Was thinking about going to weymouth for the day in half term. Anyone want to meet up?

Hope to be able to bring my 4 DC to weymouth in the half term hols. Its about 1hr train ride from me and we have done it before!
Thought it might be nice to meet some MNers on the beach(or somewhere else). [nervous emoticon]

Anyone interested?

Towel in case?
Aldi is out of the station, turn right, walk along side B&Q. There's KFC, McDonalds Matalan and at the bottom is Aldi, no longer than 5 mins walk max.

Ah yes got a towel.
Have laid out all the clothes ready for tomorrow.
Perfect, 5 mins walk is great. Will i be able to resist Matalan though

Am very of you all going to lovely weymouth. Wish i could join you but working and car keeps mis-behaving Have a super day. Fingers crossed for nice weather for you. (I am happy to have your share of rain here ;) )

Anyone know if you can you walk to the Nothe fort or is it only accessable from the little boat?

yes you can walk to Nothe Fort and it's a great place for a picnic, weather permitting of course!

It's raining.

Sorry i wasn't on last night, had tea then watched a dvd, then bed.
I am getting the 11.50 train into weymouth from Dorch.
Now i will be wearing a coat,(either my short camel/beige coloured one, or my calf length black one with fur on hood) jeans and not sure on trainers, Only rain type shoes i got are boots with heels. haven't worn them for a while.

Rain in the morning and sun after lunch. I got a bit of sun/wind burn on my neck, it's a v shape.
No he didn't drive me mad Tortoise, at least he gets on with people and not too shy, well, none of your 4 were shy.
It was fun.
Next time i'm off is july 16-20 now.
I slept like a log last night, must be all that fresh air.

glad you had a nice time. I get sun stroke just looking at the weather forcast! Weymouth sun always burns me despite strong sun lotion and covering up! but id never stops me having a good splash in the sea.
