oooh, tell me more!

mellow2 · 23/07/2007 12:27

Foxie,

I checked the weather on weather.com and it looks like it's going to rain all week. Are you still planning on a picnic on Thursday? They're normally quite accurate.

TW8 weather

It's a 70s party for dh's work mate so full of hunky removal men (oh just what you need eh )

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 12:37

did someone say "lots of single men"?

Paddlechick666 · 23/07/2007 12:51

oooh now that is exactly just what I need!

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 12:52

Sushi the weather wasn't really good enough for gherkin-kun to beach it. But he really really didn't like grass until a few weeks ago. Now its OK unless its wet in which case it is spawn of the devil again

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 12:53

I'm checking my source re Kew music Foxie will let you know asap.

foxcub · 23/07/2007 13:15

Thanks Kew

Mellow - the BBc says "light showers" with blobs of sunshine so the answer to your question is "yes, I am planning to"...

Today was supposed to be rain all day and its been dry so far...

butterbeer · 23/07/2007 13:57

Can't make Cho San, I'm afraid -- normal babysitting avenues are unavailable on Tuesday.

mellow2 · 23/07/2007 14:01

OK, dd and I will be joining you then.

What would you like me to bring to the picnic? Any particular food or drink?

OP posts:
foxcub · 23/07/2007 14:05

Mellow - how about if we all bring some lunch for ourselves plus one thing to share?

I'll bring Cava and Cake

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 14:08

and can you save some for me and I'll pick it up on the way home foxie?

foxcub · 23/07/2007 14:10

Did you hear that girls: DON'T scoff the entire cake!!!!

Will try Kew - although we may still be in Kew at 4.30pm .....I may be too drunk to walk home

mellow2 · 23/07/2007 14:17

Hmm, should I bring Pimms and sandwiches?

OP posts:
mellow2 · 23/07/2007 14:18

Well, I thought that was the whole point.

No, that would be really irresponsible as I've got to take dd back on the bus.

OP posts:
foxcub · 23/07/2007 14:21

You may end up on the wrong bus!

My sister was coming home from work one day and was really tired but remembered to get off the bus at Sainsbury's/ trouble is it was the wrong Sainsbury's! She stood there for a moment before she realised!

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 14:29

my new contact has confirmed no world music diaspora in Kew this year (in Hyde park instead). I am no longer The Woman Who Knows Everything I am The Woman Who Knows Nothing

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 14:30

on the upside I know have a new contact in Kew Gardens Information department

ComeOVeneer · 23/07/2007 14:46

Is anyone still planning on doing the MN summer picnic in Hyde Park this Sunday?

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 14:54

I'd like to if the weather is good, but DS naps from around 1-3pm so would have to be say 11am to 1pm or post 3pm.

ComeOVeneer · 23/07/2007 15:01

The weather doesn't look very proising unfortunately. I think I may give it amiss (will probably still be packing up the kitchen cupboards for the builders to start the next day).

ComeOVeneer · 23/07/2007 15:02

promising

SushiMummy · 23/07/2007 15:04

DH and I are having a chat about moving (within Kew). I found this house with 3/4 bed and a garage and sent a link to DH. He came back saying 'it's a town house!'. I never lived in a town house and don't really understand why he doesn't like it. What's wrong with town houses?

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 15:07

this only (possible) problem with them is they tend to be tall and thin with smaller rooms and often kitchen and living room on differnt floors. I would just look at whether you can afford it and whetehr you like it. Wouldn;t be a problem for me.

Kewcumber · 23/07/2007 15:07

(have you won the lottery sushi?)
