Sounds very dangerous to me

Berrie · 19/10/2007 08:54

Oggs

binkleandflip · 19/10/2007 09:29

Oggs have a great day on the ice! I used to go regularly as a teenager but I've totally lost my nerve these days.

The play was good - the history boys - we were being quite intellectual and cultured until it leet out at 10.30 and we ended up in Blackpool drinking and nattering til one and both got told off by our repressive husbands when we got home pah!

binkleandflip · 19/10/2007 09:34

I spent my evening looking at this so not a bad night all in all

Berrie · 19/10/2007 10:00

Glad you had a good night Binkle...I really must get out more though I doubt I'd stay awake
Talking of nights out are we going to meet up or what?

binkleandflip · 19/10/2007 10:02

I think we should. I think it would be great. It would mean you staying up past nine tho Berrie

Berrie · 19/10/2007 10:49
Shock
oggsfrog · 19/10/2007 23:39

Oh, ye of little faith.......
dd fell numerous times...
dh fell occasionally...
moi, I fell not once

True, most of the time I was clinging to the side of the rink... but i'faith I fell not once .
Ha har... not an extremeley pleasant experience....but one I'm willing to partake of again
I glid, I glided, I glost like a true professional....
Honestly...dh and I could have passed for Dorville and Tean....if they were inapacitated by leglessness and inebreation (crap spelling). (Literal leglessness mind....none of this drunk business.... I mean sans legs...... no legs at all)
Gah! it's really hard to type when you have a kitten clawing it's way up your body from ankle to neck)

Oh gawd....you can tell I've hit the whisky again can't you??

Berrie · 20/10/2007 07:10

Oggs
How do you stay up so late?
What time do you get up in the morning?

Well done on the skating. I took a while to find that picture...most of them were too distressing to be funny and many invloved stretchers

Still no sign of sae...blimmin' postal strike!

Berrie · 20/10/2007 18:59

What are you all doing this evening?

Berrie · 20/10/2007 20:08

The fecking rugby is on again and you've left me all alone...

binkleandflip · 21/10/2007 00:48

Hey Berrie how goes it? I know you will be long in bed by now but just wanted you to know that you are not alone !

Night night for now

Berrie · 21/10/2007 07:35

Thanks Binkle...odd I know, but I've started to look at the time since I've been talking to you about it and it was 8.37 when I turned off the light...exactly like the other day again. I think there must be something wrong with me as I was tired all day and fell asleep in the car at lunchtime despite all the sleep.

LyraSilvertongue · 21/10/2007 10:14

Seriously Berrie, I've read somewhere that having too much sleep can be just as bad as having too little. That could be why you feel so tired. You should be aiming to have 7.5 to 8 hours a night imo. Why not try it and see if you feel any better. It would mean staying up till at least 10pm though

Berrie · 21/10/2007 14:57

Yikes! 10pm!

binkleandflip · 21/10/2007 17:20

Well rest assured tonight Berrie I will probably beat you into bed because my head is banging and I am all bleary eyed and floppy from a night chatting and squaffing at a friends last night. I am such a lightweight I'm aiming to be tucked up no later than 7 if I can because tomorrow of course sees the start of half-term (is there a 'dread' emoticon) I love spending time with dd but she's a bit full-on at the mo!

Berrie · 21/10/2007 17:51

It's half term every day in my house!

LyraSilvertongue · 21/10/2007 18:05

I've got nothing planned for half term. Help!

Berrie · 21/10/2007 18:23

I'm only having around about an hour more then Lyra

LyraSilvertongue · 21/10/2007 20:16

Are you still up Berrie? Are you any good at Scrabble? Sign up here and play me online.

Berrie · 22/10/2007 07:28

Lyra, just for you, I didn't go straight to bed and had a bath instead. I didn't turn in untill, ooo, 9pm!

oggsfrog · 22/10/2007 09:34

Helllooooooo
Blardy computer. It's taken me 21 mins to load this thread.
Is it school hols for you lot this week? Dd has just gone back today after 2 weeks hols. Hurrah. House looks like a bombsite .

How is everybody?

Berrie · 22/10/2007 09:51

Oooo exciting news! Thanks for that Oggs.
Zeb how are you getting on?
Ha! my house looks like a bombsite that a hurricane has hit! It usually does.
I rang a woman up this morning who does ironing. I could hear a baby in the background...it was enough to make me realise that rather than pay someone £15 an hour to do my ironing I just need to get off my bottom and do it. I know ! I know! Don't bother, get it out the tumbler and it's fine but it isn't, it's all crumpled, especially the cheap stuff
What did you all do this weekend? We spent yesterday in the Orchard. We burned some huge damson branches that had fallen with the weight of the fruit (made for much easier picking) and I cleared swathes of 2 metre brambles so that we could get at the apple trees with the ladder. I felt really good as usually DH does all the work while I watch the children then when he's finished he comes and does what I was trying to half do while watching the children and I still have to mind them. It's a bit irritating so by sticking to MY bramble job I felt a real sense of achievemnet. Having said that, my forearms, thighs and stomach are a mess!
Now I've got hundreds of apples. I think they are cookers so I'm a bit stumped since the freezer is full of plums, elderberries, blackberries and damsons for wine making that we never get round to!
We've got no wine bottled at the moment and were delighted to find a couple stashed in the shed on the allotment. We'd put them there ages ago to give to others people who gave us surplus fruit and veg. Yum, had that last night.
I have decided to cut our nightly intake by half this week (Will be news to DH) that means 2 cans of stella for him and one glass (large) of wine or one can of stella for me. That's probably a bit more than halved actually depending on what we are drinking but it'll do. Wish me luck!

oggsfrog · 22/10/2007 09:59

Good luck Berrie .
I'm going to try to not have a drink until the weekend.
Not a lot achieved this weekend. Dd goes riding on Sat for 3 hrs and on Sun for half an hour. It takes between half and 3/4 hr to get to the stables so thats the weekend pretty much gone.
We went to a bonfire last night with friends and drank pomegranate wine which was delicious. Home for 8.30, bath and bed.
Must get on with some housework. The kittens have spread cat litter all over the floor .

Berrie · 22/10/2007 10:06

Oh I love a good bonfire!
Unfortunatly we have built a sand pit over our bonfire spot at home so there won't be any more here.
I cannot begin to imagine getting and processing enough pommegranites to make wine.
