Brand new thread for July.

Yes, thinking about the 2yo boys I know I do really know that (rather than "not sure if") almost none of them have elder siblings at all, and the one who does has a sister rather than a brother so that wouldn't work.

And the grammar in that sentence was completely crocked, but it's been a hard day.

eleusis · 18/07/2007 13:31

Oh, I know who you are. Anothe foreigner.

You must come out with us. And you must come to the Christmas do as well. If there is a West London dinner before the party, do you want to join?

Kewcumber · 18/07/2007 13:34

oh blimey not more foreigners

Kewcumber · 18/07/2007 13:34

I don't mind Putney or East Sheen, Lemon

stepfordwife · 18/07/2007 13:36

hi everyone

welcome starrystarrynight i have ds1,7, ds, 6, and dd, 2.

well done, foxie, the amazing shrinking woman
and congrats on all the gifted, chattering offspring. dd has suddenly started talking more - well, saying more words that i can actually understand, that is. it's such a cute stage, isn't it?

lol butterbear - ds adding "actually" to everything - ds1 used to do that. at the grand of age of 7, he's now progressed to putting 'to be honest with you, mum" at the end of his sentences, usually when he's letting me down (not so) gently about the quality of my cooking efforts or something..
not convinced i need that level of honesty.

right, better do some work. think i've got end-of-termitis like the little fellas..
toodlepip

Kewcumber · 18/07/2007 13:38

steppie - I have been fact checked by email by Prima - was so tempted to say I was a 27 yr old called Dave and wtf were they on about? I have a very wierd sense of humour sometimes...

stepfordwife · 18/07/2007 13:42

..but, kew, thought you told me your alter-ego was wayne, 35, from surbiton?

Kewcumber · 18/07/2007 13:43

no thats my DP who lives in the shed. I am Dave.

stepfordwife · 18/07/2007 13:44

oh, of course.thought he was allowed into the house now...

Kewcumber · 18/07/2007 13:46

one mildy amusing note from a very not amusing thread - 2 posters (who don't know me) discussing how I had a DS when I said on a separate thread that I hadn't given birth (very odd speculating and not asking as I was on said thread).

Just felt I had to point out to them that approx 50% of people who had DC's hadn't given birth... obviously floored them as neither commented on that blinding piece of insight!

stepfordwife · 18/07/2007 13:53

very strange..not that you've got a ds without giving birth, but they didn't just ask..
was that the mohze thread? had a quick skim.never fails to amaze me how some people get so het up that someone they don't even know doesn't act within the "normal" range of behaviour when it has zero impact on their own lives. call me old-fashioned..

eleusis · 18/07/2007 13:57

old fashioned

Hi StarryStarryNight. My DS is 21m and I live in Kew. I am an old mum (42) who works full time.

So we foreigners outnumber Brits, then?

foxcub · 18/07/2007 14:05

welcome starry

when's the next piss up then?

butterbeer · 18/07/2007 14:12

What a strange thread...

(that one, not this one)

Kewcumber · 18/07/2007 14:26

am highly amused that I have turned into a mozhe defender (in some eyes) on that thread. I don't understand her actions and I agree with a few but not many of her posts.

If she had been any other regular posting that there would have been the same consensus (ie ARE YOU MAD WOMAN!) but it would all be very fluffy and much talk of PTSD in premature births and dealing with it through disassociation. Rather than "piss off you big ugly troll I bet your DH is shagging the au pair and while we're on the subject how dare you mention a nanny..."

Of course her posts are a little out of right field often so maybe she's set herself up for it?

I'm even more amused that a few posters are (apparently?) concerned that I am going to be terribly hurt when she turns out ot be a troll. OK hands up who thinks thats likely - I'll be sobbing into my latte over at M&S

eleusis · 18/07/2007 14:37

Is our next meet up at CoOV's on the 11th? Or should we arrange something else for say early or mid August while e wait to see if the the sorely missed Nanou ever reappears.

eleusis · 18/07/2007 14:50
