Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

mellow2 · 11/08/2007 08:56

Sorry, oxo. I can't help with nannies. either.

Foxie, QC, and Sushi,
I've just e-mailed you information about where to park.

foxcub · 11/08/2007 10:03

2cute - a rather glamorous day!!! have you a Merc then?

Kewcumber · 11/08/2007 13:11

thanks for the Pimms mellow, lovely to meet your DH and see your flat [nosey emoticon] Sorry I had to run but I only had enough coins for 50 mins on the meter.

mellow2 · 11/08/2007 14:06

You're welcome, QC. Right, we're off food shopping when dd wakes up. She's all tired out from her visitors, poor thing.

Foxie,
Dd left her play mobile here. I'll bring it with me next time we meet.

SushiMummy · 11/08/2007 14:19

Hi all.

Thanks, Mellow for having us and sorry DS ate most of the strawberries. It was very nice to meet your DH, too.

It's lovely to see you, QC, Ros and Foxie&cubs.

Thanks for the yummy products and I think it's already working on my eczema - much less itchy now!

sfxmum · 11/08/2007 15:40

hello everyone

xoxo- sorry saw plea but no nanny can't help, also thanks for offer it got sorted in the end

mellow et al seem you all had a great time, must invite self at some point to sample goodies
also think MIL would love one of those bags for Christmas.

guest are flying out tomorrow from Manchester so they have left. it was actually great to have them around i had forgotten just how much we have in common and how much we actually like them

dd had a great time with the kids but is now with an awful streaming cold so has not been sleeping well, dh has gone out with her so i can have a rest. at least she is a cheerful patient.

hope you are well enjoying the weekend.

oh yes and dd is now obsessed with babies in tummies since meeting one of our friend who is 7m pregnant

foxcub · 11/08/2007 17:23

sfx lets hope its not a life long obsession!

Mellow - lovely home you have - what a fab spot! Thanks for the Pimms and yummy samples

Paddle - lovely to see you earlier - oh I feel so hot and sweaty right now. I have left DS1 holding DS2 and have sneaked upstairs

mellow2 · 11/08/2007 19:08

Sfx,
Feel free to come whenever you like. I'm busy next week but available week after next.

I'm getting more new bags in September/October. I'll let you know when they arrive.

Foxie,
Dd is besotted with your dd's toy mobile. Where did you get it? I'd like to get her one.

mellow2 · 11/08/2007 19:12

For those of you with dds, can you tell me why dd is obsessed with draping herself with leads?

One day she's going to strangle herself with the leads she winds round her neck.

What is she after? A necklace?

Kewcumber · 11/08/2007 19:18

don't worry mellow DS does this too. I think its a dressing up thing

SushiMummy · 11/08/2007 19:28

Evening all.

DS has had a funny tummy but seems alright apart from three nappy changes in 30 minutes! Maybe all the strawberries he had, such a greedy boy!

foxcub · 11/08/2007 21:47

Sushi - hope your DS is Ok - it could well be the strawbs.

Kew - DS1 was asking where your DS was today!

DD said to me earlier: "here are some flowers mummy, for when you get married [???]. Daddy can hold DS2 and you can choose who you want to get married to"

!

sfxmum · 11/08/2007 22:06

funnily enough dd was talking about gherkin today saying 'he isn't a baby anymore is he mummy?'
not quite sure what brought him to mind just as she was settling to sleep.

foxie LOL at dd maybe she just wants to dress you up

dd has a cough now adding to the snot so that will be another night with not much sleep for both of us

sushi - hope ds tummy settles lots of berries will do that to you

Kewcumber · 11/08/2007 22:08

so who are you choosing Foxie?

I think I'd choose Brad Pitt cos technically he's not already married. Oops but you are, so you can't have him. Mine, all mine.....

sfxmum · 11/08/2007 22:18

no not Brad nor George they are not aging well at all

foxcub · 11/08/2007 22:38

Actually I chose my future husband some months ago. Here is a picture of us together:

mellow2 · 12/08/2007 07:47

Sushi,
Sorry to hear that ds has tummy trouble. Dd had too much fruits as well. It showed in her nappy. She wouldn't eat her dinner and then wouldn't go to bed because she was hungry.

Sfx,
Sorry to hear dd is ill.

SushiMummy · 12/08/2007 08:23

DS much better, thanks all. He had three more loose nappies last night but slept OK and no more funny tummy this morning (so far, so good). He's full of beans now!

sfx, I know your DD is a big fun of Thomas the Tank Engine. We are taking DS to this next weekend. Have you ever been to Day Out with Thomas & his friends? Any comments/advice would be much appreciated. TIA.

Have a lovely day, all.

SushiMummy · 12/08/2007 08:28

sfx, hope DD and you slept well. How is she this morning?

Mellow, I don't suppose we could use the yummy products on DS? He's got some baby eczema on his legs.

mellow2 · 12/08/2007 09:03

Yes, you can Sushi, I use the butter cream salve on dd for nappy rash and dry patches and the body lotion as an occasional moisturiser.

All the Suki products are safe for nursing moms and babies.

Btw, did you ever find out if the nickname Suki has been taken on Mumsnet? I think it would really suit you.

SushiMummy · 12/08/2007 10:02

Mellow, thanks for the advice! I'll put some on his legs after bath tonight.

There are a few Japanese words that some MNers use for thier nicknames. I think it's nice.

SushiMummy · 12/08/2007 10:06

No, don't think Suki is taken up, yet. I'll have a think.

Paddlechick666 · 12/08/2007 10:17

hi all

anyone around today? have a desperate need to get out the house!

foxie, thanks for letting us visit yesterday. ds1 is getting so tall now! sorry dd was a bit whingy, she's got very clingy recently. thanks for the clothes too.

just packed up a load of stuff for GOSH as they're collecting around here on weds.

Kew, am of to Kew Beach on Tuesday with a couple of friends their bumps and 1 dd. Welcome to join us if you'd like.

rosmerta · 12/08/2007 10:19

morning all

Mellow, thanks for yesterday, the salve is definitely working on the excema, not as itchy!

Ds has just ruined my phone by plonking in to a glass of orange juice! I don't know whether I'm mad at myself for not keeping a closer eye on him or for dh who didn't tidy up as I asked him to!

If anyone's interested, the London Mela is on at Gunnersbury Park today

mellow2 · 12/08/2007 10:34

Ros,
I'm glad the salve is working. If you can, try not to get any body wash or bath products on it as they contain detergents that irritate the skin.

Sushi,
I'm glad it's working for you too. I found that it takes about 3 days for the eczema to go down on my neck unless I ate something that would cause a flare up again.
