I know this is a long shot, but are there any Blackpool mums out there who would like to meet? If there are any nearby please email!!

yes and it is lovely in the cafe now as well. The rain at the moment is on and off - just looked out of my window and the sun is shining now- so we might get chance to dash out and feed a few ducks.

I am assuming you are bringing your dd as I will have to bring mine.

I can't make it this afternoon nikkim, I am actually busy (for a change ) Shame though as the weather is improving and dd does love the park. This saturday is ds birthday (he'll be 16 but still loves the attention on his birthday) but I'm free the Saturday after (16th) if that's any good for you. Maybe Donbean can make it too? I've just read your other thread and really do hope your day improves. I often have days like that. Speak to you soon xx

I would have loved to meet up 16th, but im working sorry. will definitely definitely love to meet the next time though. psycology eh, when do you have time to study and revise? I have just struggled my way through a course and handed the work in last Friday. J only sleeps for 1 hour in the morning so ive had to try to do course work then, i usually do my "bits" you know hoover etc during that time so my house is a tip at the moment. I am just too tired to concentrate in the evening so it has been very very hard work.Please please do let me know when you are arranging another get together, in the mean time keep the messages coming you brighten my day!

Nikkim, how are you fixed for the 16th? Donbean, we will have to arrange something for when you can make it as well. After all it seems like there are only three of us on the Fylde. Let me know when you are free. Would love to meet some fellow mumsnetters

lol bonnie I didn't mean this afternoon! was commenting on the fact that one minute it is fine and the next minute chucking it down. WAs too busy having a day from hell to go to the park!

I think the 16th should be fine though

I thought that, Nikkim. Then again, leaving everything and going to the park might have been just the tonic you needed. Hope your day improved and you have a better one today. If the 16th is ok for you that's great. Afternoons are better for me than mornings as dd sleeps all morning (great when I'm home but a pain when I want to go out) she gets really grouchy if she doesn't get her sleep. Let me know what time would be best for you.

sorry bonnie being very dizzy as dd has a birthday party on the 16th that I ahd forgotten all about.

I can do the sunday or maybe the following weekend. That may match up with Donbean as well.

Unfortunatley my day didn't get much better as I was I ahd to attend some training in the evening until half past nine and then came back to a row with dp about my dd behaviour.

My mum has taken dd today so I can have a break and get some revision done.

The following weekend is my FIL's 60th birthday and I think we'll have family staying, but not quite sure at the moment. It would be good if the three of us could arrange to meet together. Donbean, when's the best time for you?

Yes am off on Sunday,which sunday is it though. Im off this Sunday but not next. Any time will do although wee satan has a sleep mid morning!

I can't do this sunday as have exams on tuesday and am very behind with my revision. Any other sunday is fine though!

There's only three of us and we can't arrange a date. What would we do if there were more of us . I can do most Sunday's just not the next one. How about Sat 23rd or Sun 24th?

Sorry, havent been ignoring you have been working and wasnt able to reply till now.
Yes i thought of Wacky too but i also thought that it will be heaving and noisy. As its nice,do you fancy a wander in Stanley park instead? we could get a brew in the cafe there, we go there quite allot when its fine.
Let me know what time suits you as we havent got any thing on this afternoon.

sorry am going to be crap and call a raincheck on today. Have a terrible head and feel a bit queazy - deserve no symapthy was self inflicted from a bottle of red last night.

Thats ok, no probs. Had a bad head myself. Dh fed me anadin and took myself off to bed for a kip.
Still got headache but enjoyed sneeky kip.
Ds sleeping is terrible at the mo, he hasnt slept at night for about a month now so im getting a bit knackered.With having to work as well its hard going.
How old is your little one,and did you have problems ever with sleep at all? (i get the impression that she is a bit older bieng able to handle scissors and cut her own hair in a skillful manner!!)
Do you mind still chatting?

just got up spent the afternoon in bed nursing a very sore head, and being fed chicken soup by dp. I can't belive how pathetic I am! I am a bit annoyed really that we have wasted a day as we started stripping the wallpaper in our front room last weekend and planned to finish it this weekend but have done nothing. I also need to clear out my study so I acn get the sewing machine out to make dd halloween costume.

Of course I don't mind chatting, chatting is my one true natural skill.

My dd was three last month, we ahve been very lucky and never had any problems with her sleeping apart form the odd night. She is like her mother and values her sleep highly.

How old s your ds?

Are you going to brave your mother and toddler group again. It is a bit of a treck for you but the mother and toddler at All Hallow's church in Bispham is very friendly, it runs every Thursday although I don't think it is poen during term times.

Hi you two. It's my fil's 60th party today so wouldn't have been able to make a meet up, been busy making food. Then again look at the weather Why is it like this EVERY day now. It started off so lovely this morning. Would still like to meet you both if we can ever get to arrange a suitable day! I'm free next Saturday morning if that's any good.
