Apologies Binkle you were right about the ginseng then! It was horrible actually and I have disgusted myself.
From tomorrow I am going to treat my body with more respect. No booze. No chocolate. MrsS the more the merrier.

binkleandflip · 17/10/2007 10:57

I've been going bout 8 weeks now I think. NO they dont do classes - they do the session one on one but it generally goes like this

12 minutes treadmill
12 minutes cross trainer
10 various weights interpersed with lunges and squats (I hate him by this point)
10 minutes ab crunches and strengthening exercises - stretching yoga-style etc
10 minutes boxing or rowing
5 minute cool down on bike

No telly. No breaks.

It better be blinking working!

binkleandflip · 17/10/2007 11:00

sorry for the big "NO" there, finger got stuck on caps

Berrie · 17/10/2007 11:11

Right better put my money where my mouth is and prepare to walk up to preschool.

Zebedeedoodah · 17/10/2007 11:46

I promise, I promise, I'm going up to the gym at lunchtimes once my head no longer feels like it's going to fall off or explode.
I'm definitely on the no booze pact, although surely glucose is GOOD sugar , it's a posh word after all.

Sorry I keep disappearing - our IT dept has a new ruse of blocking your web access when it feels you've been 'surfing' too long. Ha! It's called RESEARCH!

Berrie · 17/10/2007 12:36

at IT department...anyone would think you spend far too long on here when you are supposed to be working!
Well 1/2 and hour there, half and hour back...Pah who needs the gym!

Zebedeedoodah · 17/10/2007 13:46

Moi? Asif!

binkleandflip · 17/10/2007 14:42

OK! I NEED SOME URGENT ADVICE ABOUT FACEBOOK!!

Basically, when you look at someone's profile, do they know you have looked at it?

Berrie · 17/10/2007 15:08

Don't think so but can't be sure. In fact, ignore me, I know very little!

Zebedeedoodah · 17/10/2007 15:09

Uh-oh! Who have you been stalking? I think the answer is no, but our facebook expert is in a meeting. I'll ask her when she comes back......

Berrie · 17/10/2007 15:13

My friend had a caesarean today. I've not heard anything but I want to take round a curry that I've made to help out a bit. Her Mum will be there with her ds and her dh may or may not be back. Do you think that's alright? I don't want them to think I'm prying. (I only really know her)

Zebedeedoodah · 17/10/2007 15:28

Your friend's not back home already?! I'd take the curry round, at the very least you could just dump it and run, and tell the mother to stick it in the freezer if she's already cooked dinner. And I assume the DS knows you?

I think it's a very nice thing to do. I was half joking with DH that I should send my SIL ready meals as a present as she's just had a ceasarian too.

Zebedeedoodah · 17/10/2007 15:48

Panic over Binkle, The Expert says they can't tell if you've been looking. She does want to know who you're stalking though

Berrie · 17/10/2007 15:53

Oh ec! I went round and the door was slightly ajar. I knocked and rang and knocked and rang and no-one came so I popped it inside the door. Now I'm thinking it really ought to go in the fridge. It had ice packs round it but it was still a little warm...no-one is answering the phone...should I go back? I can't text my friend in hospital...she's just had a baby...I'm wondering if something is wrong...you wouldn't leave the door open with a toddler about.
No she's not back..I'd made a curry for dh's birthday so I made double but there is no room in our freezer to store it.

Berrie · 17/10/2007 16:05

Oh gawd...have sent a text.

Berrie · 17/10/2007 16:08

I'm such a div...

Berrie · 17/10/2007 16:10

Should I go back and bang on the door?

Zebedeedoodah · 17/10/2007 16:36

Can't you just phone them? Otherwise, I would go round again and shove it in the fridge and leave a note on the side for them. If they've been at the hospital all day, they'll probably be grateful for it.

Berrie · 17/10/2007 17:18

All sorted...baby boy aaaahhh!

binkleandflip · 17/10/2007 18:20

Aw congrats to Berrie's mate!

Thanks for facebook advice - wasnt really stalking as such, well, low-level perhaps but nothing sinister.

I've deactivated my account now anyway as I was getting ridiculously side-tracked by it when a month ago I was existing quite happily without it. Now if only I could bring myself to do the same with Mumsnet.......kidding

Berrie · 17/10/2007 18:34

don't even joke about it!

Berrie · 17/10/2007 19:42

So how are we doing this evening comrades? Look at the time and not a drop has passed my lips...yet

binkleandflip · 17/10/2007 19:44

Just put dd to bed, now I'm contemplating housework in my head but bodily I'm sat here tapping away..

oggsfrog · 17/10/2007 20:39

Pah! Housework at this time of night
I'm waiting for dh to finish in the bath so I can get in.

Binkle, I do low-carbing. In the first week I always tend to drop a lot but most of it is fluid. My bloating goes right down. Then I aim for about 1-2lbs a week. I tend to forget to drink enough water, and often find it's mid-afternoon before I feel hungry which isn't good.
I really need to drop at least another 2 stone.

I will join the no mid-week drinking pact......but not tonight . I've got my book ready for my bath and will be having a large small whisky while I read and soak

binkleandflip · 17/10/2007 20:52

whisky in the bath - how decadent!
you're a class act oggs and no mistake

I dont drink in the bath since I dropped a glass of pernod and blackcurrant in it and came out purple before a night out - true story - it slipped out of my hand !! It was some time ago I might add, I'm much more sophisticated than pernod and black nowadays!

I know low-carbing works well, I'm just really bad at eating well on low-carb IYSWIM - like I'll just eat cheese and bacon and stuff instead of salad and veg etc..

I've just e-mailed the hypnolady who I lost weight with last time to see if I can do a course - it worked really well for me last time and seemed to give my self-esteem a real boost which wouldn't go amiss
