Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

it's lovely isn;t it. Probably see some of you at Kew today

Paddlechick666 · 04/08/2007 09:14

morning all.

i am having a cleaning frenzy despite supposedly being in Kingston by now to buy wedding gift!

bloody neighbours had me awake half the night again - seriously going round there later to complain.

am seriously seriously missing dd, i don't like it here without her!

ah well, at least the kitchen is spotless.

wedding at 3pm in central london where 28c is forecast. Kew will be mobbed but I know where I'd rather be.

oh and quick update, my buyer hasn't even sorted out a survey yet. apologises but apparently has been a "bit busy at work" and her boss is now on holiday so can't confirm pay details till week after next.

i accepted her offer 7th June FFS! i knew HA re-sale would be slower than usual but my buyer is making it even worse - and i was very clear about staying on top of things to push the sale thru as quickly as poss.

bloody

my purchase survey is being done next week - 3 weeks after my offer.

grrrr!

stepfordwife · 04/08/2007 10:39

morning all
how you all diddling?
kew, sushi, foxie? was aiming to catch up with you at kew beach (sounds bizarre), but a neighbour's son has pitched up to play, so will be heading out later now.

going to library and may have a look at what's going on at the rec, foxie. suspect it'll be about two stalls a la fetes in father ted (remember when i was a child used to wondr why fetes were called field days in ireland...then sussed becuase that's aut all there was...a field) but things have moved on (a bit) now from my childhood many light years ago.

have a fab day, everyone

paddle, you're wearing a dress to the wedding
i wore a dress yesterday and i wasn't even going to a wedding/court/getting married myself
enjoy
i always get hideously drubk at weddings (doesn't take much, mind you) for some reason. except my own. but i was nearly 7 months pregnant.

PMSL at your forecast for the North Sheen Rec Fun Day Steppy - thats exactly how I envisage it being to??

Why are Fun days so un-fun? I usually stand on the sidelines hissing, hurry up kids, Mummy wants to go home in a minute!

We all got up late and DS2 is about to have a sleep now, then a feed, etc etc so it will be later if we go to Kew Beach.

Steppy/Kew - wanna text me if you head down there later?

Sushi - have texted you

I have a very sore right nip, so a bit reluctant to go out, but I think the Dcs would love Kew Beach today

Paddlechick666 · 04/08/2007 12:15

haha! i will take pics of myself looking utterly stunning of course!

bit apprehensive about going on my own but will have other friends there. not overjoyed about schlepping up to marylebone on the tube in all my finery tho!

oh and i went out on thursday night and got sincerely hammered so i'm not planning to get anything more than tiddly today.

anyways, i rather think i'll be up at the crack of dawn again tomorrow and tanking it up to Oxfordshire to see the gorgeous girl - and eat a lovely sunday roast! yum!

Kingston was very pleasant today, I always forget how nice it is. the new H&M is quite good altho not hugely stocked on the kids front.

have fun at the beach kids.

foxcub · 04/08/2007 12:47

Paddle - its so frustrating isn't it???

Kew - where R U???

Steppy/Kew - I may not make Kew Beach today (sore nips dogging me) - do you fancing coming over to play in the paddling pool later instead? Text/call if you do

Kewcumber · 04/08/2007 13:02

no mobile foxie - and I'm at home now (DS napping) do you want to meet post nap?

foxcub · 04/08/2007 14:32

Hi Kew - yes but just popping out to Sainsbury's now for some supplies. How about 4pm - Ds can have a splash in our paddling pool with the Dcs

rosmerta · 04/08/2007 14:44

Hi all, lovely day

Kew & Sushi - nice to bump into you at Kew beach! Ds is now having a nap. Dh has gone off to buy some food and we're going back to Kew later to have a picnic.

