Welcome to our new home Berrie, Zebedeedoodah, Oggsfrog and Binkleandflip.
Hope you all find your way here.

Oh!! It was SO good!! Even if you dont really like Take That it was a complete spectacle - a real show as opposed to a concert. I would recommend anyone to go as it was absolutely thrilling!

And the boys, well anyone who can suspend themselves fully clothed and spread-eagled upside down on a pole (Howard and Jason - pwwwwooooooaaarrr!) at the age of 38 or thereabouts - and still look amazing deserves respect in my book

What can I say it was.....emotional actually which was unexpected. We were lucky to be very close to the stage and I cant wait to go back on Friday!!

Zebedeedoodah · 18/12/2007 09:54

So Gary didn't attempt the pole dancing then?
Sounds great though, and I'm very jealous.
All I did last night was start filling in a job application form. hmmm. Who fancies being my referee?

binklebells · 18/12/2007 11:22

No thank the lord! I think it is always best to avert the eyes when Gary attempts any rythmic movement though to be fair to him he is well aware of his shortcomings and tends to disappear for a costume change while the other lads take it away!

Is it an exciting job you are going for? I've no doubt you are absolutely the right candidate

binklebells · 18/12/2007 11:26

With reference to Oggs, I feel that she's ok (I hope I'm right) and that she has just got lots to do for Christmas plus the added hassle of getting to places to get organised as it sounds as though she is quite remote.

binklebells · 18/12/2007 11:32

Also, where's Berrie today?

And Lyra?

Zebedeedoodah · 18/12/2007 11:36

You smoothie Binkle. Obviously I'm the right candidate, goes without saying
My line manager has just resigned, so I feel it's my duty to apply. The pay rise would be rather nice too! Unfortunatley, it does involve the financial reporting side of things
I'm glad you're somewhat in touch with Oggs as well.

binklebells · 18/12/2007 12:10

Well I hope she will come back on soon. I'd say if we didnt hear from her between now and christmas then I'd worry.

Financial Reporting does not sound like fun....As you know my dh is Financial Director of his firm - he really enjoys it but I am really very bad at financial stuff and tend to shield myself as much as possible from it

I really hope you get it - are there many in the running?

Zebedeedoodah · 18/12/2007 12:35

I kinda like the finance stuff too actually . But you won't kick me out of your gang will you?

I don't know how many others are applying but it's internal and one of my colleagues definitely is, which I don't have a problem with, but she'll throw ALL of her toys out of the pram if I get it over her. Difficult to say who'll get it though, so we'll wait and see

binklebells · 18/12/2007 12:38

Are you kidding? You ARE the gang Zeb, without you it's nothing

Good luck with the application, it's great having a job you can really get into and enjoy, what a difference that makes!

Zebedeedoodah · 18/12/2007 13:34

...

HollyBerrie · 18/12/2007 14:42

Here I am!
I thought about writing again Zeb but she must think of us from time to time because of our plans for January and doesn't feel up to chatting at the moment. I know that if I'm a bit down I'm on Mumsnet a lot for some positive contact but if I'm badly depressed I just can't face it at all. It's not personal to you lot I just can't really do anything.
I'll happily send the address if you want it and I can work out which e-mail contact you are.

Zebedeedoodah · 18/12/2007 15:03

Well here's a quiz to cheer you up.

I'm Elizabeth Bennett.

HollyBerrie · 18/12/2007 16:57

Me too!

binklebells · 18/12/2007 22:10

Apparently I am a Beth March - the epitome of all round loveliness and self-sacrifice ( )

LyraSilvertinsel · 18/12/2007 23:31

I'm Anna Karenina, apparently.

MarsyChristmas · 19/12/2007 00:06

Every time I see this thread title I think you're all planning to go to the theatre and I get ready to invite myself. Sigh..........

If of course you do decide to go to the theatre.......

LyraSilvertinsel · 19/12/2007 00:09

We are planning to go to the theatre next month, hence the thread title. We've got the tickets and eveyrthing but I think the show's sold out now ...

MarsyChristmas · 19/12/2007 00:49

Dagnammit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you going to see? Have a wonderful time.

HollyBerrie · 19/12/2007 09:14

Door 18

HollyBerrie · 19/12/2007 09:15

That's nice Marsey! We are going to see Joseph...or rather Lee mead

HollyBerrie · 19/12/2007 09:16

OOOOOOGGGGGSSSSSSSSSSSS????!!!!????

Berrie runs out onto the wintery moor Wuthering Heights stylee and shouts for Oggs!

(since we are on a Litery theme)

Zebedeedoodah · 19/12/2007 09:30

Lyra a beautiful tragedy [fhmmm]? does that mean you're planning on throwing yourself under the train on the 30th after Lee rejects you?
Binkle, I just don't know what to say. Never did like Little Women

Me & Berrie just get to fight over Mr Darcy

LyraSilvertinsel · 19/12/2007 09:55

But didn't you find that you didn't agree with any of the statements? A couple I just picked at random. So the results cannot be trusted

Zebedeedoodah · 19/12/2007 09:57

The whole thing was pretty random!

LyraSilvertinsel · 19/12/2007 10:05

Really? I thought it was a scientific study {fwink]. Now I feel cheated.
