hi everyone

sushi sorry it turned out to be a fake even if a good one, hope you get your cash back.

we took dd to NHM and she had a head full of dinosaurs came home clutching a T-Rex

the little monkey fell asleep on the way home so I guess its late dinner and late bed.

cov - I am impressed. talking of Christmas I asked dh if we are due at his parents again but he is refusing to discuss it until November

2Cute · 08/09/2007 18:34

Sfx - that means you will be spending Christmas with them! Sorry.

Hope I haven't missed you Ros. Have a fantastic holiday.

Sorry about the bag Sushi. We ordered a Man Utd shirt for my brother last Christmas and the guy never sent it. We received a letter from the police a few months back saying he had conned more than 20 ppl so he has been charged.

Phew, I was worried I missed Nanou's leaving do as wasn't up to going out last night. I'm definately up for a rescheduled date though.

Yingers - I'm on facebook too. It's great isn't it?!

SushiMummy · 08/09/2007 18:41

Sorry to keep going on about my fake bag and I promise this is my last rant.

The seller changed her ebay name, she made her feedback unreadable by making herself "private" and she even asked for my bank details (which of course I denied) as she doesn't want to do it through paypal. She's deffo a professional criminal.

foxcub · 08/09/2007 19:45

Sushi can you report her to anyone?

Paddlechick666 · 08/09/2007 19:53

evening all, quick bit of advice/info if you can.

just put dd to bed and she started coughing a bit. i went back in and it began to sound a bit more like a vomit was on it's way.

got her into the bathroom where she coughed again and had a minor spew onto the floor. she wasn't too upset, stripped her sleeping bag off and stood her over the loo.

she didn't spew again and was quite delighted with sticking her head down the loo and fake coughing!

no temp and back in bed and asleep now, no more coughing.

will she wake up if she's sick again d'you think? am petrified she'll roll on her back and choke.

tmi but the vomit was weird, she'd had spag bol for tea but it was more like yoghurt and had raisins in that she ate about 2pm!

d'you think it's just a one off, cough induced vom?

foxcub · 08/09/2007 20:26

OMG do you think she caught something off my DD last week (and Kew's DS possibly could have caught it). Remember my DD was sick?

If I were you I'd keep checking her and ensure she's lying on her side so she can't choke on it. Perhaps put her in your bed with a towel under her?

If its the same thing as my DD, she just vomited a mini vomit once, just after food and didn't appear ill at all.

SushiMummy · 08/09/2007 20:41

Oh no! Think DS has the same bug. He's been coughing non stop all day today but not been sick. I put a blanket under the cot matress just in case. Hope all our DC will be better soon.

Paddlechick666 · 08/09/2007 21:21

well, she slept peacefully for about half an hour then the coughing started again.

she won't drink anything and is soo tired but the coughing is just waking her again and again.

have brought her downstairs and put curious george on for now but looks like she'll be in with me tonight then!

she's actually so cute, lying on her sofa tucked in with her blankie watching telly! all underpinned with the cotsaver sheet i've only ever used in these scenarios!

Paddlechick666 · 08/09/2007 21:22

guess i'll be pouring that glass of wine back into the bottle now then

stepfordwife · 08/09/2007 21:46

paddle..why are you pouring that glass of wine back into the bottle?
does dd prefer a g & t?

seriously, hope the cherub's ok. dd often gets sick from coughing or it's just a one-off vomit-fest.

but, yes, good idea to keep her in bed with you tonight. i do that with all the kids 9not at the same time) if they've been throwing up....make sure plenty of towels on standby, tho.
wearing a pac-a-mac is probably a good precaution, TOO.
hope you both get a good night's sleep,

ComeOVeneer · 08/09/2007 21:48

Hope dd feels better soon. It breaks my hearthen they are vomitting as at that age they have no idea what is going on and seem to be absolutely terrified by it.

stepfordwife · 08/09/2007 21:50

hello cov
yes, you are far more deserving of my name than i am!
makes me feel tired just reading what you've achieved today AND you've got jet-lag!

ComeOVeneer · 08/09/2007 21:53

LOL, it is probably because I have jetlag. My problem is once I decide to do something, I get on a roll, then go ott. It tends to be all or nothing with me.

ComeOVeneer · 08/09/2007 21:55

That remindsme. Are we all still on for the 13th of October? Are we making it Nanou's leaving do? And, finally, who is vegetarian, has allergies or food preferences etc?

Bubble99 · 08/09/2007 22:04

Wotcha, COV.

And evening all.

COV. I saw one of your posts a couple of nights ago and was at your MIL's comment to you...

How did you respond???!!!

If I'm being too nosey, please feel free to tell me to bog off.

ComeOVeneer · 08/09/2007 22:18

Remind me, which of her fabulous comments you are referring to ?

ComeOVeneer · 08/09/2007 22:19

Bubble do you fancy meeting us all on the 13th Oct at mine? Iam cooking and everyone is bringing vino etc.

Bubble99 · 08/09/2007 22:21

ComeOVeneer · 08/09/2007 22:25

oh, i'm a vegetarian..
but not a fussy one

mellow2 · 09/09/2007 07:11

Hello everyone,

Hope you're all well. Work's manic so it doesn't leave me much time to "chat".

Sushi,
I'm really sorry to hear that your bag is fake. .

E-bay has really strict procedures in place against people who sell fakes. They gave me a really hard time when I tried to sell a pair of designer boots a while ago because I was new to E-bay (not because they were fake). They were used and genuine.

Paddle,
I hope dd is feeling better.

We're off to ILs' ruby wedding anniversary today so that leaves me even less time this weekend to catch up on bills and laundry.

Paddlechick666 · 09/09/2007 08:06

morning all

well i tried to bring dd to bed with me but she was far too wriggly, wouldn't settle down and wanted to play hidey under the duvet!

so about 10:30ish she went back in her own bed and slept okay.

i, of course, didn't sleep okay at all

she woke up at 7am on the button and seems fine this morning.

sfxmum · 09/09/2007 12:12

hello all

paddle - glad Lo seems ok, vomiting is just so distressing.

cov - not fussynothing worst than a former strict vegan

mellow - nice to see you, hope things settle.

here we are deep in toddler nightmares, she has gone through this before and it seems, we are up for another period of screaming and distressed child, she spend about 2hrs waking up screaming and climbing over me saying 'get me out get me out' poor poppet it is just so hard to settle when this happens.
good thing is she wakes up bright as a button with no memory of all the fuss
