Ta daaaa.
Welcome to our new home .

OP posts:
Berrie · 26/10/2007 11:47

Id go to Richmond and my brother would pick me up from there if he's in the country.

Berrie · 26/10/2007 12:03

Thanks Zeb! My brother thinks it's less hassle to take the tube though it takes longer...I don't know. I don't seem to have the confidence I had when I was younger!

Berrie · 26/10/2007 12:08

Just a thought...but Oggs and Binkle could come back on same train as rest of us and could stay in cheaper accomodation in Richmond and meet again next day and do something before heading back?

Berrie · 26/10/2007 12:12

bro sends people here

£90 twin
£55 single

So not much cheaper after all.

LyraSilvertongue · 26/10/2007 12:21

Berrie, you wouldn't be on the same train as me but the tube is really easy and Richmond is at the end of the line (District) so you can't miss your stop.
I'd love to have you all to stay over at mine but I've got a teeny tiny house with no spare bedrooms.

LyraSilvertongue · 26/10/2007 12:22

Although you could all have sleeping bags on my living room floor, lined up like sardines in a tin

LyraSilvertongue · 26/10/2007 12:23

Gah! Every time I add a message to this thread it flips upside down again so I get Oggs' first message from weeks ago at the top. How annoying!

Berrie · 26/10/2007 12:37

you can change it

Berrie · 26/10/2007 12:37

customise talk board up the top there

Berrie · 26/10/2007 12:38

Would there be lots of scary people in the tube at night?

Berrie · 26/10/2007 12:44

Of course I could go home but I wouldn't want to miss any fun in the evening...what time would your last trains be Zeb and Lyra?

LyraSilvertongue · 26/10/2007 12:55

About midnight. What time does the matinee start? I'm guessing we'll be out of the theatre by 5ish so that's a lot of drinking time. Maybe we could get some dinner (Covent Garden is around the corner so lots of choice there) then some drinks.

LyraSilvertongue · 26/10/2007 12:59

Berrie, you should definitely stay over so you don't miss out. The tube should be fine on a thursday night, I think.

LyraSilvertongue · 26/10/2007 13:42

I'm off to Ikea so won't be around to discuss/search for tickets till tonight.
see ya gals.

Berrie · 26/10/2007 15:30

So...which one of us do you think will be most unlike how you thought they'd be? (difficult as Binkle and me are physically revealed at least)

Berrie · 26/10/2007 15:37

For me it would be Zeb.
I have a strong idea of what I think Oggs is like. I imagine Binkle to be a younger nicer version of my Aunts. Lyra...mmm,can 't quite get a handle on her. Don't know any journalists, fiesty but ardent fan...tricky.
Zeb though is most hazy for me, not knowing anyone who lives on a farm with no floors to compare her with....

Zebedeedoodah · 26/10/2007 15:50

Oh no! What if we're all a massive disappointment to each other? I know I will be - I could never live up to your expectations! (And I'm NOT going to wear a Lee t-shirt for recognition purposes when we meet)

I once went on a blind date and did a runner when I saw the guy in the flesh before he had a chance to see me.

Berrie · 26/10/2007 16:11

What are our expectations that you are worried about living up to?

Zebedeedoodah · 26/10/2007 16:35

Not sure. I won't be wearing wellies or chewing straw, and I'll even try to wipe the mud off me shoes...

Right...I'm off home to find out if I have a new window.

If I don't pop up over the weekend - and I will try - I'm happy to go along with whatever's decided on tickets and will hand over the folding stuff next week after payday

EyeOfNewtAndToeOfoggsFrog · 26/10/2007 20:09

Is anyone staying overnight? Does nobody want to share a twin room at Covent Garden Travelodge???

Berrie · 26/10/2007 21:06

Tee Hee
Binkle is staying
I might stay 'cause it strikes me that I might as well go home as go to Richmond and then dh won't have to have 2 days off work.
That wouldn't be as much fun as staying over though!

EyeOfNewtAndToeOfoggsFrog · 26/10/2007 23:02

Right. This is the mission.
5 of us,
seated in a line; next to each other
5 tickets to see Joseph (actually not that arsed about the show itself... I just want to see Lee again )
Preferably, tickets are for a matinee performance on a wednesday.
