OP posts:
Kewcumber · 17/07/2007 15:09

nope bugger off.

Kewcumber · 17/07/2007 15:10

that was to both of you...

Oh god i have to do some work

eleusis · 17/07/2007 15:38

COV, is there a thread somewhwere?

Are we going to let CD come... yeah, as if she would ever show anyway.

CountessDracula · 17/07/2007 15:39

well I am going to see Prince that night

I have a sneaking suspicion that Eleusis has hacked into my diary and only books these things for days that I am busy

eleusis · 17/07/2007 15:54

You could pick a date and arrange a meet up. (if you can find a free date in your diary)

Kewcumber · 17/07/2007 15:58

Yay! All round to CD's house for a piss up.

eleusis · 17/07/2007 16:09

Trouble is no one actually knows where she lives. I think I know the street but that's it.

CountessDracula · 17/07/2007 16:18

errrr

29th September

Kewcumber · 17/07/2007 16:22

lets drag up and down that street then trying to spot the ridgeback [stalky emoticon]

eleusis · 17/07/2007 17:17

Is that your NEXT free slot? You are worse than I am.

But, actually, the timing isn't bad. If we go to COV on 11 August, we'll be due for the next night out on the 29th. Where shall we go?

foxcub · 17/07/2007 18:08

Padle - congrats on your first property in Richmond. We're officially neighbours now - hurrah!!
R U walking distance to Primark in Hounslow?

Paddlechick666 · 17/07/2007 18:26

thanks all! no foxie it's not!

now my IFA has just told me he can't see me for a week and it will take up to 8 weeks to get my mortgage offer confirmed because the one and only lender i can use are essentially crap.

jeeezuz!

can't use a different ifa because these ones are specialists in homebuy etc.

can someone explain why dd has put a sock on the fridge door and is licking it and saying it's an ice cream?

weird!

eleusis · 17/07/2007 20:31

Don't feel bad. DD was licking the wall when I put her to bed. I said, "That disgusting." with a rather disgusted look on my face. She smiled and said, "Yummy!" Oh, okay, next time you want chocolate how bout you just have a lick of the nearest wall????

Kewcumber · 18/07/2007 10:17

Off to the IOW this weekend. Hurrah! Dear mum is babysitting one evening so I can go out with my sister. Hurrah!

Kewcumber · 18/07/2007 10:19

and big news DS is trying to speak and his first word attempted is....

"please"

if you ask him if he wasnts something now he says... "pl" with great emphasis and a LOT of spit Bless!

foxcub · 18/07/2007 10:22

I decided to keep DD at home yesterday as she was knackered after Monday's walk in the park.

Dropped DS1 off at 9am, thinking "Oh Goody, I am now free until 3pm".

Met another Mum in supermarket who offered to pick up DS1 for a playdate - meaning I was free until 5.30pm!!!

So I managed to do loads of chores which had been hanging around for ages, PLUS spend the afternoon at the Boden shop in Ealing, trying on clothes. DS2 lay on a cushion in the large changing troom while DD flitted around in her tiara, keeping an eye on him, while I flitted in and out of the changing room trying on clothes.

What a fab afternoon! I am now officially a size 12 - down from a size 16 three months ago. Am now almost back to my pre DS1 size

Paddle, I may need that lady who does alterations too.

I think the real challenge will be when I return to work and am sitting on my butt all day ...bored and visualising food...

foxcub · 18/07/2007 10:23

Kew - x posts

Wow - that's fabulous! "please" is a good word to start with too, so much better than "No!"

Well done mini Kew

Kewcumber · 18/07/2007 10:26

Paddle - apparently current best indian restaurant in London is not going to be far from you "Mantra Dining" indian fusion in West hounslow.

My colleague who lives more towards hounslow says that a popular area for families and the kids seem nice and not yobs (her words not mine!)

SushiMummy · 18/07/2007 10:33

Good morning all.

Foxie, you dropped two sizes in three months!?

QC, have a lovely time in IOW! 'Please' is such a nice word for his first. Aaahh, Gherkin-kun!!

Paddlechick666 · 18/07/2007 10:34

mmmm yummy! well, with the mortgage situation as it is i might lose this flat. we'll see i guess. what will be will be.

well done gherkin too. what a lovely polite boy!

foxie am very trying on boden clothes. i am desperately in need of seamstress and/or new stuff as i look like a sack of spuds at present.....

is anyone going to the MN picnic?

i was planning to but am now thinking of farming dd out to grandma next week. swedish friends are staying the friday night here and have booked a flight out of heathrow at 6:45am which means checking in at 4:45 which means leaving here at 4:15am.

there is no way dd would sleep thru them leaving with a 10month old and i can't cope with her being up from 4am.

am quite miffed actually! altho i suspect they've done it as i mentioned the picnic but said i'd skip it to take them to airport if necessary.

Kewcumber · 18/07/2007 10:34

and the clothes are great sushi - thanks so much. They will no doubt get handed down the Mumsnet line...

sfxmum · 18/07/2007 10:40

morning all

KC way to go gherkin no stopping him now

foxie well done on shrinking front, am seriously struggling

paddle hope it does not fall through unless it leads to something better

hi sushi

i feel trendy today, as i watched live last weekend 3 of the more obscure mercury nomineessurely not the right order of things

off to try and catch some sunshine and tire dd out

mellow2 · 18/07/2007 10:45

Here's a shameless plug for my site.

PC,
I've got a sale going on in my organic store and I've got some lovely organic tees for £12.

Have a browse at www.greentrading.co.uk. If you're interested I'm sure I could do you a deal on the non-sale items too.

Btw, ladies, I've got a sale on some of the baby stuff too.

OP posts:
mellow2 · 18/07/2007 10:46

Well done, foxie! It took me a year to get back to my pre-pg size despite the sleep deprivation.

OP posts:
butterbeer · 18/07/2007 11:32

Congratulations to the gherkin! You won't be able to keep him quiet soon.

(DS's latest habit: adding actually onto the end of sentences when he wants to patronise me . E.g. "It's over there, actually, mummy". I try not to laugh, but I tend to fail)
