Oooh, great news aout the album. Can't wait. Where did you find all ths out Oggs?
Well done for staying up Berrie.

LyraSilvertongue · 22/10/2007 13:27

I forgot to say, we did go to the campsite on Saturday but didn't stay overnight. It was a fantastic place, with all the pitches in separate clearings in the woods and a campfire already set up, with wooden log seats around it. We went for a long walk through the country to a pub where we had a glass of wine/Appletise by the open fire, then headed back to our pitch to light a campfire. The boys insisted on toasting snippets of dough on sticks like they do in their 'Topsy and Tim Go Camping' book. Then we packed up and headed home to watch the rugby. We'll definitely go back next year and stay over but every weekend is booked up till September 2008.

Lee Mead album announcement

Berrie · 22/10/2007 14:55

Oooo thanks for tht Lyra!

Berrie · 22/10/2007 14:56

I'm glad that you had a nice weekend. Did you put up a tent then take it down?

It feels like a long blimmin' day today.

binkleandflip · 22/10/2007 16:35

did anyone see the advert with Lee in it - singing outside a dry cleaners? Cant remember what it was actually for but it was on BBC1 yesterday so I'm assuming perhaps children in need

Berrie · 22/10/2007 17:08

No didn't. Now there is something to look forward to!

Berrie · 23/10/2007 07:59

Morning all!
How are we today?
What are you all up to?

I have a thrilling day ahead. I'm going to the Doctor's shortly, then I've to wait in for the shopping delivery. Whilst doing this I will try to attempt to muck out upstairs but dd is teething and super whingy so we'll see. Once the shopping has arrived I need to take something back to mothercare as yesterday ike a div, I bought the wrong size by a year.

Beat that for fun!?

Berrie · 23/10/2007 09:33

So...went to Dr for some more happy pills. It's always in the bck of your head that they are making sure that you are not too mental to look after your children so when dd was making a fuss I took hold of her, she pulled away and I made her fall on her face and she proceeded to scream throughout the rest of the consultation.
We got to the chemist and ds and then dd ran round and round to many disapproving cutsomer's disgust. I sat ds down for not stopping, where he shouted the theme to Rory the Racing Car at the top of his voice. I looked round and dd had the top off a tub of vaseline and had taken a great gloop out of it. Wishing it had been something more useful she'd dipped into but feeling grateful that it wasn't the enormous pot, I took it to the counter and paid with the paltry selection of coins I had left. Meanwhile dd had the top off the enormous pot of vaseline and was waving around another great glob. Now holding a screaming dd I counted out another lot of change while the collected miserable bastards lokked on smilelessly.
Happy Days!

LyraSilvertongue · 23/10/2007 10:10

Sorry to laugh at your misfortune but the Vaseline incident made me chuckle. Hope your day gets better.

Berrie · 23/10/2007 10:20

Yes Lyra, ho ho ho!

binkleandflip · 23/10/2007 11:05

Oh dear Berrie, sorry you're having a bit of a downer at the mo

Berrie · 23/10/2007 11:12

Nah I'm ok Binkle!
This'll make you laugh...a card came from the postie, it says that the sender of something addressed to Berrie didn't pay full postage and if I pay £1.06 they'll send it to me. 6p unpaid and £1 handling fee.
Must be Oggs!

Zebedeedoodah · 23/10/2007 12:51

Phew! I'm back. Did you miss me?

My head finally exploded and I've been more or less in bed since Thursday, with minor detours for DS having a 'post viral rash'. But I've bravely made it back to my desk (sniff, sniff).

So, how the devil are you all and what have I missed? Apart from Berrie's morning, which just sounds like a riot! Would you like us to think of some uses for that excess of vaseline you now have?

Berrie · 23/10/2007 12:59

Oh please do Zebble!
Sorry to hear you've been unwell!

Berrie · 23/10/2007 13:01

Bet you can't think of anything sensible!

Zebedeedoodah · 23/10/2007 13:04

Hmmm.......my mind is wandering off into a VERY inappropriate daydream involving glisteninig pecs. Cough. Cough. It must be the happy pills (which are still working ).

But don't worry Berrie, I might have been 'a bit poorly', but DH was far far worse, natch. In fact, I'm surprised he pulled through at all.

Berrie · 23/10/2007 13:45

I think I'm supposed to sat 'Men!' at this point but I'm afraid I'm the feeble one in this house

Berrie · 23/10/2007 14:06

say not sat

binkleandflip · 23/10/2007 14:25

Lee is in heat today in a photo with his 'double' for the video for 'gonna make you a star' . Looks nothing like him from the front and about a foot taller from behind

Zebedeedoodah · 23/10/2007 15:20

Anyone else worried about the dubious-ness of that song?!

binkleandflip · 23/10/2007 15:41

actually, he probably looks about a foot taller from the front too but perhaps her was standing on a box for the frontal photo?

Anway, yes agree dodgy song altough the David Essex is clearly Lee's actual spiritual father because they do have a similiar look lets face it.

Berrie · 23/10/2007 16:00

I don't understand it myself. He was clearly better at the meaner more dramatic songs. The jolly one he did on the show was the weakest for me. Still, maybe they want to sell to the kiddies.

Zebedeedoodah · 23/10/2007 16:13

Maybe they've decided that his core fan-base is a 45-plus erstwhile David Essex fan? All he needs is the earring and I'm running for the hills!

Berrie · 23/10/2007 17:24

Ah, Dierdre Barlow types you mean?
