LyraSilvertinsel · 07/12/2007 14:48

That's great news about your DD
Not sure what they hope to achieve. Maybe some goodwill? Don't really think it works but who knows.

binklebells · 07/12/2007 14:48

It wont open for me Berrie, but I know the one you mean, I had a littl peek around yesterday to see what your chances were

HollyBerrie · 07/12/2007 14:49

Sorry no squirrel monkey with bauble today...will find something else...

binklebells · 07/12/2007 14:49

I'm still waiting for my polar bear/christmas pudding combo.
I'm off work today with the lurgy. i blame Berrie for spreading her (virtual) germs .
We put our Christmas tree up this morning and the living room looks fab.

Have had a relapse this weekend myself. Feel proper poorly with a hacking cough and general lethargy... Passes painkillers to Lyra.

HollyBerrie · 09/12/2007 15:14

It's been a bit quiet hasn't it? Hope Zeb is back next week.
I guess Lyra is busy moving in the highest circles and Binkle will be busy in her social whirl too!

Zebedeedoodah · 10/12/2007 13:36

Hello, how the very devil are you all? Did you miss me?!

Last week was a very unscheduled (& unwanted!) week's holiday. DS got the runny-bums very badly and nursery and CM refused to have him. So I had to take the week off. Never mind, I won brownie points as we went up to my parents early, where we were having our 'family Christmas' over the weekend. So that means I've done all my Christmas shopping & present giving (except DS and DH, natch), and will even have the thank you letters done before Christmas. So I can now relax.

Soooo, what have you all been up to? I've got zillions of emails to catch up on so don't have time to go through everything today, so edited highlights would be fab!

HollyBerrie · 10/12/2007 13:52

Errr...
Lyra went to Downing Street again with the children who sat on Ed Ball's knee...
Oggs has been pretty quiet but confided that she has started AD's...
Binkle's Mum is getting Herceptin which is both a releif and a worry...
I am on to my 3rd virus in a row, 2 colds and the squits...nice

Did miss you yes!

LyraSilvertinsel · 10/12/2007 14:58

Oh dear Berrie, more illness? DS2 is ill again too. Don't know if it's the same illness flaring up again or a completely new one. And just in time for mummy's busiest week of the year.
Glad to see you back Zeb. It's been a bit quiet here so you haven't missed much.

LyraSilvertinsel · 10/12/2007 14:58

LyraSilvertinsel · 10/12/2007 14:59

Nope, doesn't work.

Hi!!

No social whirl for em I'm afraid - all my planned social activities have gone ahead but with a distinct absence of christmas 'spirit' ie drink replaced by catarhh tablets, decongestant and benilyn!

Looks like we are all suffering the same plights but hey ho its that time of year I guess.

Berrie, thank you for your ongoing dedication to the advent - now what about a real challenge....Can you do Lee in a Christmas pose ie with a red hat, eating a mince pie, wearing a fur trimmed loin cloth.....

...is it getting warmer or is it me??

HollyBerrie · 11/12/2007 10:34

Not sure what google would make of that!

Zebedeedoodah · 11/12/2007 12:59

Hey Berrie, I hope you're feeling better today. And you too Binkle. In fact, I hope we're all feeling better. Failing that, I can recommend lemsip laced with whisky and orange juice. Wellllll, it gets rid of the vile taste of lemsip anyway.

Fur trimmed loin cloth?

HollyBerrie · 11/12/2007 14:44

Thanks Zeb. Not well enought to get kids to Playschool in time but well enough later to brave Tesco and buy a few supermarket presents which I swore I wasn't going to do ever again...that's panic for you but it wasn't anyone important

Zebedeedoodah · 11/12/2007 15:00

You could always rip the labels off so everyone thinks they came from somewhere REALLY expensive!

HollyBerrie · 11/12/2007 15:11

Yeah and wrap them up in tissue paper and ribbon!

Zebedeedoodah · 11/12/2007 16:12

Oooh, there's posh!
