Hello, I've posted a message on the local site for Brighton but now found this section on the topic list, so you may see a similiar message elsewhere - sorry just learning about mumsnet.
Anyway, I recently moved to Shoreham with my husband and daughter who will be 3 at the end of September. I absolutely love it here and would now like to get to know some other mums in the area. Let me know if you are local to me and would like to meet up - playground, coffee etc ..... Look forward to hearing from you

Hi Farmerted, glad you had good weather in Wales. Yes, we are around on Friday and would love to meet up. Do you fancy another Buckingham Park meet or somewhere else perhaps? Will check out the Brighton invite from Mabs ... sounds interesting!

Yes but preggers, who needs the downs when you've got the whole of Wales!!

Snuffle - shame you can't make it on Friday - I'm sure we'll get to meet one day soon!

SunnySmiles · 11/10/2007 15:01

Hi Preggers - nice to hear we are bringing back happy memories for you! Hope Wales is providing more of the same ....
As for the meet up tomorrow morning, shall we just go for Buckingham park again as the weather looks good. Guess we'll have to put our thinking caps on a bit more during the colder months!
Snuffle - sorry you can't join us. Hope all is well and hope to see you again soon.

snuffle · 12/10/2007 16:05

Farmerted - only part time, 2 days a week, tues & thurs but friday mornings is clinic day, although this morning I had the dentist so couldn't join you guys. You are in Lancing aren't you??? maybe we could arrange to meet sometime other then fridays, and anyone else if they are free... would say its a lovely walk to widewater but the weathers not been very nice lately for that! otherwise can always feed the ducks at Brooklands??

SunnySmiles · 14/10/2007 20:12

Ahhh - didn't know you could feed the ducks at Brooklands. Do you have to pay to go in? I'm working now for the next two weeks - Mon to Fri, so won't be around much. I'm going to Boogie babies at Jubilee Library on Thursday this week and will be in St Anne's Wells Park in Brighton whenever the weather is nice, so let me know if anyone happens to be in Brighton. See you all soon hopefully though

herbiemom · 16/10/2007 11:50

Brooklands is free to go in - we went last week actually and they are now doing pony rides as well (you do have to pay for these though). It would be a good place to meet up, there's a little cafe there, play area and train rides too.

Hope to see you all soon.

SunnySmiles · 16/10/2007 19:41

Sounds great - would love to try that sometime! Thanks for letting me know.

Custenstein - thanks for your message. A couple of us are thinking of coming along for a drink or two on the 15th Dec. I just need to check diaries with my husband.

I'm going away (oop North) for the weekend on Friday so can't make it, I'm afraid. I've got a horrible feeling I've got to work the following Friday too.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunny weather. See you soon.

herbiemom · 24/10/2007 16:32

Complete change of plan for the weekend so I will be around on Friday if anyone's meeting up. I'd be happy to meet at Brooklands if the weather's ok.

MABS · 24/10/2007 17:48

hope to meet some of you at the Brighton Xmas do.

SunnySmiles · 24/10/2007 21:48

Oh No Herbiemom - no girly weekend away?!?!? Hope its for good reasons. I'm around Friday and have Farmerted's mobile number, so will text her to let her know we are meeting up. Shall we say 10.30 at Brooklands then? Weather permitting of course. Would slightly earlier be better for you after school run? Just say if it is. As I haven't been before - is there a good meeting point?
Snuffle - are you free this week?
MABs thanks for the Christmas invite - will come back to you once I've checked diaries with my hubby etc. but would love to come along for a couple of drinks if I can.

OP posts:
SunnySmiles · 25/10/2007 19:46

DOH - Just realised that I don't have a car tomorrow, so getting to Brooklands could be tricky! Unless you know the bus route?? If ok with you - can we swap back to either Buckingham or Toast by the Coast maybe? Thank you and sorry for the confusion. I've let my brother borrow our car this week and totally forget?!

OP posts:
herbiemom · 25/10/2007 21:02

It's ok - the girly weekend away was last weekend and was blissful.

It's half-term this week so I'll have both the boys - I'm not sure how long I can keep them both sitting sensibly if the weather's too soggy for the park and we end up at Toast. It may have to be a quick catch-up!

You never know, it might be drier tomorrow - I'll check on here in the morning.

I doubt I'll be able to get to the Brighton Xmas do as I've got another 'mums only' Xmas do the following week and DP may not be too chuffed if I arrange another one.

Anyway, hope to see Sunnysmiles and Farmerted tomorrow.

farmerted · 25/10/2007 21:29

Hi girls, would love to meet up but prefer Shoreham as going to visit a friend there sometime in the morning - meeting a bit earlier might be better for me. Anyway, you choose a time and place and I will try and fit in. Will text you tomorrow SS.

Hello to Snuffle, sorry haven't been around to reply. If you can't make tomorrow then lets meet up in Lancing - I'm busy with work next week but how does the following week sound? We could take the sea air!
