Brand new thread for July.

OP posts:
eleusis · 11/07/2007 13:19

I can't remember who you are.

rosmerta · 11/07/2007 13:22

I'm puds!

foxcub · 11/07/2007 13:26

I seem to recall they had fabtastic smoothies and fab food at the school fair last year. Quite trendy they are

off to find nasty OP...

Kewcumber · 11/07/2007 13:35

sounds like lunch at the fair then (KXC crosses fingers for sun)

butterbeer · 11/07/2007 13:37

Maybe Anna is concerned the woman will bring back an ugly baby. As I recall, she insists on surrounding herself with beautiful things and people...

SushiMummy · 11/07/2007 13:39

ta for the explanation qc. you've got a huge fan base in MN! True celeb, you are!

2Cute · 11/07/2007 13:46

Really trying to resist this thread you're talking about because people like that really pee me off TBH. How can someone get off on upsetting others?

Thanks CoV Where are you off to in 5 weeks? I know what you mean about this weather especially with the summer hols fast approaching.

We're off to Hawaii for a week to celebrate my 18th birthday (plus or minus 12 yrs!) then on to Florida for another week. I am dreading the 12 hr flight with a painful back though.

Kewcumber · 11/07/2007 13:48

Hawai?!

SushiMummy · 11/07/2007 14:03

2cute! Aaaah, Hawaii, I used to go there a lot. (Mum has a flat there.) Which island are you going, then? I love Maui and the big island. It's 12 hour flight followed by another 5 hour flight so take plenty of pain killer and do some exercise on the planes. Have a lovely time and "Hang loose"!

ComeOVeneer · 11/07/2007 14:12

We are off to Boston for a long weekend, then 2 weeks in Cape Cod followed by a wekend in Rhode Island. It started off as along weekend in Rhode Island for dh's cousins wedding, but we decided the cost/long flight and jetlag, was silly for a few days so decided to make it our summer holiday instead.

butterbeer · 11/07/2007 14:16

Do the Duck Tour! And the (free) tour of the Boston Public Library...

ComeOVeneer · 11/07/2007 14:25

Thanks Butterbeer, we have done the Duck Tour the last time we went. We are staying with the parent's of the groom (dh's great uncle) for the weekend so it will mostly be family stuff, plus (for me anyway) a visit to Filenne's basement to search out some bargains

Kewcumber · 11/07/2007 14:29

Sushi - you know I've always liked your mum... you must bring her aorund for tea when she's over. In fact she can stay with me if you like...

ComeOVeneer · 11/07/2007 14:32

Fancy a Hawian holiday do you KC

sfxmum · 11/07/2007 14:39

foxie - is it an elitist event?i must shun in at once!!!

2cute and COY lovely holidays you have plannedenjoy!

apparently there are no wellies to be found in Richmondexcept for poncy Hunters that is.
guess in our way through ruralshire we will find some

sfxmum · 11/07/2007 14:41

like to surround herself with beauty PMSL oh dear
it's like those silly singers insisting on rooms of pure white and specific thread count on bedsheets loony! there evil madness lies

SushiMummy · 11/07/2007 14:42

lol QC!

sfx, did you try Shoestation in Kew or the shop in the gardens next to C&C?

ComeOVeneer · 11/07/2007 14:43

Oh lord. And to think I have been in agreement with said OP on other threads relating to WOHM/SAHM issues . COV hangs head in shame and scuttles off to do the school run.

sfxmum · 11/07/2007 14:44

the Kew shop only had Hunters yesterday thought shoestation was just for kids, isn't we get stuff for dd there sometimes had not noticed for adults - thanks sushi

Kewcumber · 11/07/2007 14:47

COV absolutely not! SushiMama has been one of my closest friends for some time now. Lovely woman.

SushiMummy · 11/07/2007 15:02

the thread has been deleted...

well, the flat has tenant now. Mum doesn't want to go back there as my dad died there - too painful even after 15 years.

Kewcumber · 11/07/2007 15:04

at least I can get on with some work now.

SushiMummy · 11/07/2007 15:04

to put the fact right, dad didn't die in the flat, well in hospital, really.

butterbeer · 11/07/2007 15:12

Amazingly, the tenant turns out to be one of Kew's oldest friends. She may need to head over there in person to jog his memory, though. And to stick around for a couple of weeks to give his powers of recollection time to recapture the past...

stepfordwife · 11/07/2007 15:40

hi all
kew, well done for holding your own on THAT thread. i posted but it has been deleted! (whole thread, not just my post, that is) yep, have disliked her judgmental posts generally since joined MN. bit sad to be hijacking your husband's work decisions, too. maybe she should get a job

weather permitting, would love to join you all for a spot of lunch at riverside.

did anyone watch that new programme cape wrath last night? i forgot but it's being touted as a new twin peaks which i LOVED (anyone remember it..most of you are probably too young - damn you..if not:Fancy a cup of cawfee and a nice slice of cherry pie?')
