Ta daaaa.
Welcome to our new home .

OP posts:

I've put a pic on my profile of the boys in their costumes. It's not the best pic in the world but it was near impossible to keep them all still for more than 3 seconds.

LyraSilverSparklers · 01/11/2007 17:57

I'm glad you enjoyed it Berrie. I think it does us good to have a bit of time away from our DC regularly.

Berrie · 01/11/2007 18:14

Oh cute!

binkleandflip · 01/11/2007 20:19

Aw they're so cute!

Yes, have only just realised that dd and others were also issued with a leaflet last night - all about the dangers of embracing and celebrating Halloween as this is opening yourself up as a channel for evil....

This was given to 5 - 7 year olds!

Not happy about it actually - I know it's a christian organisation of old but I dont think its great to give stuff like that out to children - what a killjoy for one thing! I was quite pleased that dh stuck it in the recycle bag the minute he got home so some good came from that 'helpful' info

MrsSeanSlater · 01/11/2007 20:34

Wow, they know how to kill off a bit of fun don't they. I'd have been very if they'd given DSs something like that.

Berrie · 02/11/2007 08:06

Hello everybody.
My train tickets are not available yet but when they are there, I'll need to snap the cheap ones up asap. what sort of time do you imagine we'll meet?
Oggs, I expect you will be waiting for train tickets to become available too. Do you have any idea yet? I could, in theory, leave after lunch and get back before lunch the next day so that Dh only has to take a morning and afternoon off, but it seems a bit of a waste

Zebedeedoodah · 02/11/2007 09:04

Who was handing out these leaflets? I'd have gone nuts!!! Anyway, the church hi-jacked it yonks ago for All Souls.

binkleandflip · 02/11/2007 09:33

They were given out by 'Moonbeam' and 'Starlight' the pack leaders...two of the most unsuitable names you are ever going to hear for this pair - they are completely without either warmth or charisma in fact if dd's friends didn't go I wouldn't send her tbh - it's just that she enjoys socialising with them despite Moonbeam and Starlights best efforts

Zebedeedoodah · 02/11/2007 09:40

I hated my Brown Owl. She was a right miserable wotsit. Think Margot Leadbetter without the sense of humour!

Zebedeedoodah · 02/11/2007 11:58

Latest news!
The HMV website now has a tracklist for the album. Release date 19th Nov. I don't know all the songs, but I'm sure it's gonna be great :

  5. Stronger
  6. All That You Know
  7. How Can I Be Sure
  8. The Best Is Yet To Come
  9. When I Need You The Most
10. Make It With You 11. Any Dream Will Do
binkleandflip · 02/11/2007 14:02

That cd sounds....interesting...

Why oh why oh why did they pick Gonna Make You a Star to release as a single though!

Oggs, thanks, got your post this morn

Am going to the bank on Monday to activate my new cash card so is it ok with everyone to put the cheques in then?

Berrie · 02/11/2007 18:19

I think Oggs has gone off the radar again...I really hope she doesn't get snowed in...I should have to be very brave then all alone in the big city!

MrsSeanSlater · 02/11/2007 19:55

Sorry, forgot about the cheque again.
If i get it in the post tomorrow it should be with you by Monday in time to put in the bank. if you'd rather I can do it by bank transfer if you email me the relevant details.
Well, we've been out celebrating DP getting a big new job with a fat salary increase too
We knew it was coming and I've had the congratulations card and a new watch as a well done gift ready for weeks because It kept getting delayed. I hid them in my knicker drawer
It's all official now so all is well.

Berrie · 02/11/2007 20:20

Lyra Lyra Lyra, why do you tease us so? Where can we find Mr Lyra?

LyraSilverSparklers · 02/11/2007 20:32

I could tell you if I had your email address but I don't want to put such details on an open internet forum. Too much personal information and all that. Not that it's that exciting really, except to us because it's a job he's wanted since he started in journalism.

binkleandflip · 02/11/2007 20:56

sorry, I was meant to forward e-mail addresses wasnt I? Will do it now

Big Congrats to your dh Lyra, that's great news

Berrie · 02/11/2007 20:58

Oh you put me to shame Binkle...yes Congrats Lyra!!!!

LyraSilverSparklers · 02/11/2007 21:03

Thank you

binkleandflip · 02/11/2007 21:11

Have done email, naturally I messed up the first one - mispelt Oggs address but have sent another to clarify.

So, you bought dh a watch eh Lyra? Hope it wasnt too expensive....

LyraSilverSparklers · 02/11/2007 21:16

I didn't go over £100, which I thought was quite reasonable. He's not fussy about designers or brand names.

binkleandflip · 02/11/2007 21:17

You know I was kidding about the watch dont you - what with all the needling on that other thread?

I shall be eyeing all journos on tv now wondering if I am looking at Mr Lyra

LyraSilverSparklers · 02/11/2007 21:23

Of course
DP hasn't done any tv for a while. He's in newspapers.

Berrie · 02/11/2007 21:23

I do that too though there aren't many on cbeebies...

LyraSilverSparklers · 02/11/2007 21:23

Eh?

Berrie · 02/11/2007 21:49

any political tv journos on cbeebies...
