Blackpool Mums Meet up

Sorry you failed your test, but it is quite rare to pass first time. You will probably do it next time.

I will be at softplay tomorrow but how will I know you you are. This is like a blind date!

Sorry to interrupt again...

Is the soft play area at Stanley park open all week? I was just wondering if it was possible for us to meet up on a sat or sun as I could get DH to drop me off. I've been here nearly nine months now and I haven't been to the park yet. I think it's because we're still excited about living near the beach

Soft play is only on certain days in the week, sorry.
Nikim, i will be there with ds, he is 19 months and blonde. Bonnies DD is 20 months with little blonde pigtails. (v v cute).
I will be looking like a super model in the corner (you may have trouble squeezing past my BIG fat ass) And Bonnie is a slim thing looking v v sad at not passing her test, we will be throwing chocolate at her at 5 minuite intervals!
How will we recognise you? We are hoping that you are not a mad axe murderer.....(you never know!!!)

hi again. looking forward to tomorrow, have checked the weather and it's not supposed to be raining which is good. I'll be there at about 9.45am. Are we meeting outside? Sorry it's not on at the weekends Zeldagirl, but you must try to get up there at some point as it really is a lovely park. Let me know if you're free one day next week and we might be able to meet up somewhere nearer. I was thinking of going to the afternoon tots group but dd still has a sleep after lunch and can get very grumpy if she misses it. speak soon, and see you tomorrow, nikim and Donbean!

My dd was in the local panto tonight so only just finished tidying up.

I will probably be dressed in red, short bob brown hair.

My dd has very short blonde babyish hair which may be in pigtails she is three and a half - she will probably be the one throwing the tantrum!

Perhaps we could arrange to meet up at Stanley park cafe for a coffee one day in the next week or two for a proper chat.

I didn't feel abandoned at all! As you may have read on the other thread I have been having a lot of problems with dd so the time with her away from housework etc was great. I felt a bit rude as I was so caught up with dd and didn't have time to talk - what sensitive souls we both are!

hi nikkim, just echoing Donbean really. It was lovely to meet you today. It just gets really hectic up there and especially today as there were a lot of older children. Trying to protect the little ones from getting trampled! Your dd seemed to be having a good time and I hope you'll be able to make it again.

zeldagirl, soft play on mon - fri 9.30-11.30am and mon and tue 1.30-3 i think with mona and tue afternoons but i go reg on mornings. have two and it is a great break for me and entertainment for them.

Yep, I'm here in Blackpool, we've got a Hotel on Palatine, I'm 29, DH is 32, DS1 is almost 7 and DS2 is 18m. We moved to Blackpool in June from Gloucester with my Mum and we absolutely love Blackpool

I can't do any meet ups at the moment unfortunately (long story )but would love to chat on here if that's ok?

I can understand that the season is about to get underway so hopefully you will be busy. (is it you that has a hotel?)
Its just that there are a couple of us with toddlers who live in or around Blackpool and who frequent MN and we get together regularly. It would be lovely to meet you.

Just managed to read most of the thread, do you still meet up on a Thursday at Stanley Park? I don't want to organise anything right now with Half Term and Bank Holiday but if I know you are usually there then if I can make it I'll come along - I just hate letting people down

We love Stanley Park, It's beautiful - DS dropped his smarties last time we were there and the squirrels took them!

Sorry, nipped to Freeport for an hour.
Yes, there is a soft play area at Stanley park sports centre on a Thursday morning 9.45~11.30.
Its £2.10 and for little kids, your 18 month old would love it!
We meet up there every Thursday, me,my ds 22 months, Bonniej,her dd 23 months and Frankie26, her dd is 23 months and her ds is 10 months nearly.
We dont mind meeting on other days at other times if this isnt convenient, we all love Stanley park and the cafe does gorgeous cakes & coffee. Just name your day, whenever you are ready we would love to meet another mn Blackpool mum!

Hiya , I lost my link for this site as we had to re-format puter. Back again now!

Still not been to stanley park , we have been to the zoo though which we were impressed with. DD#1 starts school in a week and I haven't bought anything yet - apart from a lunchbox so will be running around like a lunatic this week.

We would all still love to meet up with you some time.
Good luck getting every thing together for your dd first day at school, which school is she going to? Is she excited?
Mine and Bonnies little ones start play school next week and we are nervous about that, Lord only knows how we will be when it comes to big school like yours!
We both check in on this from time to time, as i know that you are back, i will check daily so if you want a natter or to arrange a meet up then i will catch up with your postings dont worry.
