerous Beauty. Rufus Sewell at his absolute yummy best. (spent last night dribbling lots )

binkleandflip · 14/11/2007 09:20

or Adrian Grenier anyone?