Enjoy the wedding paddle.

xoxo · 04/08/2007 17:51

forget who was looking for a nanny share (stary night?) but I know someone who lives in St Mags who is looking for 2 days a week, so maybe , if you are looking for 3 days, you could share?

sfxmum · 04/08/2007 18:37

have also been around kew today with grumpy dh in toe, felt like ditching him and head for the beach

paddle hope you have fab time good to know H&M in kingston does kids stuff now.

off to cook a late dinner dd very awake after late nap

SushiMummy · 04/08/2007 19:37

Evening all. Phew, what a scorcher! Spent nearly 7 hours at Kew beach today. It was lovely to meet you Ros, I wasn't expecting to meet you there so it was a lovely surprise. Great to see you QC and gherkin-kun. I bet he had a long nap after all the running.

Foxie, thanks for the text and sorry I didn't reply straight away - I didn't notice it till late (too busy running after DS).

Gosh, I'm knackered!!

Hope to meet up soon, everyone!

Bubble99 · 04/08/2007 19:40

What is this 'Kew Beach' of which you speak?

I'm clueless. Details please.

Kewcumber · 04/08/2007 19:40

He did indeed Sushi - Slept from about 1.15 and I woke him at 4pm. Sorry not to hang around I do like to get him home for his nap if possible as he sleeps better (and it gives me a break!)

Then I wore him out in the paddling pool over at Foxie's (in the guise of bringing some clotehs over...) He's exhausted again. Hopefully he'll go off to sleep early...

Kewcumber · 04/08/2007 19:42

Bubble - Kew have a mediterranean summer consisted of a pile of boring plants and a giant sandpit "the beach". It's great for the little ones and the sand is good for sandacstles around the edge. Next to Pavillion cafe nr Lion gate.

stepfordwife · 04/08/2007 20:40

evening all
phew what a scorcher, indeedie
hope you all enjoyed
thanks a million for the paddle pool-fest, foxie. lovely to see you all and ds2 has grown AGAIN!

and i very much liked the raspberry smoothie/rose combo. and the heart-shaped ice, er, hearts were lush. see, see, i can do it, i can have girlie tendencies...

grand to see you, too, kew - and ds, of course. apologies for dd's initial pushing around. mind you, he looked far more alarmed when she was attempting to be nice to him - ie: picking him up and shepherding him down steps, didn't he?

oh - thank the lord dh DID have a nice little barbie ready as dss very underwhelmed with my fobbing them off with a "quick pasta." again..

stepfordwife · 04/08/2007 21:04

hmmmm...wonder is paddle has her frock hitched up doing "oops upside my head" yet?..
oh dear..
a) showing my age - and..
b) that i don't go to classy weddings

lemonaid · 04/08/2007 21:22

No... if it's nine o'clock it must be time for "Dancing Queen"...

SushiMummy · 04/08/2007 22:08

Oh dear, think I've got sunburn. My shoulders and neck are really red and painful, just applied some baby lotion to soothe.

DH painted cupboard doors and fixed some leaky bits of the roof while we were at Kew beach today. Well, I did a bit of nagging and sulking last night...

Kewcumber · 04/08/2007 22:21

and I bet he was really smug about you getting burnt. Thought your friends were lovely by the way.

stepfordwife · 04/08/2007 22:26

nearly time for "three times a lady" now.....

foxcub · 04/08/2007 22:31
  • shows you how long since you lot went for a good night out eh??

Sushi sorry we missed each other - next time!! 7 hours at the beach eh - no wonder you got burnt!

Kew/Steppy - enjoyed seeing you and your lovely DCs today. I have washed the cream floor now!! Actually is very easy to clean (just as well eh?)

I feel quite grown up being a "landlady" now and the sort of woman who yells at her kids - "careful with your muddy feet - I've just washed that floor" LOL!!

foxcub · 04/08/2007 22:31

..or possibly I am turning into my mother? [hm]

lemonaid · 04/08/2007 22:33

Should be nearly time for "Love Cats" and "Come On Eileen". I'm assuming for purposes of calculating timings that "Tainted Love" is considered Unsuitable For A Wedding...
