Welcome to our new home Berrie, Zebedeedoodah, Oggsfrog and Binkleandflip.
Hope you all find your way here.

Have just spent an hour and a half wading through the DVLA online "changing paper license for a photo license".
Now I just need to go and get my hair cut, apply a trowelful of concealer to my timely spot eruption and go and get a photo taken (which will involve a 60 mile return trip).
I also need to find some mug kind person to sign the back of said photo to vouch for the fact that it is me - as if anybody would want to pretend they were me .
Still need to book the flight and decide whether to buy Stansted Express ticket online or at the time. Don't understand the website [thicko emoticon] - it seems to imply that if I book my ticket I need to pay for it when I arrive at Liverpool St at a machine. Don't you normally pay before you travel??

oggsfrog · 04/12/2007 10:41

Oh. Just read the faq and it seems I can collect the ticket from the machine at Stansted .
Not quite with it at the moment after renewing my acquaintance with Cipramil last week.

Berrie · 04/12/2007 11:05

Ah cipramil my old friend...though I am currently with another I still think about how wonderful life was with you!

Berrie · 04/12/2007 11:12

What we all need is to get away from it all, gaze at a delicious man for an hour or so, get drunk and wake up (when we want to)in a hotel. Read the paper in bed with no-one jumping on us (I meant the kids just then, Lee feel free!) have someone make breakfast for us and if time see some things that we want to see with no buggy and no whining!

LyraSilvertongue · 04/12/2007 12:49

Sounds marvellous Berrie.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/12/2007 12:51

And who might you be? We'll have no interlopers on this thread thanks very much

HollyBerrie · 04/12/2007 12:53

Ooo that lyra, she is always seeing off people!
My head hurts, my nose is running, I feel sick. Thank God for CBeebies...

LyraSilvertongue · 04/12/2007 12:56

I had it last week. No fun, is it. DP and DSs all have a really bad cough. Poor boys are hacking away all night.

HollyBerrie · 04/12/2007 13:04

DH was off work for 3 days with it. (humph - easy for him) DS and DD are both miserable as sin with it, dd super clingy. Speaking of whom, smells like she needs a new nappy!

I tried to carry on as normal yesterday. We were in a National Trust shop. Ds was running round and when I took hold of him he said, 'Gerroff me!' I was dismayed! I gave him a look and he said, 'Get off me please.' I was so ashamed. People pretended it wasn't happening and I imagined them making comments about us when we'd gone.

binkleandflip · 04/12/2007 19:27

What is Cipramil?

Thanks for the advent photies Berrie

I feel like I want a christmassy name but have complete mental block...any ideas?

LyraSilvertongue · 04/12/2007 19:39

Binklebells?

OP posts:
HollyBerrie · 04/12/2007 19:41

Antidepressant Binkle, where you bin?

HollyBerrie · 04/12/2007 19:42

No...I mean, what have you been up to not how come you don't know what cipramil is

binkleandflip · 04/12/2007 19:49

I like Binklebells

Erm, nowhere much - just doing the usual christmas-evoked panic buying/organising oh and snacking! Damn those 'biscuits for cheese' and special 'festive' chocolate biscuit selection!!

Oh, also my mum had her consultation today - they want her to start on herceptin from next week which is obviously really great as I know its much sought after but they have also warned it can damage the heart and at 70 - with a perfectly functioning heart so far - my mum could do without that but obviously she must give it a try - so the emotional rollercoaster continues to rattle on...

Anyway, at least it means we can enjoy Christmas without any dark thoughts hanging over us and also of course that I can really throw myself into my London trip!!

oggsfrog · 04/12/2007 19:56

That must be a relief Binkle.

How are you getting down there? Where are you staying?

Binklebells is good... all I can think of is EggNoggsfrog

binkleandflip · 04/12/2007 20:42

EggsnOGGS would be great actually!!

I am going to drive down and dh is sorting me a hotel - have told him that you are staying at the Strand Palace (is that right?) so is his going to look into that for me.

I'm soooo excited about it all - I'm almost wishing Christmas away!!

Ooh, but before Christmas I have the small matter of GOING TO SEE TAKE THAT !! TWICE !!

Your thoughts ladies? Sad or Fab?

binkleandflip · 04/12/2007 20:46

I meant EggnOGGS not EggSnoggs!!

binkleandflip · 04/12/2007 20:47

Cor I love eggnog BTW - my aunty used to always give me and my cousin Warninks Advocaat and Lemonade on Christmas day - we were 14 and thought it the height of sophistication!

LyraSilvertongue · 04/12/2007 22:13

I could never drink Warninks. Something to do with the colour and the gloopiness.
I like Eggnoggsfrog. I need a good one that doesn't involve silver tinsel. Any ideas?

HollyBerrie · 05/12/2007 07:34

Yule Loggs ?

Sorry Lyra having trouble with you and it was what I used to send me back to sleep numerous times last night on my sick bed
Lyrainginamanger?

eggnoggsfrog · 05/12/2007 07:35

My Gran's friend used to always buy me a miniature bottle of Warnicks Advocaat and my brother a Harveys Bristol Cream - starting when we were all of about 13 and 11 . Maybe that explains something .

Will have a think about names today Lyra. I'm off to get my hair cut this morning.

eggnoggsfrog · 05/12/2007 07:39

Morning Berrie You seem to appear just as I have to disappear
Lyrasilvertongmerrilyonhigh? maybe not...
