Paddlechick666 · 15/09/2007 09:57

morning all, well i had a full on row with nutter neighbours at 4:30am again this morning.

honestly, it's like the gaza strip on my street sometimes.

thursday night it was psycho woman over the road and last night it was psycho next door.

then there's cars coming and going at all hours. one of my neighbours leaves about 5ish and clearly has some sort of car door slamming OCD. there's no voices just a door/boot slamming about 5 times!

ooh, i just heard that Asda have got a huge load of savings on wine. get yerselves down there apparently WolfBlass and Brown Brothers are £3 or something.

off to pick up dd and parents have asked me to get a dozen of each on my way!

foxcub · 15/09/2007 10:31

Hi everyone

Glad you got your M back Steppie

Paddle I bet you will be glad to move won't you? How is the purchase going?

Yingers that's the one with Dustin H isn't it? What is the story (in two sentences) - can't remember if I've seen it or not....I always see films at least 5 years after they are released. Glad school run is better - I love walking to school - it really wakes me up in the morning.

sfx - any more "beautiful poos" ?

sfxmum · 15/09/2007 11:10

hello everyone

the bikers seem to have scared off the Saturday strollers leaving it free for joggers and dog walkers BLISS
hate dodging people who don't know the proper way to walk down the path!dh just calls me weirdo

think Cinderella man is with Russell Crowe

Foxie oh yes and she has a few more choice adjectivesand
'mummy you are beautiful but not as beautiful as me'

slng - I have been trying for ages to get my exercise groove back and really only over the last month have I been jogging regularly.

paddle -neighbours from hell, I never quite get why they fell the need to talk very loudly about some inane drunken subject at 3am

hope you all have a nice weekend

foxcub · 15/09/2007 12:11

sfx - do you mean "pavement shufflers"? People who walk across the pavement in a wide line, at the very slowest pace, so no one can pass and seem completely oblivious to the fact that other humans also use the same foopath?

sfxmum · 15/09/2007 13:26

flipping worst by the river, it gets narrow and they don't bloody well stick to one side

that's why I rather go early in the morning

Yingers74 · 15/09/2007 20:16

yes it is the one with russell crowe and the renee zellwinger! He is a boxer who has fallen on hard times with his family during the great depression but makes a successful come back to win the world title! It is a true story and the hardships faced during the depression make me grateful that we have a social security system in this country. Great acting.

mellow2 · 16/09/2007 07:47

Hello everyone,

I'm just coming out of a bad cold. I hope no one else is ill.

slng,
I use to buy my tickets online from ebookers and the like. But these days I buy direct from Malaysian Airlines as they have the cheapest tickets. You can buy online or through their offices in Gloucester Road. The prices can be cheaper through booking with their offices so I always ring to find out if I can get a better deal, They do charge a 3% credit card surcharge if you don't buy online.

foxcub · 16/09/2007 11:46

Hi everyone

I would have loved to have joined the meet at Kew this monring but logisticaly it wasn't possible, what with church, Monti's feeds etc

Hope you had a nice ride on the train

We went to hang out yesterday near the Hell's Angel's funeral. It was truly amazing - seeing Hell's Angel's buying their lunch in M&S in Kew Retail Park was quite surreal. There was a delicious air of lawlessness in the air after the funeral, as thousands of bikers revved up and road off down the roads in convoy, many withough crash helments - loads on fantastic suped up bikes and many having travelled from all over Eaurope. A day to remember

They were all very polite and helped me with the buggy, and DS1 was very impressed by all the fabulous bikes

Yingers I might get that film out on DVD - sounds good

rosmerta · 16/09/2007 13:16

Hi all, I'm back! Taken me a couple of days to recover, not really been on holiday with ds before so not very relaxing!

Does anyone fancy giving me an update of the last week or do I need to trawl through it all?!

sfxmum · 16/09/2007 18:19

hi Ros welcome back.

foxie dd was quite impressed by the policemen, it's a phase.

hope you are all well

dd has been sleeping with no nappy, no accidents she is well chuffed

SushiMummy · 17/09/2007 08:55

Morning all.

So sorry we couldn't make it to KG on Sunday. DS had a funny tummy (is alright now) and we have visitors from Japan so bit hectic (6 people sleeping in a two bed house atm).

Mellow, hope you get better soon.

Ros, welcome back!

sfx and mini-sfx, well done!

Hope everyone is well.

Off to Inverness on Wednesday, apparently it's really freezing (minus 4?!) up there!

rosmerta · 17/09/2007 09:18

morning all,

Mellow - hope you get better soon!

Well done to minisfx!

I think I'm going to take ds to Lollipop this morning, probably get there around 10.30-ish, if anyone would like to join us.

Kewcumber · 17/09/2007 09:28

Kewcumber · 17/09/2007 09:46

Think this is being released to the press today so I can tell everyone. My terrible spammy internet company (which everyone was winding me up about last year) has just had a £1,000,000 winner!

Yes someone actually won £1,000,000 playing one of our free games. Can you beleive it? Bitch.

Thankfully it is covered by our insurance policy.

OP posts:
SushiMummy · 17/09/2007 10:55

what?! someone won £1,000,000 and I didn't know about the game?

NOT FAIR!!!!!

BTW, It's not you, is it, QC?

Kewcumber · 17/09/2007 12:11

sadly employees of the company are not eligible for the top prize

OP posts:
rosmerta · 17/09/2007 12:44

What's the company KC? It's not the Tomobola one is it? Oh, and we were in Portugal for a family holiday (my parents & brother). I haven't forgotten that you asked me about the Wednesday thing so next time I'll speak to Jo I'll ask her.

Kewcumber · 17/09/2007 13:24

No the prize was won on TheDailyDraw (which is one of our many high quality games...)

ahving dragged DS back from Kaz, the IOW is teh furthest I will go with him for a while. I think overseas holidays with a toddler are over-rated!

OP posts:
sfxmum · 17/09/2007 13:36

hello all

KC with you on that one the idea of a plane journey with a small child really puts me off, come to think of that any plane journey these days is a no no for me.

but I would like to have the funds to take child/ children on a year off around the world when they are old enough to appreciate and young enough not to mind going with us, I can dream.

dd not keen on going out today I am hitching to at least go for a walk

Kewcumber · 17/09/2007 13:50

my parents dragged us off to darkest Africa when we were 3, 7 and 8 when the furthest my mum had been was Wales and Zambia was a strange and foreign place with flights once a week. Does that count?

OP posts:
rosmerta · 17/09/2007 13:54

Have to admit we're thinking about not doing a holiday next year just because its such hard work. The flights aren't too bad as long as they sleep but ds would get bored very easily if we didn't go to the beach or something!

If we do have a holiday I know dh is keen to find a place with a kids club but I'm not too sure, think ds would still be too young to leave with people he and we don't know!

sfxmum · 17/09/2007 13:55

well it's partly due to our army life when we were children partly because I loved inter rail and also I think if you take it slowly and get to spend some proper time in each place it would be nice.

sfxmum · 17/09/2007 13:58

dd seems to be easily amused she likes exercise lots activity but she can also spend ages doing puzzles, colouring or playing on laptop independently just as long as I offer joint activities regularly.

btw dusting and folding laundry also counts
